"Do? Sober up, at one..." Jarred coughed. "But I'm sure we can find a way to tag along." Jarred glanced at the military people around him. "Forget you heard that."

Because no moment is EVER complete without me finding some way to work into it, Jarred's PDA began to chirp, the ID showing that it had been redirected from one of his offices.

Eulalia Danae ArynChris Eulalia Danae Svarly followed after him watching the crepes as they warmed, her stomach announcing it's presence by form of a low gurgle. "Good cop isn't a bad role to play." She was quiet for a moment then shrugged. "Didn't kill anyone, at least not directly. My sister was more into that role than I ever was, I've just been a common go-between for the heads and the lowers of the Kore, that's it. I don't have all that much information, and my only real worth was when I was doing my job, because it offered a lot of manipulation opportunities. But now, without that, I'm just as much worth to people as a grunt they pulled off the field." Dev took that in, quiet himself for a moment as the crepes finished. Finally, he dished them out onto a couple plates and set them on the table, one in front of Svarlena, and handed her some silverware. Assorted syrups and sugars were on a small, rotating tray in the center of the table. He sat with her to eat, pausing first to bow his head in an ancient ritual prayer of thanks.(this got missed a couple posts back.) Svarly had her own form of a prayer before eating, an odd movement with her hands, but it was a similar enough gesture. She also remained quiet, leading the next bit of events to shatter the silence. ((Could be worse. Someone could have been offline for like a week... Oh, wait... *facepalm*))
Dev ate he crepes quietly, using a lot of cherry syrup. "I'm an accountant. I used to get in a lot of trouble in school, riding cycles in pedestrian zones and breaking the Cultural History laws so my bike could fly over 50 meters, but it was my cousin Thomas who got arrested. I was part of a gang because he was, but the most I ever did was help hide contraband. I caught glimpses of him, though... That's how I became a Friend. His girlfriend and I both saw what happened to him, and we wanted a way out that wouldn't have the gang chasing us down. I became a Friend... she started to, but she was a wild one, so she went into FOX instead. After a while, I stopped seeing her around, so I guess they moved her offworld... I'm still here, because it's stable. She might come back, or the gang might start looking for me again, and... this life is what I'm used to. Just enough danger on the sidelines, just enough upset to never be quite comfortable, and just enough things stay the same that I can deal with it. I still never do anything worse than messing with the bike, even if I don't threaten to run down pedestrians."
"Oh, cut the sob story, Devin." The black woman from before had come in behind Svarly and was leaning in the doorway. "We've all got one, and she doesn't care. She's Kore, remember? Or--wait, did we even tell you? She's General Jack's sister-in-law. FOX 12 wants her."
Dev looked up in disgust. "Why in the name of the Lord would I care? Do I look like a FOX? Keep your dirt to yourself."

Arch the Angel And then THE WALL EXPLODED IN! ... No, seriously. Alright, so it was more of the door, but bits of the wall went with it, crumbling down the stairs to the kitchen. Four armed members of the KAOT quickly moved down, weapons out, securing the area, two of them guns trained on Svarly and Dev. "On the ground! Now!" This got missed, too.

((No biggy. I'm sure this post will end up getting ignored as well, so I'll take liberties.))
The KAOT apprehended the individuals there, hauling Svarly off to a separate place than the others, who's place is nondescript in that I don't care enough, it's just secure.
Bagging and gagging said and done, Svarly found herself sitting in the classic off-green painted room with a table, two chairs, and a one way window. A short woman in casual dress walked in, taking the other seat. "So.. Svarly Pendari, is it?" She tapped on the table, a section of her half lighting up, a computer monitor, detailing information on Svarly. "Care to tell me why a Kore operative would not only be on Earth literally minutes after war was declared, but getting into a fight outside of a bar?"
Before Svarly responded, Agent Brind held up a hand. "Before you answer, I'd like to inform you, as I'm required to give you some idea of the degree in trouble you're in, the only reason you haven't been locked in a deep, dark, godforsaken hole like the people who we let snatch you away from the police HQ is because we've recently been given word that your sister is on Earth, an ex-Kore operative, and under the personal eye of a Mr. Jarred Shanra, an individual of no little amount of power or ire amongst some of our ranks." She cleared her throat. "Sorry for the tangent. Back to the question at hand: what are you doing here?"
- - - -
Jarred gathered a copy of the data on Gautrine from the computers, as well as Sara, who was then ordered to hand over control of the fleet, and answered his phone.

Johachim's voice greeted him, on the other end. "Just who I wanted to speak to. I am in need of your particular brand of knowledge and hardware, Mister Shanra."

"God damnit, how do people get this number? I'm not exactly in the phone book." Jarred sighed. "Talk to my people, or call your local police folks. Who is this, anyways?"

"It is Johachim Mizrahi. And this is something far outside of local police, or even your military. They have the toys, yes, but not the brain you have. That is what I need. That, and your Emerald Haze. I have a certain issue with a Kore-made AI that had taken over my organization and used it to cause much damage and strife. I lack the means to do so myself, as I have precious little programming knowledge, and even less on Kore systems. You, however... Are a man of talents."

"Svarlena, Svarly is a privileged nickname, and you're not priviledged yet." Svarly leaned back in the chair. "If I was a spy, I'd be smart enough not to be out fighting in a bar...and would likely have been trying to infiltrate something fancy. You hit my reason for being here on the head, however. My sister. She's dead, and I've followed along with the ship carrying her body, so I can bring her back to our home planet."

"Really? Johachim Mizrahi? St. Nick over there, juggling easter eggs?" Jarred sighed. "Look pal, I don't know how you got this number, but I don't even call people pal, so don't prank this again." Jarred hung up, sighing. "Anyways..."

"Yes, well, fact still remains that you are what you are, and our various factions are at war." Agent Brind folded her hands over the table, leaning foreword. "So here's what's going to go down. You're a war prisoner, and you have choices. You can either make a deal with us, information for various benefits to you, or you can sit in a jail and rot. I'm sure I could think up a third option, but I'd rather not go there."

Undaunted, however, he hit the redial button.

"Indeed. Information, I can give you whatever information you'd like from me. Most of it may not be extremely helpful in the war." She paused a smile building up across her lips. "However, I can tell you the names of the Kore spies stationed on Earth and its colonies, given as I was the one who handed out those assignments."
--- Pen gave Jarred a gentle pat on the cheek before moving to use one of the police station phones. "I'm going to call Eric and Hattie, let them know I'm alive....if they'll believe me." She absently dialed in the number and waited as it rang.

"Oh my god stop prank calling me!" Jarred yelled into the phone, hanging up once more.
"Now... Sara is removed from your computers, or is removing herself as we speak. There should be little trouble, however, I believe Gautrine has information the military needs, in fact, I think, unless you guys have more info than I think, which is highly possible, we all need a sit down, and soon."

She pulled a small phone from her pocket, standing up and sliding it across the table. "I'll go talk to my people, you get one free phone call, which will be monitored."
