Damn-that scared me. Thanks for figuring it out.

Eck! Well, I'm glad that that's straightened out at least.

Freaky...I just took a closer look at that YouTube video. Man, it's amazing how many people were in on the hoax. I marked all those "RIP Brian May" comments as spam and moved on.

Oh, and you're welcome. I love racing left and right around the internet. It is my calling. biggrin

Ooh! I'm gonna check on my Break Free-oriented post in the QOL forums now! *runs to Queenonline with fingers crossed*

Good!! I hope there will be more people for the guild....
Anyways, I love running around the internet!! Best (and only) thing to do.

Hardly anybody on QOL has replied to my post! gonk

A handful of people have, but none of them sound like they're going to join. One person was impressed by Mer-Freddie, though.

A possible point of interest is that there were two people who said they used to have an account here, but nobody talked to them so they left. o_O

GAH!!! We just let TWO potential driving forces of Break Free slip through our fingers! stressed

Ah, well. Maybe it'll improve as time goes on. *trying with every ounce of willpower to be optimistic*

I don't know... this is going to be pretty hard. We can't be the only Queen fans on Gaia. Something must be done!! Hmmmm, my friend and I were planning on putting something on youtube, maybe an advertisement may help?

Just brilliant, Kyuubi! An advertisement on YouTube would be great. But at the same time...I think Break Free could use an addition or two before we can start seriously advertising it. You know...something really great that you can't find in any other Queen hangout. I haven't got any ideas at the moment...wait. idea What if we had a forum specifically for posting and discussing fanfiction? Queen fanfiction is one thing that's kind of hard to come by, so it would mean something if there was a plethora of it (or at least fanfic-related discussion) at Break Free. If we round up enough fanfic writers (and that's a big "if"), than chances are this guild would be well on its way to resurrection. (I'm a Queen fanfic writer, and a pretty decent one at that, for what it's worth.)

But then again, we'd need Popo or one of the mods to start a new forum, so that might not happen for a while. Man, I wish one of them would come back here. Being ordinary members, there's only so much we can do to spruce up the Guild...but try we must! biggrin

K, you're right. Hmmmm.... Well, I kinda have a story, if it helps any. My art class had to finish this story that was read to us, and my friends tell me that what I've written is good, though I'm not sure if it's counted as fanfic yet.

Something seems missing though.... I'm not sure what, it may just be the lack of replies.

Let's see it then! biggrin

Could you PM your fic to me? I'd really love to read it...I haven't had the chance to converge with a fellow writer for a while. And who knows, maybe if there really is "something missing", I could help out.

As for my contributions, I'm in the throes of creating a Queen fanfic right now...several, actually. All are of a relatively comedic nature, but there is action, adventure, and a bit of light romance mixed in as well. I'm sure that if I buckle down on it, I can get at least one done in a month's time.

My, you know how to sell things. I really want to read yours now!

About mine, it's meant for that school project, and is just beginning. I guess I'm giving a trailer, but the girl (haven't thought of a name yet sweatdrop ) finds an alien object and knows nothing about it. She fell asleep, and when she woke up, she was in the middle of a concert.

Now I'm gonna go post the Break Free banner in the music/chatterbox forum
PostPosted: Thu Apr 17, 2008 8:03 am

Oh, thanks, Kyuubi! Yeah...I try to make my stories multifaceted just enough to be interesting, but not so hulking and monstrous that anyone who reads it will be bored to tears and/or bogged down. At this point there are all these ideas bouncing around in my head, and it's a bit confusing to try and sort them all into order. I do know that there is time travel involved, and a grand conspiracy by an ever-so-slightly inept Evil Overlord Dude to make the band known as Queen change from one of the most talented and unique rock groups of all time to made-for-TV, mindless kiddie pop. Most of the story is set in 1974, before the release of Sheer Heart Attack.

Oh, and Brian falls head over heels for this visitor to England...she is at first glance a stereotypical, brainless "valley girl", but she's secretly an astrophysics nerd who has been forced to hide her intellectual side for fear of losing her "popular" status. Oh, and her name happens to be Peaches, after the line "Down in the dungeon just Peaches and me" in Now I'm Here. Then there's a plot twist sending their relationship (and, eventually encompassing the band's lives) into jeopardy. But in the end, all's well.

Queenzie--YES! You rock! blaugh We will all keep this guild alive!

Queen thread

Question, do any of you know a good place to get Queen related things? The only places I know of (wal-mart, barns and nobles, cactus records) sell only a few cd's.

Grilled Cheese: Your story seems awesome!!
Queen_Zeppelin69: Lol, the thread was interesting.. I've only seen a few posts though.

Really, I'm not sure. You could poke around eBay, I suppose, and hit Allposters.com if you wanted a poster or something. I couldn't tell you anything that you wouldn't find with a quick Google search, though.

Ah, thanks Kyuubi! *is extremely motivated to finish story now*

For some reason, in every one of my stories Brian invariably gets paired off with some chick...o_O

Hey Queenzie, what if you edited that Queen topic in the music forums to have a more explicit reference to the Break Free guild? Maybe if there was something about the Guild in the actual post, more people would see it and check it out.

I can't believe some moron came and said Freddie wasn't a good singer...seriously, that's just blasphemy. It's one thing if you think someone can sing better, but calling Freddie bad...in a freakin' QUEEN thread, for crying out loud...that's just WRONG!
