Coming to slightly, Fiora felt something wet on her cheek and on her arm. "What is that?" she wondered, then suddenly realizing that she was laying on the ground in snow she jumped up suddenly. Almost falling over immediatly, Fiora realized she had lost too much blood and needed help immediatly. Slowly mounting her worried Pegasus, she tried to find some shelter so she could get out of the wind and try to think.

Amelia let out a shuddering breath at the extreme chill of the outdoors. There was little wind, but the temperature itself seemed to have stayed to where Amelia had felt it to be while wearing wet, icy armor (that is, at least fifteen degrees lower than it truly was). She peered out across the snow, shivering slightly as she struggled to locate any beasts.
Off in the distance she could spy the frames of Mauthe Doogs bounding neatly across the snow, the grey bodies of Gargoyles slowly encroaching in the icy air. They weren't upon them yet, but close enough to become a real threat if left alone for very long.

Amelia slammed the door closed. Without a word, she ran for the armory, intent on getting a weapon and getting outside. "Keep up the spellcasting, Vicky!" Amelia shouted to Victoria as she passed the woman, not stopping for any other idle chatter.

"Yes, Master Sage," the mage responded as he ticked off another stack of magic cards. His eyes did not wander from the parchment. His hand explored the surface of a nearby shelf where he had set the bottle of ink, closing his fingers around it to adjust the bottle's location. "Do you require something?"

"Miss Victoria!" Sue held the bishop back from casting another Purge. "That pegasus is an ally, stop!"
"Another pegasus knight?" Victoria lowered her tome surprised, and then she cleared the way for Fiora and her mount to rush in. "Well..." she looked both mount and rider over carefully. "I'd better get to work with the both of you. I'll have to put off fighting a while... those who can use bolting, eclipse, or other purge users like myself... keep a lookout." the priestess told them before taking her mend staff now from the neatly arranged inventory and starting to work its magic.

". . ." Outside the house, a lone figure strode amongst the snarling creatures, unheeded. The dark cloak wrapped about his form whipped to and fro in the wind, though the hood still covered his face, hiding his identity. One Mauthe Doog noticed him, and leapt at him, snarling; however, with a quick movement he stepped aside, then placed one hand on its back. The creature yelped in surprise, then simply toppled as the magic sustaining its life was drained from it. The figure continued silently, coming into full view of the nearby house; he paused, then adjusted his direction to stride directly towards it.

Amelia ran into the armory, not addressing the mages there. She went to the rack of weapons and removed a Killer Lance, then rushed to find a jacket. She was back to the front door in minutes, wearing her down jacket over her clothes to keep warm in the snow. She glanced over at where Victoria had gone to heal a newcomer, then went outside, closing the door.
Amelia let out a long breath, watching it condense, and gripped her lance tightly. She watched the horizon, hoping the monsters would change course and leave the house alone. As she stood guard, she saw a strange figure. With a cloak covering most of its form, she was unable to determined who -- or what -- it was. She squinted and frowned, trying to figure out if she was imagining things, or if maybe some monster had gotten a blanket snagged on its head and now was obscured beyond recognition.

"Ah, Soren! There's trouble outside, but the others are handling it." Sue came running. "What is it you need the rest of us for?"Victoria talked to Fiora while healing her. "Well, you were in trouble, weren't you? It's my duty as a servant of Elmine to help those in need... also, because I just can't watch someone die right in front of me."

Bramimond nodded to Victoria, glad that he at least raised her morale.
He also nodded to Renault. "I understand why you would hide that tome; it is indeed powerful. However, if it is needed, perhaps some way to retrieve it could be devised? I believe we should be alright without it, though."

Bramimond took watch at the window while Victoria attended to the wounded. He drew his Shine tome, and waited for someone to approach. It's range may be much smaller than that of the Purge tome, but perhaps his magical strength could make up for that. He saw a Mauthe Doog running towards the window at breakneck speeds, and with a few eldritch words, the monster was utterly destroyed.

"Perhaps we should spread outside? It could give us all an easier time to fight these monsters.

+It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Toys in every store.
`But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be.
 +On your own front door.
「 "You, Soren, I'll need to help me deal with whatever is in that room...If it's nothing, I'll apologize for bothering you, and send you back to this task. However, you are just as quick to adapt as myself, as we are the same. We'll need our wits about us if there is some kind of ancient magic protecting the contents of the room..." 」
「 Turning to the nomad, "Sue, there is a hefty door that hasn't been budged in an unknown amount of time. Do you think you could open it?" 」
¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start.
`And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing.
 ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

The figure paused for a moment, eyes scanning across the snow. There were monsters here, monsters further away, monsters at the house. But he himself was not afraid. They posed no threat to him, unless they surprised him. He continued to walk forward, pace calm and measured. If he was noticed before he reached the house. . . well, he did not know if it would be good or bad.

"Oh, thank you very much then ma'am. I don't remember anything much, besides the fact that I was looking for my sister Fiora and was shot down by something." Trying to remember, Fiora recalls something small, "I think I saw a brief flash of robes, but I can't be sure.. i'm sorry." Overhearing Bramimond, Fiora spoke up "If you would like, Snow and I could do an ariel attack, but it might not be for some time yet. And spreading outside might be a good idea, but it would leave holes. That's only my opinion though, take it as you will."
