"Impressive." Maniak said, looking at the handle he held in his hand.
He counted up four fingers as he raised his other arm to view. Then, he pointed with only his index finger at the handle. The crossbones around the skull suddenly removed themselves, and floated in the air in front of Maniak for a spilt second, before suddenly flying at Daven.
"But ineffective... Exponer." Maniak said, waving a hand over his former weapon, and the skin under his full-mask darkened, as the weapon's blade reappeared. Maniak's release was different than any other Espada, and instead of transforming, his form stays the same, due to his unusual spirit-pact with his zanpakuto.
Instead, the weapon now appeared to be thicker, and made of solid white, suggesting hierro. Maniak's reiatsu was more free-flowing now, and his body seemed weightless under his hierro skeleton. "llegar a los huesos garra" he said quietly.
A small black portal, resembling a garganta appeared in front of his projectiles, swallowing three of them. They reappared around the other 3 corners of Daven, as all four advanced at the speed of sonido from different angles, in a four-pronged attack as Maniak watched, ready for Daven's response.

Interesting. A four direction attack. Too bad there are six directions.Moving at his mid range shunpo, he went up. He stood on the air above the impact and watched as they all hit each each other and destroyed themselves. He left a "shell" of himself behind to make it appear that he was still there when it hit, but it was like a snake shedding his skin. He blanked his entire reiatsu to the same background of Las Noches, so he would be lost when searched for.

"Hhhmmm, do not tell me that this is what Aizen has been preparing us for this entire time..." Maniak said, waving a hand over his zanpakuto as shadowy figures resembling the bones that were just destroyed appeared on his hilt where the projectiles were before. The shadow disappeared and the bones were in place like nothing occured. Then Maniak himself faded from sight, appearing to dissolve into shadows himself.
"Well well, there we are.." Maniak spoke to himself. He was within she shadow realm, an action made possible by his zanpakuto. He released the effects he had on the Labyrinth, returning it to light as he concentrated on his own existance in this realm again. In terms, now that he was not using his shadows in the Labyrinth, in his shadow realm he can focus there and found Daven's location.
Again the hallway dimmed, and Maniak's figure appeared, as the shadow surrounding him fell like sand to the ground. He was now looking upwards at the shinigami. "Very good, I am ashamed that I had to do that publically. But you are indeed a very tricky shinigami.." Maniak's words trailed off. He opened his mouth, and began inhalingwhile still staring at Daven. The bland reiatsu feeling of Las Noches itself began to dissapate, giving off more of a signature of Daven Moto again. Maniak was gathering spirit energy from the entire room, from shinigami, arrancar, everyone. Because there were multiple fights going on with high-rankd shinigami, it was not long until Maniak had apperantly gathered enough energy, and swallowed it. "Estruendo Destructivo," Maniak explained. He then opened his mouth and regurgitated the continuous blast of combined energy at Daven, resembling that of a Double Cero. Though a separate stream came out of the back of Maniak's head. This was coming from his telltale, and when the blast seemed to have sustained critical mass, Maniak reached behind his head, and broke off the tube of reiatsu, wielding the pole in his right hand, awaiting Daven's next move.

"I didn't think a trick like that would work for very long. However, are you ready to surrender yet?" As Daven said that, he reached out his left hand and totally blocked the cero from doing any damage to him. It split like there was a wedge in front of Daven, and splashed harmlessly off the ceiling behind him. With his other hand, he drew Kidorui Genso from its sheath and landed near the Espada. He took a standard kendo stance and waited for the attack.

The moment Daven's stance was set, he was showered with embers of reiatsu as Maniak tested his stability by showering Kidorui Genso with a barrage of attacks from the left arm. He spun and twirled the reiatsu-staff in every possible angle with just one hand, trying to get a rise out of him. Obviously the shinigami was not scared of idle threats, and did not respond to the attacks. Maniak grinned and brought the staff above his head, letting it slide down his bones until he hooked the end on the inside of his elbow. Wrapping the arm around the staff, he gripped it halfway down its length, keeping his wrist angled so it would stay straight. He brought the weapon down between Daven's ears, the reiatsu pole flared as it infused with Maniak's reiatsu. He charged a cero in his arm, and let it travel through the weapon, shooting a cero slash directly at Daven before the pole even connected its blow. With his left hand, be turned the blade sideways, and made one easy slice at the Captain's face, cranking his bony wrist in a ninety degree angle.

Daven allowed the cero attack to impact him again, just to once again show this idiot that ceros didn't work. The physical attack did concern him somewhat, and even though it wasn't that threatening, he still had to respond to it. I once won a combat without ever touching my opponent, simply because he didn't ever block my basic feints. It behooves me to stop some of these that are going to hit if I do nothing. So Daven dodged back from the physical blows, moving his head out of the way of the attack. As he dodged under the blow, he swept the espada's feet out from under him.

As Maniak watched the shinigami dodge, the kitsune made movements to take Maniak's feet out from under him. With a clatter of bones connecting with eachother, Maniak begin to fall, but this time a larger shadow-portal appeared under him, allowing the Espada to disappear before actually hitting the ground. He reappeared directly behind where he was standing before he fell. This time he did not have the pole anymore, which was a shame because those tended to explode after use, and though the cero might've been ineffective, it would have made an acceptable distraction. Maniak held his zanpakuto out in front of him, and moved the tip of it in a circle, at the edge shown a red glint, that traced a glowing circle where he drew his circle with his sword. As he lowered his weapon, the circle seemed to be moving, and was in fact spinnign as red turned to black. "devorando la oscuridad" he said, as a horizontal black tornado formed, and attempted to suck Daven into the shadow realm. Chunks of Las Noches that had been blasted off the Labyrinth in presious fights began flying towards and past Daven as they were viciously sucked into the tornado of shadows.

Daven stood still. The best way to defeat a tornado is to be immovable. So he increased his reiatsu in his feet to make him stick to the ground. He went even further to make sure the stones he was standing on stuck to each other. Daven released his zanpakto and started slapping the stones passing him while multiplying the kinetic force they had in them. A tornado might be able to pull a huge stone at a few dozen miles per hour, but when Daven added his kinetics to it, it went to three or four times the speed of sound, at the espada. missiles filled the room, and Daven was able to stay where he was.

As the projectiles neared Maniak, there was a spike in his reiatsu as the now enhanced boulders flew at him. Maniak's figure faded, and the tornado dissapated, slowing the chunks of wall and Labyrinth as they passed through Maniak. He now seemed transparent, and looked like a 3 dimensional shadow.
He shook his had and pointed at Daven. "Very well, very well... Perhaps Aizen was right about you, but do not think you'll live forever Captain, everyone has their day.." The shadowy form of Maniak stood ther unmoving. His stance seemed defensive, suggesting that there was something up his sleeve; but no reiatsu change was made at all.

Daven got tired of waiting. This guy was blocking his way and Daven didn't have time to play here. He leveled a blast of his reido at whatever this thing was and just blew him to shreds. He figured that whatever was happening that the arancar wasn't actually dead, but if he could get it out of his way, then that was a mission complete. Once the body was gone, Daven moved even deeper into Las Noches.

The reido passed through Maniak's whispy figure, as the Espada chuckled and faded into the air, his echoes remaining...
"Just a shadow puppet, my dear Captain... You will see me again, I promise this." he said as Daven turned around and continued his path.
The shadows along the cracks and corners of the walls vanished confirming that the Espada had finally relenquished his presence in the Labyrinth.

Life would be much easier if he wasn't found. Although he wasn't a coward, there was the possibility that too many of these nuisance hollows could cause problems with him later. So Daven did the prudent thing, he disguised his reiatsu. He then shapeshifted into his fox form, and started skulking through the halls to get to the light where he could find his people.

He hadn't done this in many many years. Using his stealth took him back to a time when he didn't have this responsibility on him like he did. Just sneaking and skulking gave him a visceral thrill. He moved from one chamber to another, and he saw potential opponents waiting for him, but he was able to pass them by as he hid. There was one that tried to find him, and Daven moved even slower and quieter. But this hunter was good, and Daven was close to being caught. So Daven pulled another trick. He got into a place where he could strike easily and let the hunter find him. It came closer and closer, and Daven knew that it would be very "interesting" if he were caught. But since it was hard for this hunter to find Daven, he simply stayed there like he was trying to hide. And when the hunter almost literally walked into his paws, Daven struck and struck to kill. The dust blew away in the passage of Daven's shunpo away from that area.

Daven finished with his excursion in the bowels of Las Noches. He came out of a long hallway and stood on the sand with the sky above him. He sent out a tendril of feeling so find out who was around. The people that came back surprised him. More shocking was the Vizard who were in the area too. Daven shunpoed away.
