I think I've heard this one but I don't quite remember the answer. I think it was something like
He should have a blank piece in his sleeve, and therefor when he pulls out the guilty, he can have it change places with the blank.

I've read this one; he takes his slip and eats it. He then asks to see the other one that he didn't ppick. Of course it says guilty.
