Rena shivered a little bit when he looked at her like he wanted to eat her. Maybe joining this tournament wasn't such a good idea after all. As soon as she had that thought, she shook her head and looked all the more determined. She couldn't get herself down just because her opponent was probably, no, definitely stronger than her. That was the whole point of her coming here! She had to go all out against a stronger opponent so that she could get back to her prime after being unable to use her magic for so long.

OOC: aight it's about time.
"Alright Ladies Gentlemen and whatever else might be out there. It's time for the GRAND OPENING tournament to begin. We have our first two competitors set and ready will Leonard and Rena please report to the arena so we can get this all started." The announcer who has just jumped into the middle of the large slab of stone yells out while her tail flicks around and her ears bob a bit.

Leonard gave Rena the grin again, then stepped mencaingly towards her... before simply disappearing. he had teleported, and he came into existance right in the arena, stepping onto it from nothingness. he flexed his claw in anticipation, and made sure all of his panels were loose on his back. he had no intention of going easy on this child, and he could already feel his energy building. this was going to be a really bloody fight, one way or the other.

She shivered a little bit as he approached her but once he teleported away, she gave a small growl and said. "I won't let him get to me!" With that she spread her wings and made her way to the arena, where she landed softly on the opposite side of where Leonard was. She was still scared a bit but her determination to do her best was stronger than her fear of being hurt.

 The neko announcer looked to the two sides, "ALRIGHT it looks like all the excitement can finally get underway. I just need you both to simply roll a dice." (this will determine who goes first)

Leonard flicked his wrist, nearly launching the dice at Rena, having formed it with his weapon forming power. "And by the way, singular, its die."

Leonard gave Rena the same predatory grin as before... then disappeared, like the cheshire cat, the smile the last thing to go... dashing, he jumped over her, coming down behind her, landing on solidified air, using his crystallis, and with his hand almost directly behind her, built up energy, and after a minute, let it loose as a bolt of destructive lightning, from the palm of his claw.

Everything was happening so fast. First he was standing in front of her and the next she screamed as she was blasted with a bolt of lightning from behind. Being sent forward, she struggled to get onto her feet but once she was up, her body charged with magic as she said. "That was a cheap shot.." Pointing her arm towards Leonard, the earth around him began to tremble as spikes of earth rose up at him.

Leonard jumped when the ground started shaking, landing in midair on solidified air, (thanks to his crystallis, again) and he looked down at Rena. he took a step, and dropped towards the ground, turning invisible again, and reached out, to grab her by the hand and throw her, towards the edge, though not off. he didnt want to beat her just yet.

She gasped when he turned invisible and quickly charged her magic once more but before she could do anything she found herself being thrown through the air. Growling, she flapped her wings a few times before turning her hands knife edge and then slashing the air in front of her. Appearing as only a shimmer in the air to the naked eye, she was launching blades of compressed air at her previous spot. Five were launched total before she began to run evasively around the arena. She couldn't see him but she knew he had to be after her.

Leonard grinned when he got ahold of her, feeling himself copy her powers. the single touch was all he needed. stepping aside from the knives, it was clear she wasnt used to fighting, so to be nice, he turned visible. "Too bad for you, isnt it." Leonard said, deciding to turn the tables. focusing his own magic, he tried out her previous trick of bringing up spikes of earth from below, trying to get her with her own spell.

Once she felt the trembling earth she shot up into the air before the spikes could harm her. He can use earth magic too!? Well let's see him counter this! She charged up her magic more than normal and then raised her hand into the air before pointing it to Leonard palm out. The air around her shimmered a bit before blasting out at him in a visible spiral of air that threatened to trap him and deal considerable damage.
