Xavier would zero in on where the commicator is and find out that it is in the possession of a young girl in a pink and purple costume who just parked a truck. The Professor sees through her surface thoughts, and she's right beside Doc Oct. The girl is marshalling her fear.

"I haven't pinpointed Rogue yet but a girl, who seems to be a captive of Doc Oct. She has Rogue's communicator." Xavier continued looking for Rogue as he spoke. "Things are not looking good for these cities right now."
Crystal sighed. "Darn my luck... and my morals. I think we should go help this girl."
Kesshou looked to Des. "What do you think?"

Des had a surprised look on his face, "Doc Ock? Whoever that is... It doesn't sound good for the girl. What's the situation there?"

"Doc Oct is short for Doctor Octavius... He's a scientist that has four mechanical legs attached to a back pack... A Spiderman villain." Crystal kinda said it in a not impressed sort of way.
Kesshou rolled her eyes. "Even though a lot of his villains are kinda lame in comparison to REAL villains, they still tend to scare and intimidate civilians."

 Nightshade donned his mask and fedora, "It sounds like this needs to be taken care of -- or at least observed. Don't want to make matters worse. I'll open a portal through a shadow. Those of you who can hide and be quiet, follow me. If we have an opportunity to get the kid out of there or a shot at Doc Ock if he's treatening the girl.... You get the picture." With that, the old crimefighter formed a portal, and walked through it leaving it open for others to follow. [Exit Nightshade to Surrounding area of Gotham]

[Enter Nightshade and Hit Girl from Surrounding Area of Gotham]
A cloud of darkness appeared inside the advanced infirmary of the X-Men. The cloud dissapates, and in it's place Nightshade holding Hit Girl appears. Carefully, the doctor guides his young patient to hostipal bed, "Here you go. Easy does it."

Hit Girl gingerly sat down on the bed, sharp, mistrustful eyes still on his face. However, upon getting off of her feet for the first time in hours, she relaxed unconsciously. She wasn't really sure how she'd gotten there... Had she blacked out?

As Hit Girl got up on the hospital bed, Des removed his fedora, mask and gloves reveiling dark brown skin and short black hair. The black doctor proceeded to don latex gloves and grabbed a sedative set for a hypo-spray for the girl.
A tall attractive redhead brought in some equipment for Des, "Here you go, Doctor."
"Thank you, Miss Grey," Dr. Powell took the tray then moved to apply the sedative -- adjusting the dose for his patient.
Thr redhead responded, "Doctor, you can call me Jean."
Des chuckled and leaned toward Hit Girl, "Go ahead and remove that glove and roll up your sleeve. This will dull the pain, then we'll take a look at those ribs."

She hesitated for another beat, then seemed to come to some kind of internal decision and took off her right glove before carefully rolling up her sleeve. Her eyes flicked to the red-headed woman for a moment, then back to him.

Des applied the hypospray. Hit Girl didn't feel any p***k of the needle but did feel a little better. The good doctor took no time in use a high tech scanner which displayed the girl's injuries on the overhead screen. Des shook his head, "Puts Central City Memorial to shame..."
//E, what are all of Hit Girl's injuries... and on a slightly different note, at what point in Mindy's story did she get yanked to this world?//

((If you've seen the movie, it was right, RIGHT before she was about to get shot. She has a couple of cracked ribs, a pretty severe concussion, and various cuts and bruises.))
Hit Girl relaxed a little more, relief obvious on her face, and started loosening her purple punk-ish jacket and underlying kevlar vest.

Dr. Powell checked Hit Girl's vitals -- her heartbeat and breathing were normal, no punctures to her abdomen but he'd have to stitch the cuts on her arms and shoulders. He quickly determined that three of Mindy's ribs on her left side were cracked.
Des expertly cleaned her wounds and sewed them up. Then, he used adhesive tape to wrap up the girls' left side after having her vest removed and top moved up enough to tape the ribs to restrict movement with inhibiting breathing, "There. All done. Now you need to give yourself enough time to heal. We'll use ibuprofen in 200mg for the pain, and have you eat plenty of dairy products. But it's going to about three weeks before those heal fully."

Hit Girl nodded, then mumbled, "Thank you..." Her eyelids were drooping more than a little by that point-- now that she was actually relaxing, instead of continuing to run on pure adrenaline, everything that had happened was really starting to catch up with her.

Des turned to Jean Grey, "I think everything caught up with her, Jean. Why don't you grab some blankets for our young guest, and we'll put her in a spare room with it's own bathroom. Then, we'll talk with Professor Xavier."
Then turning back to Hit Girl, "Let's get you to your own room, shall we?"
