"Serves ya' all right. 'Fer not waken' me up. Now-" Armine had been thinking, noticing how everyone looked a little sad, disheartened. But his thought had been interrupted by Seph. He let out a little growl and yelp at the same time. He hadn't quite realized what was happening yet. But when he did, Kiros already had Seph off of him. "Bleh bleh bleh." Armine started, looking at Seph, "Should'a woke me up. Then I could'a got in formation with ya's. Wouldn't have to race through the trees just to get here." Armine chuckled a little before making a remark to Kiros, "Hey, don't worry about it sonny. These old bones can still handle themselves." Armine liked the fact that he was still respected by someone, but that's what bothered him too. He always felt funny, less like the cat he wanted to be. But Kiros seemed so uptight about it. Another thing that bothered him, high strung youngsters.

Cirrocumo flicked his tail, gazing down at Seph, Kiro and Armine below him. He could sense the older cat's slight discomfort with the fact that he was so respected. Though Cirro understood how he felt, and at the moment was a bit annoyed with the cheetah, he still respected the old hunter. He glanced at Mira, and licked her ear quickly, as if saying "Cheer up!", before crouching low, tensing his muscles, and executing a perfect leap from the tree branch, landing neatly.

Mira swatted a paw at her ear, grumbling. She lept off the branch, landing close to Armine before turning away from him. "You could've let us work." She mumbled to herself, swishing her tail.

Seph batted at Armine's ear "If you over slept thats not our fault. I was asleep myself before the hunt and I was one of the first to arrive" He said, letting his tail flick slightly again. After a moment he sighed and sat rather then stood, no point in wasting energy he could be using to hunt.

((Oh dear what a calamity... Sorry for the absence guys, I was rushed at moving for school and never had a chance to tell you. Kyground, I'm guessing you don't know what an oryx is, but a cheetah could never take it down alone ^^'. Allow me to add just a bit and make things a little more interesting...))

Brindle galloped up to the party and cast about, finding the oryx lying motionless on the ground before a pack of irritated hunters. She had chased the damned thing a long way and her tongue hung slightly from her open jaws. She had seen what Armine had done.
"That was reckless Armine, you could have been seriously hurt...If luck hadn't found you when it did..."
She trailed off giving him a scolding look. He may be her senior but she was leader, as such the responsibility of everyone's safety was hers and hers alone.
She walked past them to inspect the kill, tail still twitching irritably.
The wound Armine had inflicted on the creature's neck was still bleeding. She looked at its open eyes. Suddenly a flicker of movement made her jump. Brindle leapt but could not clear the thrashing hooves fast enough. One caught her in the ribs as the oryx tumbled to its feet and was off.
"After it!" Brindle rasped from the ground where she had fallen.

"Bored oh!" Zephre exclaimed. "Well we can't have that."
He nudged the cub lightly with a paw.
"Let's see how much you know. Then I can decide what to teach."

Kiros Altered his course so that he would not stray far from the group when Brindle arrived. He whipped around when he heard the thrashing of the Oryx and the now slightly injured brindle's orders. Kiros took off immediatly after she shouted her order, gaining on the beast slowly but surely gaining. "you will not leave this forest alive...meat." He said to himself as he continued on persuite after the animal.

Mira growled and shot Armine a dark glance before springing off after the Oryx. It was quiet a bit bigger than anything she would attempt to hunt be herself. The fact that it was injured and weaking helped her a little and having more hunters behind her helped her confidence. She srung up into a tree, continueing the chase by jumping the limbs, it made her a little slower, but she prefered to jump down on a kill rather than up.

"Boooyeeeeeeaaah!" Seph yelled mid leap. He dashed forward, not towards the fleeing beast at first, but straight for a tree trunk! Unlike his fellow hunter that had gone straight up a tree, instead he ran straight into it, forepaws hitting first and soon followed by the back. Using the motion in a practiced fashion he kicked off the tree heading straight for the Oryx.

As he chased after the beast he continued to jump off the trunk of each and every tree he came close enough to, the reason being that the secret to a snow leopards hunting style was not speed or stealth, but their ability to jump as far as 46 feet!

Taking another jump as he went, he managed to sail pass the creatures haunches during one of his jumps, digging his claws in, but not managing to get a good enough grip to stay on the beast.

Thanks to Seph's attempts at jumping to the beasts feet, the Beast stumbled slightly makeing it loose it's stride allowing for some of the pursuing hunters to gain much more ground on the pursuit. Kiros seemingly at the beasts hind haunches.
"if I could only get a lil closer." Kiros said slightly to himself as he chased after the prey at full stride.

Cirro was a tail-length behind Mira, leaping up towards the tree above him before following the oryx in the treetops. THe thick foliage made it difficult for the beast to escape, and with its limp and wound, it was slow prey. Easy prey, especially for the Pride's best hunters. The clouded leopard aimed for a tree a few fox-lengths to the right, catching onto an open branch with his claws, before dropping below to the oryx, landing on its back. Tongue lolling, the medium sized wild-cat bit down, breaking the skin and spilling blood; the great oryx slowed, enough so Kiros and Seph to catch up: The wild beast's reared its head, trying to throw the CLouded Leopard off, its great horns catching in a thick bush and trapping the beast. Cirro leapt off its back as the beast thrashed, trying to free itself.

Jasper leapt from his mother's paws, darting towards Zephre; the lion's great paw almost toppled him over but he rolled into a neat tumble, and came out standing steadily on his feet. "Aha," he grinned, tail flicking as he gazed at the blind Healer.

(( Sweet! What a hunt! *punches the air*))

"That's it! Take its legs and keep to its back!" Brindle was up in seconds and calling encouragement as she closed the distance.
"Together! Work as one!"
Pride filled her as she watched each cat's action compliment the move of another cat. This was how the hunt was supposed to be. Brindle could see the strength of the oryx ebbing, it was almost over.

Zephre listened and painted the cub's movements in his head by the sound he heard.
"Not bad," he nodded sagely. "Try this;" The lion moved again to catch the cub gently with his right paw, feinting at the last second and coming in a new direction with the left.

((I am not sure what happened to Acebirchy but I do need Raiden to come back from the scout, I shall assume the outriders have gone and are coming back.))

Raiden had been given the cliffs to scout today. He liked the cliffs, from them he could see the main pridelands and much of the surrounding area with minimal effort. The two cats assigned to the cliffs as well were both loyal to him. He could hardly contain his glee when he heard the other outriders speaking of the the rumors started about the lead huntress. They were clearly unsure of her loyalty, and who would blame them? In these uncertain times it was hard to trust...
The liger looked down over the edge of the cliff, suddenly catching an idea that floated past.
He would need to get rid of Brindle...for good. Banishment was obviously too risky. Azure had proven that. Once he had power he would bring a new sentence into the pride...He smiled cruely. Once he had power...

Kiros capitalizing on Cirro's move in on the beast lept into the air. His aim was the back of the Oryx. Unfortunately he landed a little high on the oryx diving over it's head, but not befor slashing down the bridge of it's nose. As his body fell over the beasts head, the momentum directed its head downward causeing the beast to stumbel. The oryx trampled over Kiros' body, but kiros curled up to protect himself from serious injury. Thankx to Kiros body sacrifice the Oryx was slowed almost to a stop as it stumbled to keep from falling to the ground.

Mira lept from the tree, aiming for the stumbling Oryx's back. She dug her claws in and snapped her jaw shut around the creatures neck. She scrambled to keep her hold, waving her tail to keep her balance. She growled low in her throat snarling.

Calyn had left the den, finding a small outcropping just past it where she had watched the hunt, pacing angrily. She might as well be crippled, seeing as she was useless and confined to the cave at the moment. She couldn't hunt, hadn't been able to help Brindle chase the herd down and seperate the weak oryx from the rest. Amber eyes watched the small dots at the edge of the trees, picturing it in her mind. She'd been there often enough to know what was happening, to guess what she wasn't sure of. A low growl escaped her throat, full of frustration. She jumped to the ground, ignoring how her leg throbbed at that. At least it hadn't opened. She was tackled a second later, pinned by a leopard laying on top of her.

"There's a reason you're not out there, Calyn. You'll be even more useless if you don't rest and let you leg heal. If it gets infected you might as well give up any hope of hunting again." Tami growled, streaching the truth a bit but deciding the lioness needed it. She felt the cat underneath her sigh heavily and set her head on her paws, finally submitting.

Getting the chance to do a double jump, Seph took it; spring boarding from one tree straight into another, he use the speed to get his jump at as full an extent as he needed to get at Orynx's haunches.

At first he'd begun to whiz by just as he had before, but this time he'd gotten closer. Letting his claws fully extend he dug deep into the beasts back side, letting his teeth sick into the upper part of its left leg so he wouldn't be thrown off. This wasn't Seph's usually hunting style, but he figured the beast wouldn't be able to keep up moving for long if it had three cats, reguardless of their smaller size, hanging off of it.
