I lie causing people to be manipulated as people can easily see when i'm trying to do so with kind words and favors and "would you kindly" <--- XD bioshock. but it is hard to know when i'm lying or telling the truth and most of the time i'm telling the truth lest it's aboot me.

Dart lies about himself to make himself feel better. Bu then again, its hard to know who is telling the truth on the interweb. For all I know, dart could be some 40 year old douche that lives in the basement with his mom. But eh, I don't really think so. Then there are the ******** child molesters that act like they are someone else, then BAMMM!!! The abduct you in the back of their van. BAMM!!! you've been raped and left in the middle of the woods for dead. Bleh, my rant is a little off topic now, so I think I will end it here.

eh, I prefer being overly honest, as the truth is usually way more fun than the fiction... I can be honest about just about anything online, I just keep most personal information close to the vest... and for the most part, I think people would be hard pressed to get into my head.

All that head-game stuff usually just ends up backfiring... trying to get into someone else's head almost always leaves something about yourself exposed.
In order for you to infer anything about the person you are talking with, you almost always have to draw from your own personal experience in order to fill in the blanks (which in most cases can be more telling than whatever information has been given to you by the person talking to you).

I am not a big fan of psychology, as it's just way to open to interpretation in most cases, and considering how most people go their entire lives without even fully understanding themselves, I find it hard to believe than anyone could ever assume to have such a strong understanding of others that they would try to make a living out of it.

Although, I will say that I am a big fan of Kant (Hypothetical vs. Catagorical Imperatives).

I use psychology everywhere. When someone says something disrespects me and I say something to smart for their feeble mind to comprehend, they say something like "Shut the ******** up" or "well, you're gay" <--- That one I take offense to, 1) because I'm not, and 2) because a few of my friends are, and its not a word to be used as an insult. At which point when they say that, usually I just tear into them, releasing all my observations about them, at which point they usually shut up, or say something like "well you're gay" again, at which point I usually give up trying to argue with these ******** homophobe dickheads.

But has it occured to you, that such a response is just as closeminded as the statements being made by the person you are talking to.

For example, to assume that everyone that insults you on the web is somehow feebleminded is, in and of itself, really feeble minded.
...and since there is actually no way to establish the intelligence level of the person with whom you are speaking, you are more than likely making an awful lot of assumptions when you are rattling off their shortcomings...

and, no offense man, but listing negative observations about a person in response to being insulted by them isn't actually psychology. It's actually really arrogant, and in most cases, doing so comes off as petty, at the very least.

...and regarding the whole "gay" thing... calling people 'gay' is rather standard vernacular,... and is rarely a sign of someone actually being a homophobe. I can assure you that most people aren't thinking about same-sex intercourse when refering to how "gay" whatever it is that you are saying is...
so to have such a strongly adverse reaction to such a comment would almost lead me to believe that you have limited contact with people your own age, as otherwise you and your friends would be calling each other gay all the time. I have met waaaay more homosexuals that refer to things as "gay" than homosexuals that are offended by the comment.

I use the term "gay" constantly, and I can assure you that I neither hate, nor fear homosexuals. In fact, I can assure you I do not care at all about the sexual orientation of other people, particularly on the web, as it really has no bearing on my life whatsoever.

And no offense man, but if I were a homosexual, and I saw you lecturing someone on the use of the word 'gay' when they used it to insult you... I would probably be pretty pissed at you, as you would be turning a personal quarrel into a debate about whether or not people were okay with my sexual orientation...

However, this is all just conjecture...
My main point is that the reactions you have to people, generally tell people a lot about you... and when people try to bring stuff like psychology into those reactions,... you usually end up telling people a lot more than planned, and a lot of the time you end up telling people things about yourself that you are not neccissarily comfortable with.

I meant in person. Talking to people in person, not on the god damn interweb. I defend my friends no matter what the situation, or who caused it. But if someone is making fun of my, or mt friends race or sexual orientation, I would lay them out. I just don't like people that hold prejudices, and I don't like people who don't even try to defend them selves when they are being talked smack too. But my point is, there are jerks out there who care about nothing, and are gonna get no where in life, and when I try to show them the error of their ways, thats when they insult me, my friends, or my family. And if anyone messes with my friends and or family, I reserve the right to use every kind of physical and psychological warfare on their sorry asses.

I understand your passion friend, and to a point, I agree with you.
I am merely suggesting that your methods may not be as sound as you think.

To assume that you can point out the err of others ways is actually more likely to hold you back in life then whatever shortcoming you are trying to point out in others... (everyone has shortcomings, but not everyone is enough of a jerk to point out the shortcomings of others)

If there is one thing people hate more than a biggot, it's someone that thinks they can pass judgement on others due to their own oppinion of their intelligence. (it's because it comes off as conceit)

In fact, such actions are usually considered akin to prejudice and biggotry.

A truly intelligent man picks his fights...
And rather than speaking with a closed mind himself, he tries to see the other persons perspective so that he might better persuade others. If the goal is not to persuade the other, but rather just put them down, then you are no better than the person you are fighting with... and more importantly, doing so will ensure that you do not get anywhere.

Its not a closed minded thing. Look, if someone chooses to mess with me or my friends or my family out of their own free will, I will go and deal with them. It is not intelligent of them to mess with them. Look, if you've seen through my eyes, you would understand.

Topic ended.
