Sienna Ranos
Sienna felt the odd amount of resistance in the knife but had her mind on other things at the moment and paid it little heed. Instead of going off balance from Ryugi's bull rush, she moved with it, leaning backwards as he came inwards, while retracting her right leg from the kick. As he came in just close enough she completed the motion dropping onto her back while kicking both legs upwards, sending Ryugi sailing over her head... right over to a set of caltrops placed where Sienna had been at the start of the fight.
Ryugi saw the caltrops headed his way, but prepared for them. He flew over Sienna's head and towards the little metal spikes. As he moved through the air, he spun and twisted his body to position himself so that he landed in a crouched position with his legs bent, the metal spikes digging through the bottom of his boots until they reached the metal plate below the padding inside the boot which stopped them from reaching any farther. This took a total of maybe 1 second, and as he landed, he dashed forward while Sienna was still on her back, recovering from her little kick.

He was ready this time for anything she could throw at him, literally. And as she was still recovering from her little kicking stunt, he'd have plenty of time to come up with his attack.

Sienna didn't even pause in her onslaught as she twisted and then rolled to her feet, her left hand was already dropping to her belt. The first thing that happened was that her fingers brushed a switch on the silvered belt, remotely activating the capacitor cores of the caltrops moments after Ryugi made his graceful landing. The capacitors didn't carry a huge charge, but it was enough to scramble nerve impulses and cause involuntary muscle spasms all along Ryugi's leg from the electrical shock. As well as enough to leave a small hanging stench from burnt fabric. The second thing she did as she regained her footing was palming a spherical orb from one of the many pouches at her side and then casting it at the ground right at the edge of the caltrop field exploding in a rather dramatic POP of grayish smoke which hung in a quickly expanding barrier to vision between Ryugi and Sienna.

The shocks from the caltrops didn't last very long at all, in fact, as they sent the charge across the metal plate in Ryugi's boot, a majority of the charge was directed back into the ground by the lower spines since they were grounded. While a massive majority of the shocks were indeed sent into the ground, some did manage to give Ryugi's legs a tingle. It was enough to make him shudder and he felt his muscles twitch as he continued forward, but he did his best to keep his footing, fighting the spasms as best he could.

The little smoke bomb was enough to block both of the fighter's visions in a cloud of smoke. Ryugi knew that charging into an area where your foe was lurking when you couldn't see wasn't really a good idea. On that note, he stopped and stood still as the POP resonated across the battlfield, using the sound to hide his footfalls. He then stood completely still without moving after taking a deep breath. The only sound that could be heard was the soft sound of the breeze. Ryugi focussed inward, calming himself and focussing on his hearing. His sight was useless in this situation, but his hearing was still good enough to detect the footfalls of his opponent, of the slight whizzing of a blade or other object moving through the air.

The first thing Ryugi would likely notice as he focused was that Sienna's footsteps only went for a few steps. The faded slightly as if Sienna was putting distance between her and where Ryugi was, which was indeed what she WAS doing. The second thing he would likely notice was that even with closed lids would be the burning sensation growing in his eyes, and in his throat from the olerin capsacin laced throughout the smoke. A single inhalation would make breathing difficult simply because the chemical, the primary active ingredient in pepper sprays, would quickly change regular breathing to coughing, wheezing and choking unless you were keeping the cloud of smoke a very wide berth, as Sienna was doing.

The compound of the smoke was designed specifically to spread the "pepper" effect and since olerin capsacin is more of an oily substance, it meant the "smoke" wouldn't spread nearly as far or hang nearly as long in the air as something meant for simply obscuring vision. In fact it would begin to dissipate after about 15 seconds. It WOULD however help mostly disable anyone caught in the smoke for a length of time and would still debilitate people who stayed in only for a moment.

What Sienna had done was merely step a safe distance from the cloud and wait, left side pointed where she had last seen Ryugi.

The ground crunched slightly, and there was a gentle breeze, Chris's auburn hair was blown across his forehead. He let out a soft sigh as he stepped into the cage. He wasn't aware of why he stepped into the cage, but he knew one thing, he would have to fight to get out. Meh, no matter. He was pretty established with his skills as a fighter. He paced over to the left corner as he walked in, and faced out, gripping the cage bars and tugging them, creating a soft creaking.
"Is there anyone out there!?"
creeeaaak creeaaak creeaaak
And so on and so forth until someone showed up.

CREAAAAAAAAAK

The last creak came untimed with any of Chris' shaking.

Ah dinnae think theres anyone out there. Though there is someone in here...

Trista was at the opposite end of the cage from Chris, leaning easily against the wall. She wasn't sure why she was here, but then, that wouldn't be the first time. Brushing her right hand at some invisible lint on her pant leg she idly examined her left hand's threadbare and torn glove while waiting for a response.

"Ay the noo, loohk who it be over there in the wee co'ner"
The person opposite to Chris looked older than he was, him being only 14 and all. He grinned at her as he turned around, and tensed his muscles, ready for a fight.
"I don't suppose you're here to offer me haggis? Eh lady? Or should I say lass?"
Chris folded his arms and took three paces towards her, putting him about 2 foot away from the centre of the cage, in a prime position to dodge most attacks. Rather than in the corner which would prevent him from juking any direction other than forwards. But giving him more time to react.
Another cocky grin, and then he extremely dramatically threw his arms out straight, as if he were throwing off a cape. He scraped his weaker foot, his left backwards, making it diagonal to his other, and in a better position to lead in with his right fist as well as dodge.
"Gehehehe, no worries, eh?"

Trista paused and brushed a strand of her black hair out of her face and arched a single eyebrow at Chris.

Then a couple voices inaudible to anyone not standing RIGHT next to Trista spoke
I think he's making fun of you Tris

Oh great Dex, she'd never have noticed without you

Can it both of ye. Ye seem ready to fight. But d'ye have the skills to back up ye're attitude?

Trista remained leaning against the cage wall as her eyes flicked over Chris with a quick once-over glance... one that showed she was NOT impressed.

"Pfft, the question is, are you good enough to even SEE my skills"
Chris smirked, and let his hands drop to his sides. His feet were still ready for any attack, but he sure as hell wasn't going to charge an unknown adversary. He'd learnt many a time from mistakes like that, as the large scar from his shoulder to his elbow would prove. Chris pondered whether or not to use powers, it would make things a lot more fun if she had powers too, but he wasn't about to be all cheap on his opponent. Nuh-uh no way no how.

"One question, can I simply lay you out with magic and then have my way with you?"

The corner of Trista's mouth twitched slightly as boy continued to talk

Ye're assuming ye could beat me even with the help of magic

She shifted her position against the cage wall and gave an abbreviated shrug.

Ah dinnae care what you do. Just try it and we'll see.

The sigh, this girl was being stubborn about attacking. Chris moved his left hands fingers a few times behind his back as the woman was talking. Little saplings gently burst out of the ground and wrapped around her ankles, restricting them hopefully. Chris sighed audibly and pointed poignantly at her.
"Strength of the forest, SNAKE BIND!"
As he said it, the vines would constrict her legs powerfully, and with enough strength to stop a horse from lifting its foot from the vines, although it wouldn't be amazingly difficult to remove the clump of dirt in which the vines were rooted. Most people could do it one footed, not too many could do it while both feet were restricted. Chris then began to run at her.
"Tree trunk SMASH!"
Chris would throw what seemed to be a normal punch, but the real strength of it lied in picking up the opponent with the sheer momentum and smashing them into something harder, such as the wall of the cage. Chris would be about 2 inches in front of her, and to her right, so if he moved forward a bit, they would be shoulder to shoulder and facing different directions.

Trista's eyes widened as the vines wrapped around her ankles, but then she adopted again the bored, uninterested look that she'd been holding the entire time there.

Pointing her right palm towards the ground she held the posture until the last possible moment. Just as Chris finished his charge and began to punch she moved her legs, pushing herself to the left. The vines wrapped around legs crackled and then snapped, breaking into pieces, having been frozen solid. The brittle pieces shattered as Trista easily sidestepped left while simultaneously turning clockwise to watch Chris' punch miss her and slam into the cage wall. In the next instant her right hand shot out and grasped at Chris' wrist while her left hand dove toward the back of his neck, in a move that would pull the fist to the right and off of the cage wall while simultaneously bashing Chris' face against the wall.

Chris allowed Trista to grab his hand, and then tried to spin. It was semi-successfully, except he hadn't accounted on the hand coming towards his neck. He managed to utter something, and the back of his head turned to stone as it got slammed into the wall. Several stony chunks of hair got knocked off, but he didn't take too much damage. It would feel like a head ache to him when he unstoned himself. Of course, now her hands were occupied, and that meant he could use his vines more successfully. He jerked his arm back quickly, so they were holding hands, and simultaneously called up the Snake Bind, as well as attempted to break her fingers.

Trista's right arm pulled backwards from Chris' attempted grip at him, aided in the fact that the glove on her right hand seemed to be suddenly covered in a thin, very slippery layer of ice. The next instant she was leaping backwards a fact made possible because the moment the snake bind wrapped around her legs, the vines had broken apart, in a much more spectacular style then previously as every bit of heat that had been sucked out of the first two vines to freeze them were directed back into the new vines at certain points, superheating the water at those points and essentially causing segments to explode.

Oddly enough, in addition to this, water seemed to be pooling around Tristas' feet, and the very air in her vicinity was damp. A glistening sheen of liquid could be seen flowing across her exposed skin, such as her face.
