... When you promise yourself that when you teach, you will divide up your students into the four houses and award house points.
I stole that idea from my sixth grade language arts teacher. She dis the exact same thing. x3

when you and your other Potter obsessed friends make bets on the new book (payable in fake Galleons) and call them up the moment you finish the book and say you've won.
Also when you and said friend do a victory dance when certain instances occur in book 7

When you go to every store in your town at 1:00 am (the day the last book was relesed) because your car broke down and you GOTTA read the book!

you were so upset when you didn't get you letter, you actually had to convince yourself it was lost in the post, and you still belive that 3 years later
you stand at the front of the school and actually have a duel with your friend
you plan to go que in for the 7th in fancy dress, then get grounded, so make your mum take you out at 7am to the 24 hour tesco to buy the book (there was loads of us biggrin )
you can't afford to buy a wand off ebay, so you make one out of two pens, paper and a bronw pencil instead of doing the really important essay to be handed in the next day that decided your level for the whole year :/
not that i've done any of these mind :/
oh, and when you and your friend plan to go down to london to look for platform 9 3/4 (guilty of that too sad )

I've thought of some more that have happened to me :/
when you talk about harry potter everywhere, including buses. And while on a bus discusing harry potter, people turn round and join in.
You go to see the film in the cinemas, then get 2 busses to go to the metrocenter (think mall), and trail round there looking for harry potter stuff, get upset when you realise you can't afford it, and then plan to get another 2 busses to get to the town center to trail round there looking for harry potter stuff redface
you post a bulliten on myspace mentioning the word harry potter, and get a million replies back, and start a detailed convosation with every single person
you family don't need to read the 7th, you have already told them exactly what happens
when people annoy you, you shout mudblood at them. afterall, I am pureblood aren't I?
you spend two weeks in florida, and almost faint with excitment at all the harry potter stuff in hot topic & that sweet shop.
and then you bring back berrtie botts every flavoured beans as presents for you harry potter obsessed friends
and then you eat a grass flavoured one and actually like it sweatdrop
I have loads more but its far too embarrasing admitting i've done all of them sad
