" ...." Barra picked up the giant blade in one hand, basically forgetting the things presence most of the time. It had become an extension of him, and he never forgot it or left it anywhere. It just was always nearby somehow like it had a will of its own over him. His muscles barely tensed even though it weighed upwards of twenty pounds, and he set it back down, shrugging his shoulders.
He was a horrible cook, honestly. He could play the piano though, enjoyed music. He would show Hugo sometime. He feigned playing the piano, fingers seeming too big and powerful dancing lightly over the air, the sound of each invisible key he hit sounding a song in his mind.

“Well you either play piano or you like to jog on ten legs,” Hugo reasoned good-naturedly. “Me, I’m more of a surfer - that is, I ride the waves on a board,” he clarified, uncertain if a wizard at least twenty years behind in history would be familiar with a muggle hobby, ancient roots or not. “And this is small talk, but I’m sure the only thing you care about is getting time to reconnect with Pyrate, and find your brother… Just trying to help pass the time.”

....I found information that they were in Morbus. So, I went there....
*Scowls and pushes on with it*
Rose and Hugo helped me, but I don't want anything coming to them. They only wanted to help... And they did, tremendously.

That's really the least important thing about this, Hermione...
Considering he's been wrapped up in his own life to the point he hasn't had a dinner with them or a weekend in over a month... I-..
He's besides the point.

*Chews on a loose strand of her hair, her expression thoughtful but troubled* Honestly, Pyrate, I don't know what to say. It was incredibly dangerous to go looking for them -- especially without an of age wizard with a wand -- and I ought to be furious... but Harry, Ron, and I... I'm not exactly a good role model for listening to rules and avoiding dangerous adventures... *Breathes out a sigh*
What sort of magics are involved with.. with 'Sam'? *Narrows her eyes slightly, not much of a fan of Pyrate's history of dark magic*

*Scowls, hating how shallow minded and set Hermione was when he tried to explain himself and the ritual and magic he'd been involved in before. It never ended well.*
Simple blood magics.... The three of us bound each other with it as a pact before school was over...and then I resurrected them. Because of my having to bring them back without a body...their magic twisted new forms for them to have... They're not exactly human, but they're not creatures or any sort of mindless mishap like those reports of yours say I created.

No... I wasn't able to refine the ritual enough....not willing to give them substitute bodies, either...
*Brushes his hair behind his ear, pausing for the first time that day to wipe his face, using the end of the black cloth tied around his eyes to do so*
He's just outside....waiting with Hugo.
...They can't speak, but they can understand when you speak with them... Just limited ability on how to express themselves.. He's already taken to Hugo and Rose..

It's not something I expected you to understand or...come to terms with... but I hope you will to a degree...
They were my life, Hermione... I can't take not having them again, not being there to take care of them when I've caused them so much pain already. Handicaps aside...there's happiness to be had there. I know it.
