Karite nodded as he was complimented on his progress from Yuki-sama. It was hard training, but then she always gave hard training. He believed she was the reason shima was still standing. Even though they were students still these shinobi surrounding him would be stronger than he was when he left. She breed strong shinobi, if they weren't strong enough to pass her training, then they weren't meant to be shinobi. Thinking hard on his own training giving on Yuki he remembered the day the went over the hand signs. Horse was there, it rang clearly in his mind. Placing his hands together in rapid succession he formed the dog, boar, ram, and horse quickly and seamlessly like a true genin. He felt his chakra growing inside him, burning with the fire and passion of youth. He was doing it, but he still had eight more seals to go and many jutsus to learn.

Dog, Boar, Ram, Horse, Monkey. A few of the key seals that made this lifestyle possible. The founders of ninjutsu created these seals to strengthen the chakra within a being. Karite was trying his best to learn those lessons the great shinobi before him wrote into the pages of history. Feeling his chakra growing more and more with every seal. He could feel the rush and the power that came with them. He had shyed away from ninjutsu finding it to be his weakness, but he learned quickly there were no weaknesses, just weak shinobi. He would not be a weak shinobi nor would he ever let anyone call him weak.

Karite prided himself as a thief, one of the only ones in all of Shimagakure. Unfortunately since his coming he had yet to steal anything and he had almost turned over a new leaf. Things in that department were running a little slow. As he came to the rat symbol, the symbol which gave creation to a shinobis bread and butter, their stealth techniques. He found himself stuck. As the chakra in his body which had charged so well dropped his was pissed. "Damn it!" Karite punched the floor again. He needed to get stronger but this was to hard for him. His weakness was away from the physical. He had focused on his aspect of punch and dodge not hide and summon a jutsu. Now when he needed its tactical advantage more than ever. "Yuki-sama, is there some trick to this. Its hard to control something I cant see. I can control the force of kicks cause I can see it and feel it. This I cant see, and I can barely feel it." Karite was not sure what he was doing wrong. He wasnt a jutsu master like Hana-chan.

Karite tried again going through the cycle of seals. Dog, Boar, Ram, Horse, Monkey...but the rat seal just wasn't working for him. As he searched the byways and highways of his mind he couldn't see anything wrong with the way he was forming the seal. Yet every time his chakra got stronger it died when he switched seals. Punching the ground again his hands started stinging. If it wasn't for the tape he wore on his hands he probably would have split his own blood all over Yuki-sama's floor. This training was far harder then anything that Maya had put him through. Even the scar on his face wasn't this hard to endure.

Karite focused hard as he started to sweat. He was burning up a lot of chakra. He could feel that for sure. Training with any teacher in the academy when he went through was enough to know when your chakra was low. Soon he would be at his limit and he was only halfway through his training. If he pushed himself to hard he would lose a little more than his stamina. If there was one thing he learned from Yuki it was that a Shinobi fully analyzed their situation before making a decision if they wanted to live long. As he closed his eyes he felt he was a little lower then half his normal chakra amount. If he kept wasting chakra he would need to rest. Forming the seals in order he drove on past the rat seal. His chakra peaking higher than he had ever pushed it. He was making progress now, he just had to push himself.

Karite was proud of himself so far. As he prepared to move on he felt his chakra shift. Shift as if it didn't blend with the dragon symbol. If he remembered his studies correctly the dragon was a water seal. His earth affinity wasn't that weak against it, but because he had left his jutsu to grow old and withered it was weak. This was growing rather old and tired, as soon as he took a step forward everything seemed to slip on the next go around.

“There is no trick to this darling. Everything in this world can be explained. You’re just not used to it.” the Tenmoki woman stated staring at the young Tategami. It was not surprising to the woman that he was having trouble ‘seeing’ his chakra. For the last two years. No perhaps even since he has come to the island his biggest focus has been the Tategami clan. Being drawn into the clan of users who specialize in taijutsu solely it was not such a stretch to think that his body had forgotten how to use the other fighting skills. Specifically ninjutsu and genjutsu. Adjusting her glasses and then tapping one of the lenses the Anbu teacher was considering how to explain it to the boy. “You can’t ‘see’ it because you haven’t been using ninjutsu or genjutsu for the past months now have you? Those types of fighting skills are the same as taijutsu. You need to practice them to be proficient in them. After a while your body will get corroded from not using it. So start working harder and brushing off all that rust on your ninjutsu.” Her body turned away from the tanned teen as she stared at the academy students. They were all still doing well with their training. Perhaps this could be the way to light a smaller fire in that lion heart of Karite. “These students here are very bright. If you’re not careful they just may surpass your skills.”. Yuki said no more and allowed those words to drift into the air.

Predictable. Though she had not thought Yuki would actually bothering replacing with something of considerable substance, yet she removed her foot quickly enough from the contact with the pot to complete the cartwheel to land on her feet. It landed behind her, broken onto the ground, but the crouching position proved to be a mistake for quicker than the eye could see, the older woman took a vicegrip on her arms and forced her to the ground. Yet, only a soft, sneer formed on her lips - never easily perturbed, this child was.
However, it was amusing...absolutely amusing, she thought as Yuki let her go. The lady-principal needed not to hide her dislike or use the pretense of the lesson's sake to veil such things. Respectable environment? And yet, to surprise? Why, quite such a juxtaposition of logic! As the other children began choosing partners, she simply went off aside on her own - not far from the others, but yet still, to a bystander, it would seem like an eternity of distance.
After all, who would need such thing as "partners"?
Though, before she starts with the Kawarimi...learning the seals of the zodiac probably came first in priority. She reached into her pouch and removed a singular scroll: an old scroll she found during one day, when sleeping in the Uchiha estate's library, her hand accidentally knocked the dusty document from the shelf. From the impact with the ground, the string had broken off, and the scroll unfurled... Because it had almost immediately caught her interest, she took it for herself - besides, no one else would miss an old Academy-level scroll.
But she never really got a chance to look at it.
So she took a seat on the ground and spreading out the scroll before her, she peered at the careful notations: in fact, every corner seemed to be jammed with meticulous notes, briefly making Haruka wonder how it was even humanly possible to fit that much into a single space. Of course, the writing itself was tiny...yet all the same done with the ink and quill...and after several moments of staring unproductively at the scroll, she decided it was better to look at the diagrams and then try to decipher the previous owner of that scroll's hand-writing...
Well.
She didn't have to learn all of them in one go. Since the only seal she needed for now was the Ram, she might as well start with that first. So after several moments of observation, and careful contemplation of where precisely the fingers should shift to and be held in place, with a graceful gesture of her hands, she produced a perfect copy of the Ram seal.

Karite listened as Yuki spoke to him of his training regime of the past years. He had toned his body to take pain, and he had learned to fight like no other. He had forgotten that a shinobi is a master in all arts. Only then can a shinobi be truly perfect. As Yuki added the final piece of her statement. He shifted his staff from his lap and stood to his full height. "Pardon my outburst Yuki-sama, but no one will surpass me. I will become Kage someday, I will find the strength to protect my family."
Sitting back down and closing his eyes the boy laid his staff across his lap. Slamming his hands together he speed through the hand seals almost leaving no gap of time between them. His fingers tying in and out of notes and his palms sliding and shifting until the dragon symbol. As his hands went into the dragon symbol it did not run it climbed. He had reached another level of his chakra. It was slowly coming back into his control. Knocking away the rust little by little Karite was determined to beat two people now. Tanu the one girl to disrespect everything he stood for and Shisei, the rival he viewed to be his only marker in his struggle for power.

Akiko stumbled out of the room, escorted with an arm over Akemi's shoulder. She regretted being such a burden: she could tell Akemi was anxious to get on with the exercise. In truth, she did, too. However, she just couldn't push herself much further. The trip to the kitchen was a little awkward for the both of them, though perhaps Akiko was just empathizing with her partner. She sat down at the kitchen table, which still had the food that Akiko was pushing around her plate from earlier that morning. She decided it would be best to sit and finish eating. The food was cold and probably wouldn't have lasted much longer. She worked her way through it in uneasy silence, not knowing what to say to her partner. She wished she could apologize, but she wasn't sure she could find the words. She just sat and looked away.
The meal seemed to be doing her some good. She supposed she didn't notice how hungry she was until she started to eat. This settled herself down a bit, and sitting back in the chair brought some life back into her feet. She was grateful for the chance to relax, but she knew she had to press on. She finished the scraps on her plate and brought the plate over to the sink. After scrubbing it a bit and letting it soak there to get the hardened bits off, she walked away and started walking over to the garden. If she couldn't think of anything to say, perhaps just being in a calmer place would help. "Have you seen the garden yet?" she proposed, hazarding a guess that the girl hadn't seen it yet. "It's really nice this time of year. Come on, I'll show you."

Karite continued to move on, the seal was in his mind. He had learned it near the end of his academy years, so he did not have to dig to deep to find it. As his hands moved on he felt his chakra reach a new plateau and he felt his body begin to shake. He was running dangerously close to being out of chakra and if he kept wasting chakra like this he would soon pass out. He was almost done and with this he would be one step closer to learning the earth clone technique and the Body flicker technique. Both would come in handy in the future.

He was starting to see it, he could see his chakra inside him, he could judge the amount of chakra in his body. Moving his hands on to the bird seal, this was by far one of the hardest seals to perform for the boy but he managed to pull it off beautifully. Feeling the rise in power again he was surprised he was doing so well maybe all he needed was a push from Yuki-sama. He was going to be a great ninja one day, but if he was going to accomplish his dreams he was going to have to train much harder. He had a feeling that this was going to be the only training Yuki-sama had in mind for him.

Karite moved his hands sliding his fingers out and in and moving his palms to fit the next symbol. He was beginning to breath heavy as he was running out of chakra. He was sweating more and his body was shaking. Keeping this up much longer was going to kill him. As he chakra felt like it rose again he began to feel his skin grow warmer. Much farther and he was going to be covered in his own chakra, something he never managed to do. Concentrating he was going to finish this without passing out. He had to.

Pushing himself still the Tategami lad found enough chakra in his system to continue on as the tiger seal shaped in his hands. Feeling the chakra's range extended over his body he felt tired and sleepy. If he managed to finish this he would need some physical training to wake himself up. He prayed he could continue he would be in trouble if he ran low. Maya was back and she would have something for him that's for sure. Keeping his concentration at a low level he tried his best not to push to hard but he always did, was just who he was. He had probably learned it from Maya, she was always pushing herself to hard.

Rokugi's hands touched and as he separated them a small explosion of chakra came to life. There was just a pop sound and a small cloud of smoke. Everything happened in an instant but the young boy had felt it as if he had seen it in slow motion. The chakra seemed to pull at him at such speed he at first thought he would fall apart. He felt as if he had slid across the floor. In his place there was a big vase with a crack on it and adorned with designs of no taste for a house. " I did it." His eyes closed tight as he smiled once again with his shy self. He looked towards Kolo to share his smile and try to impart his knowledge " Make sure you time right the seal and the chakra and itll work" Since he was now a bit away from Kolo he thought it would be nice to do the technique again and get back to where he was before. Standing real straight and becoming serious , Rokugi stretched his fingers to prepare himself to try and summon the chakra as he had done last time. He had to remember himself the advice he had given Kolo.
