The center stage was all set up now and several villagers had gathered in the audience. Decorative flowers adorned the stage while three shinobi head bands were on display. Each were finely polished and glowed a beautiful orange from the setting sun. The cloth behind the plates was black. Yuki didn't have a chance to ask the graduating genins what colors they truly wanted, so she went with black. Yuki walked up on the stage, awaiting for the genin to arrive.

Tanu walked up to the village center and spotted the head bands on the stage. A huge smile spread across her face as she went wide-eyed at the beautiful metal bands. The Kun 'Kumo looked like a child in a candy shop as she moved towards the stage. Standing to the side, she didn't make her way up. Dang! She was the first one there out of her squad. Shaking her head, Tanu made her grin go away as she glared up at Yuki. "I lost the boys," she said almost stubbornly as if Yuki was going to ask where the rest of her squad was. Crossing her arms in front of her chest, Tanu stood there brooding, feeling like a nitwit for being the first to arrive. She was suppose to the be the cool one to make the late entrance, not them! Kicking at the dirt and the steps to the stage, Tanu waited impatiently for the rest of her squad to arrive.

The night was cool as the sun set beyond the sea. Shin wore a light jacket as he approached the village center. There were many people around gathering up for the brief ceremony. "Excuse me," Shin said as he moved through the crowd while trying to make his way up to the stage. Before he got a little too antsy and jumped up there, he spotted Tanu standing off to the side. "Tanu!" Shin called out with a wave as he stood over the other villagers and made his way over the Kun 'Kumo. "I thought Kiba would be the first one here. I was waiting to see if my cousin came home," the Nara explained as it why he wasn't exactly on time with his female squad member. "Nothing has started, eh?" Shin asked as he put his hands in his jacket pockets and rolled onto the back of his heals.

Rather sulkily the young Raiken swordsman made his way through the crowd towards the stage. Kiba had just gone by the housing district, which he still resided in for the time being, and quickly bathed himself and gotten on fresh, unabused clothing. His hair was still a bit damp from the bath, but he looked and felt infinitely better, however, mentally he was a bit down about his poor luck earlier in the day. After he finally got to the genin stage and laid eyes on the shining genin head bands his spirits were lifted greatly. New life lept into his eyes and his usual grin returned to his face. While he gazed at the head bands he thought he heard Shin's voice and looked over to see both the Nara and Tanu standing together. "Hey!" Kiba shouted as he darted over as quickly as he could to his fellow gening squad members. "Can you believe it? We're about to actually become ninja!"

Kolo was running at full speed towards the stage. He knew he was at the right place when he saw the headbands and the stage. He saw three figures standing beside the stage, at the distance, he couldn't tell who they were. He kept running, until he noticed that one of the three figures was his cousin. He ran even faster, until he relaized he was running through rows of chairs. He didn't want to embarrass his cousin by running up to him, so he decided that he would instead take a seat, front row center.

It was an event with many people so Mikio made sure to finish his joint before entering the center. With his high finally leaving and the special gardener drifting from cloud five back to earth, the man looked around at the festivities. It was certainly a special event for the soon to be shinobi of today. It was a rite of passage and Mikio was happy to be a part of it. Although the man wasn’t too sure exactly what he’d be doing. With his vision now normal and working at one hundred percent the Rokuro noticed the lovely flowers (that he was happy to know came from his garden house), a giant stage and the shinobi headbands for the future innocence of Shima. Watching as well as participating would be a first for the alchemist. The man noticed that the crowd was growing and a few students were already there. Probably anxious to get receive their title of genin. Mikio was not looking to talk with any of the students as yet. His main mission was to find the anbu of Shima… who was in front of him. “Evening Yuki-san. You asked me to come by this evening? So how can I help with this ceremony? “ the man asked adjusting his stringed instrument on his back and scratching his forehead.

Yuki bowed towards Mikio as he approached her. She was dressed in her white kimono, which she almost always wore to festivals and ceremonies. It had been the white kimono in which she wore at the very first festival in Shimagakure. Its mint green flower patterns against the white silk made her look very ethereal. "Good evening, Mikio-san. I would just like it if you played us a tune while I promote this young students," Yuki requested, thinking that the ceremony should be a calm celebration with good music to back it up. "If you'd like to begin playing, I shall begin my speech," the woman said very professionally as she stood at the center of the stage. "Good evening, Shimagakure, Shinobi, Villagers," the woman began in order to grab everyone's attention. She waited a moment for the music to start, which would help grab the rest of the village's attention. "Tonight, on this first night of Spring, we are here to celebrate the graduation of three of our beloved students. They have studied hard here in Shimagakure, learning under wonderful mentors and creating strong bonds with one another. Not only have their skills grown, but their hearts. These three young shinobi will be venturing out in a world that some of you will never know and most of you wish to never know. Taking it upon themselves to create and continue peace while also protecting those dearest to them," Yuki spoke with her stern voice since it carried well over the crowds of people.
"Their skills have been tested and their courage has been weighed and I have found the following worthy of genin... Nara Shinobu....Raiken Kiba... Kun 'Kumo Tanu," Yuki said, turning towards the genin standing off stage and calling their names individually with a pause inbetween in order to give them time to walk up to her on stage and accept the headbands in which she held out to them. Their plates shined in the candle lights surrounding the stage, which contrasted beautifully against the black cloth. "Nara Shinobu, Raiken Kiba, Kun 'Kumo Tanu, do you three swear to stay loyal to Shimagakure and support its cause through your skills? If so, you may take these headbands and place them on your body as a symbol of your loyalty," Yuki said wish a smile as she waited for each genin to affirm that they would stay loyal by the words of their mouth and acceptance of the headbands.

"Not yet," Tanu snapped as she turned her back to the Nara in order to watch what was going on upstage. To some who were sharp observers, they would be able to tell that Tanu was more than eager for the ceremony to start. Rolling her red and green eyes when the Raiken came up to complete the group, she turned to him with an almost disgusted face. "Believe it," she said sarcastically with a bit of attitude thrown in. On the inside though, she was cheering 'Believe it!' to herself as her palms grew sweaty from the amount of anticipation charging up her nerves. A guy Tanu had never seen before in the village came up to Yuki on stage. "Who's that?" the Kun 'Kumo asked her squad mates as she pointed rudely at the strangely dressed man. Tanu hadn't spent a moment of time at the Arboretum, so it would only be natural that she didn't know who he was. Tanu didn't know if she would get her answer or not as Yuki began calling everyone's attention to the stage. She called each of their names individually and even though she had been the first to arrive, her name was called last. This fact helped keep a displeased look on her face as she walked up to accept her headband. "Yes," she answered, pledging her loyalty to Shimagakure. Her hands began to tingle as she fumbled with the headband and tied it around her forehead. She tied it as tightly as possible! Kazuma would be so jealous right now...

Mikio scratched the bottom of his chin contemplating a song that would fit the ceremony. “Uhh Yuki-san is there…” the man began to ask, but the woman already went on her stride towards the main stage and began to speak. He wanted to ask if any other students would be attending, but his voice was too meek at the time for her to hear. With a small shrug of his shoulders he decided to pull his stringed instrument from his back and plucked two chords preparing to get ready. As his tuning continued a little girl with lime green hair woven back into a ponytail pointed at him with a question of his person. The joint maker gave a small chuckle and was happy that this meeting did not go as bad as the one with the Hyuuga girl. “I’m just your everyday laid back, music loving, gardening, alchemist. I’ll be the one playing for your ceremony tonight.” Rokuro stated, keeping his grin towards the children. There were three so far. Aside from the grass hair girl there was a boy who stood his height. One could only tell he was still young because his body still looked like it was going through puberty. The other boy was in the same position only being shy an inch of the previous. He also seemed to have a lightning tattoo under each eye. As the three went to be awarded their trophies Mikio knew just the perfect song for this. His fingers began to glide across his instrument. Yep. The occasion fit for this song.

Kolo cheered loudly whenever he heard his cousins name. He even stood to give a standing ovation. He couldn't wait until Shin put his headband on like the girl he didn't know. He clapped for her, but kept his eyes on his cousin. As he was looking at his cousin, the feeling in his stomach reminded hijm of when he was around Akemi. His heart sank a little. He wished she would have come with him. He sat down and brooded a little his eyes turned down, and his lower lip sank a little. He looked pathetic. He didn't want to be around such happiness if he couldn't be happy. But what made him happy, seemed to make Akemi upset. He stood, and walked to the edge of the ceremony. He was still going to wait for his cousin, but he didn't want to finish the ceremony.

Finally! Kiba had dreamed of this moment for ages and now he would finally become a true ninja and recieve his head band. Tanu's words could hardly alter his incredible mood now. With as much dignity and self control as he could muster with all of the excitement coursing through every fiber of his being he walked up onto the stage to get his headband. As Yuki handed the young Raiken his head band it felt like it took years for it to get to the dark eyed Raiken's hands. When the head band finally came into Kiba's possesion his customary grin planted itself upon his face. "Thank you Yuki-sensei!" he said with a short bow to the woman who had just promoted him. Before he had quite finished the bow, however, he had already started enthusiastically tying the Shimagakure symbol around his forehead. "Finally!" he said quietly to himself "I'm a ninja!"

Shin smiled and forced himself to put his hands in his pockets as he tried to contain his excitement. At first, the Nara didn't spot his cousin in the crowd, because he was so focused on recieving one of those head bands. As a tall man walked past them with some type of instrument, Shin nodded towards him. "Thank you," Shin said as the alchemist began playing his tune. Walking up when his name was called, Shin accepted his ninja plate with sweaty hands. Just like his other two squad members, Shin wrapped the symbol of eternity around his forehead. "We're ninja!" the Nara exclaimed with his friend as he wrapped his arm around Kiba's shoulder and pumped a fist into the air. Turning to Tenmoki Yuki, he bowed once again to pay his respects to a teacher that had helped him through the acdemy. "Thank you, Sensei," Shin added in with Kiba and then continued to celebrate. As he did, the Nara spotted his cousin. "Kolo!" the dusty haired boy called out waving his arm in the air. He was happy that someone from his clan had been able to see this great day. He couldn't wait to write home to his mother and father about this! As the crowd cheered, Shin continued to bow and give thanks for their cheers.

"Congratulations, Kiba, Shin and Tanu," Yuki said as the roars of cheering continued from the people of Shimagakure. She also bowed towards Mikio for his added tune which helped make this graduation even more memorable and lively. "Let's all enjoy the night, dine and celebrate!" the woman said with a big smile on her face as she allowed for the new genin to step down and speak to their clans, friends and family to smile and laugh together. "Make sure to great your squad leader on the shores of Shimagakure tomorrow morning," Yuki added in before the genin went running off to everyone. Stepping down from the stage, Yuki knew she had paperwork to do. With everyone celebrating so freely, there was no need for a hostess tonight. "Enjoy your celebration," Yuki said as she stepped down from the stage and began her walk home. She needed to check up on Ayumi and Akiko.

Putting her hands on her hips, Tanu couldn't hold back the large grin on her face as Kiba and Shin celebrated their entrance into genin-hood. "Its no big deal," Tanu tried to say, but the large grin on her face couldn't fool anyone that she wasn't excited about this day. Shin called out to someone in the crowd and Tanu figured he was going to go chat with his cousin he had been talking about today. So, Tanu turned towards Kiba with her hands still on her hips. "Don't you have some kind of Raiken ceremony tonight?" Tanu asked the Raiken only to hope to be invited along. Tanu really didn't have anyone here in Shimagakure to celebrate with. Hanabira was training, Shin would be with his cousin and then the Kun 'Kumo's were off somewhere in the mainland. Tanu didn't feel like going home early, because she didn't want to spend such a great day alone in her apartment.

The day leading up to this point had been a little rough, but it had all paid off! And yet, as awesome as it was to the young Raiken to become a ninja there was still more to come. Though the genin ceremony was over the Raiken Staff Ceremony was next. Kiba could not wait to get his very own sign of Raiken maturity in the form of the Raiken staff. He would carry it with him very proudly tomorrow, his first day on the job as a proffessional ninja! Before Kiba turned to go to this meeting he heard Tanu make a remark about the ceremony. It seemed to the dark eyed genin that there was almost a tone of loneliness to it. "Yeah" he responded cheerily "Me and Serena get our staves tonight!" he paused a moment before looking off to his left and adding "So, uh, would you like to come? I mean, only if you want to. I mean, uh, I want you to come, but I don't want to force you to come and uh..." he sort of stammered into a silence and, though it was kind of hard to tell with the lightning bolts painted under the Raiken's eyes, he blushed a bit out of embarrassment at his own ineloquence of speech. "Anyway, if you want to come it's at the new Raiken Mansion. I'll take you there. It's already sort of dark, so stick close to me."
[Assuming Tanu comes Kiba exits when she does.]
