Still these bonds were troublesome. Especially if the snake was forced to team up with two other people. Shisei would have to find a way around that. There was only one bond he could make in such a situation. Those would have to become his pawns. Like a game of chess, he’d have to learn their abilities and then begin to use whoever like cannon fodder. Depending on the group would depend on Shisei’s use of them. The dread hair was sure he could get anyone to become a puppet without their knowledge. One of those reasons would be the bond the other two made. The snake had already analyzed to a certain a degree a flaw in such things as teamwork, but that would remain his secret for now. A king could always use troops, but there was no reason to get personal with them. It was a mere thought at the moment. The Orochi loner would rather his solitude, but there was always that option in the worst case scenario. Shisei would adapt if need be.

Certain people would be easier to control than others, but the child would not dwell on that at the moment. The only thing he knew for sure was that he didn’t want any slackers. Like the vagabond. Was she ever going to attack or did the girl get fed up and decided upon her training instead? Maybe her plot was to not train him so he’d have to face whatever rude sempai had in store for him. The snake gave a little shrug from the floor. If it was taking this long to learn one jutsu then how long would it take for him to learn and create his unique techniques? Exactly how many jutsu did he need to learn to graduate from the academy? It was becoming tiresome finding teachers who desired not to teach. The serpent boy was barely in the middle of one technique while Orika had already learned one and was halfway through the second. The snake child would continue to think of that situation as ‘tragic irony’. A girl who did not have an ounce of care in the world for jutsu was already ahead of him in jutsu. Shisei, the one who would be the absolute strongest and master of all jutsu, still did not even know one. It’s as if the fates just wanted to mock him. Or maybe Ero-sensei just liked breaking dreams and has people do what they didn’t desire? With a sigh Shisei watched as another puffy cloud, in the sky languidly strolled by.

Karite was not at all surprised that Kore managed to dodge that last throw. He took far to long trying to get enough muscle behind it. He would have to learn to put enough force behind while still being quicker than the eyes of his target. As he looked at Kore he didn't to happy with that last throw. Karite wasn't either but the cub took it almost as an insult that he tried the same trick twice. Karite was a tricky kid and that was no understatement. Yet trying out his dirtier tricks on the cub would make him feel bad. Karite was running out of moves now. All he really had left was throwing. He would have to think on his next trick but to keep the cub occupied for the time being the boy would simply throw the rock until a better idea came to him. "Sorry Kore, didn't think you would catch on so quickly. Here try this one on for size." Karite leaned back like he did before and threw the rock as hard as he cold letting it curve a little. The cub had seen this one before many times and probably could see it coming a mile away.

Kore was sure Karite was going to try some weird trick again to throw off his eyes, but when he didnt the cub was a little shocked with the boy. He was full of surprises and it was beginning to frustrate the cub. This throw was just like all the others just as simple and plain as before. The cub had no trouble seeing this one coming and side stepped out of the way. That wasn't even a challenge. Was the boy going soft on him or was that really all he had left in him? He did seem a little sluggish today, did his prior training have anything to do with why he was off? He had been in the academy and the forest of sorrows doing who knows what. A number of things could be causing him toi be so off his game today. What was it?

Karite was not surprised when Kore side stepped his last throw. "Kore your a pretty quick devil there buddy. I am down to my last rock. So looks like you won this round but lets see if you can dodge this one." Karite threw his last rock not at Kore but into the air. Lowering his body slowly to the ground Karite jumped up and kicked the rock in Kore's direction. Karite landed and was surprised he managed to pull that off. As he stood up he smiled and folded his arms. Kore would make a great partner for their future struggles. Among that he would make an even better friend. Where ever that meant they were going. Karite was beginning to wonder where his future lied here. Looking towards the sky he wondered what he was going to do in the future if he even lived that long.

Kore was not ready for what Karite had next. The last throw was always flashy with the boy and something new every time. This was something unimaginable to the cub. As the rock flew into the air it came down with a force unseen until Karite moved it into his favor. As if he controlled time and space in that little moment. Yet even with that extra oomph in its trajectory it was not enough to do any harm to the cub. Kore sucked in his body into a ball like form and laid into the snow to let the rock simply soar over his head. As Kore smiled the game was his again. Karite was getting better though. They were many close calls that not even he would have seen coming if he had the eyesight of a human. They boy was growing in a impressive manner.

Not only the academy jutsu, but he would have to worry about his future techniques too. The youth would master all techniques, but the order that he learned them was also pivotal in his success. Some would be more necessary than others. Others might be too situational to be used on a normal basis. Shisei would also need to strategize on the moves he decided to learn first. The boy had already decided on a variety of jutsu would be better than just a singular type or style. His mind had remembered five unique types that would be under his control one day. One from each type would suffice as a starting point. From there he could branch and learn the rest of them.

The first was taijutsu. The snake did not know much about these techniques other than they were physical attacks of the body. His mother had taught him some of her style. At the moment it was the kid’s best arsenal of attack. It was a form he enjoyed too, although his face may never show it. A style that used much kicks and fist techniques that resembled closer to an animal’s claw. There were also the joint locks, whipping of the wrist sand straight edge attacks to soft areas on the opponent’s body. For defensive measures, much of it was evasion rather than blocks. Using the feet to twirl and spin away from disaster while keeping momentum to counterattack with whip like movements. It was not the most powerful of styles, but the irreparable damage it could cause was fitting for Shisei.

Next was the most known to child of snakes and synonymous to ninja. Ninjutsu. The serpent youth remembered that his mother was a practitioner of these arts. She never did really show Shisei or Shiu any of her techniques. Just a few skills that were easily forgotten by the dread hair’s brain. Perhaps some were the same academy jutsu that Shisei needed to learn to upgrade to the next level. He never understood why the woman didn’t impress Shiu and himself with more spectacular moves. Then again what would the Orochi mother need to prove to two children? Only once did the woman perform a technique so great that even the emotionless boy's face lit up with enjoyment. It was around that time the boy fell in love with shinobi arts.

The third was something Shisei did not know well. Ero-sensei had faintly introduced him to it through a jutsu. It was the art known as genjutsu. There was not much on this topic that Shisei knew of. Only that it had something to do with illusions. As to how versatile that one word could be, the Orochi born did not know. The dread hair was nonetheless intrigued by it. He hoped that these ‘illusions’ would prove useful. To some degree they sounded more like a magician’s tricks such as pulling a bird out of one’s hat or sawing themselves in half or something like that…

Shisei knew very little of genjutsu, but the last two types were completely foreign to the boy. Those were fuinjutsu and kinjutsu. He was not even sure if those were the correct terms. The snake desperately needed to find a library quickly to educate himself. His brain felt as if it was losing it’s luminosity in the murky, dull personalities of everyone he’s interacted with. The teachers on the island seemed to be horrible at teaching. Ms. Yuki being the perfect example for locking herself away for only Kami’s knows when. Or maybe it was because he was confined to the lion grounds with two other useless people that he could not attend. Either way the serpent wanderer would need to understand the nature of the five in order to master them.

Ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, fuinjutsu and kinjutsu. In those five arts made the most deadly of warriors. Add to that the special thing known as kekkei genkai and that would probably make the perfect warrior. Despite the fact the fact that Shisei only knew what half of those arts, and even then still had limited knowledge in the ones he did have knowledge of, the boy felt that one who wielded all six was the one who stood alone above the world. Did someone already stand in that spot? Has anyone ever stood in that spot? Would Shisei need to kill the person at the highest point or will the snake child be the first in that throne? Either way the serpent would learn them all and stand at that highest peak. A peak above the clouds. The gold eyes returned from his mind and looked into the sky. The red and violet eyes disappeared leaving a calm blue heaven above. The clouds were nice, but it was about time Shisei did something else.

Shinichi watched apathetically as the children bickered. Though he loved a good argument, the man felt that putting his opinion into the ring would drive the children apart even further. He did notice that nobody pulled out shuriken and started to slice each other into bits and pieces like they would have done only a few days ago. They were more civil and tact, so much so that Shinichi wondered how the pacified Karite got involved in the first place. He saw Karite attempt a smart, but ultimately unsuccessful throw and gave a soft chuckle as the wily Kore figured out the trick. Shinichi threw back his cloak, letting the icy wind ruffle his kimono and got up to head towards the playground. "I'll be expecting you guys," he said curtly before leaving the three to their training. As soon as his back was turned, Shinichi wrapped the cloak tightly around him and that familiar frown appeared on his stern features. It was all well and fine putting up an act for the children, to save them from any pain that he could, but it took too much effort to keep up the disguise forever. Although... it was liberating in its own manner. Shinichi sighed as he walked over the trodden snow, kicking the excess to the side.

[Exit to Playground]

Orika glared at Shisei, but resisted the urge to bash his head in. That would only prove how much more of a barbarian she was. "What do you think is more likely: You running out of chakra or me losing my club? Feh. If I lose my club, I'll pick up a stick. If you lose your chakra, you're toast. Anything your jutsu can shoot, I can throw and still knock somebody's head off. Anything power your jutsu has, my weapons can match with a well aimed strike." Orika responded to Karite's hug by squeezing him around the waist with a big grin on her face and giggled when he winked at her. When Shinichi got up to leave, Orika hopped to her own feet and chased after him. She turned around and with her eyes closed in a huge smile, asked, "You guys coming? Come on, we can train later. There won't be another time to just play. I tried kickball on the mainland and its a lot of fun, but we need tonnes of people. Let's go!"

Karite felt the nice tug to his waist as Orika pulled him in closer. It was always pleasant to feel the warm embrace of a loved one on cold days like these. Even though she was human it was something to be admired at how much energy Orika could produce in a single day. Karite said nothing as he put his hands in his pockets and smiled at Kore nudging his head towards her direction. Now was a good time to just be quiet and let the day unfold on itself. There would be time to learn the jutsu and time to train before the big event. For right now the boy was just going to enjoy his time as a boy. As short lived as it may be.

Kore noticing the group was beginning to leave looked up at Karite. The same soothing smile the boy always had was on his face. Every time he saw that smile it meant one of two things. Trouble was coming or a relaxing time was coming either way it spelt fun for the two troublemakers. As the boy walked Kore trotted at a nice brisk pace along side him following him where ever he went like a good friend should

Shisei didn’t turn away from the clouds as the girl ranted her opinion. “Idiots… they don’t know anything. They’re all a bunch of slackers….”. Because of the declaration made by ero-sensei he had no choice but to follow them. His chains that kept him from liberty. Picking up all the weights in the bag, Shisei turned away from Senritsu with a look of slight disgust on his face. With all the talk she spouted the snake youth only saw her now as another slacker. One who just wanted to lie down and do nothing. Such laziness. “The next event’s at the playground. Find it yourself…”, Shisei waited for no one. He walked with no one. He continued on his trail alone.

PostPosted: Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:57 am

(This is my exit post I suppose. I'll be posting my new profile in a few minutes after this so I can continue.)

An event at the playground? Defintely not a place she could see herself at. Senritsu didn't pay attention to where everyone else was headed as she turned on her heels to head back to the Uchiha place she went to that morning. Maybe she could crash on the couch for a while. So, she completed something that day. She met a few new people, Karite and his little buddy Kore, that snake kid Shisei, and the girl Orika along with Sukotto's little crazy girl friend. Smiling at the thought of the look she'd been given by the half-crazed teen, she wondered if the almost-woman would be willing to hurt her. Concidering the fact Senritsu had done nothing physically to her, if she was hurt, it'd be on the lion child's shoulders. Senritsu yawned, bored at the thought. At least if she was hurt, or at the worst, killed, she would have the satisfaction of knowing she wouldn't need to return back to that joke of a home she had. And the other female getting in trouble would only be a bonus.

Ambiance Theme: Never Meant to Belong

It was a disaster. Everything had gone wrong. One minute it was planning for a festival the next it was annihilation. As if Izanami’s spiteful nature had come on by and destroyed the island. She wanted to make well on her promise of killing a thousand everyday and that day was Shimagakure. It left everyone in a weird ambiance after the incident. Even the usually bright and upbeat Hyuuga Kanami was feeling dreary since the incident. No perhaps better word would be wretched.

One order she was given. ‘Protect the genin and academy students’. That was what the Kage said. Kanami would have preferred to been out on the battlefield trying to subdue the blue flamed monster Such a simple thing it should have been able to do. She managed to get the twin seven year olds out of the way and the bullying boy of that little gang. There were also some of the shinobi students too. A few close calls, but everyone managed. Yet when those three came it all changed. Somehow Kanami found herself being protected by the ones she was saving. Again the girl became a burden to someone else and caused trouble. The one thing the usually upbeat diva could not stand. It was one the reasons she was out today doing training on her own. Half the reason to try and get stronger and prevent such a tragedy from happening again. The other to just release some frustration.

She stood in front of a practice dummy made of straw. It had accumulated a number deep and light cuts from the vixen. The blue hair kunoichi was going to get better with her unique tanto. It was a perfect weapon for assassination and secrecy. A fan tanto remained concealed while in the fan. Of course it was only as good as the owner. Hence why she had to get stronger and faster. Her fingers drew the blade quickly. A vertical slash was made in an instant. It was to Kanami’s liking though. “Not deep enough…”

Quick Draw! Hands to the Air
The weapon is drawn which means its ‘hands to the air’ for a civilian! Kanami does a quick practice of quickening the speed drawing her tanto from its sheath.
