"What? How can it know Psychic?" Flannery grumbled, watching helplessly as the blue aura stretched out and engulfed her Camerupt. With relative ease, the Golduck hoisted the large Pokemon from the ground and then hurled it, causing it to crash against the far wall. Tiny bits of debris and dust were shook loose from the impact, and Camerupt took longer than Flannery liked to stand up again. It bellowed, sending out a furious stream of steam from its nostrils, its eyes more bloodshot than before.
"Shake them up with another Earthquake!" the redhead practically screeched, not wanting to see her Pokemon go down without a fight. Camerupt reared up again, slamming down on the ground with his front hooves. The shock wave was intense, however it was weaker than the first, mainly because of the Fire/Ground-type's lack of stamina.
I'd hate to be that Camerupt right now, Kasiya thought wincing at the strong Psychic attack. If she ever had to battle Althena, it wouldn't be an easy thing to do, that was for sure. Kasiya was practically on the edge of her seat though, chin resting on her palms. Come on Keegan! You can do it! she thought, looking back to Keegan to see what he'd do next.

"Bwahahaha!" Archie placed a hand on his stomach and pointed at the Charizard, "What a flimsy excuse for a Fire Pokemon! Learn now, boy, that Water-types is the way to go!" The Aqua Leader cleared his throat. "Now then...how to finish him off?" he tugged on his beard a bit as he thought then another sneer played on his lips. "Got it. Mightyena! Use Crunch on that Charizard and get that Fire-type out of my sight!"
The moment Mightyena jumped to attack, the canine found himself on the floor, out cold. It was astounding how the attack had moved so fast. But Flygon wasn't about to let anything happen to her partner. Red light faded out of her claw as she looked over her shoulder at Nitro, smiling a bit. Kilik shrugged. He didn't command for a Dragon Claw. Either way, with Mightyena out of the picture, he was free to attack that pesky Sharpedo.
"Use Giga Drain, Bahamut! Get in close to do it!" he called out, "Buy Nitro time!" Maybe, within the time that Flygon and Sharpedo were fighting tooth and nail, Nitro could do something to help his situation. Move it, Mike... Kilik thought with a grimace.
Archie recalled his fallen Mightyena and attached the ball back to his belt. It wasn't long, however, that he replaced the fallen canine with another Pokemon: this time it was a very intimidating Poliwrath. The tadpole Pokemon smashed his fists together and glared at his opponents, looking over right as Flygon crashed headlong into the Sharpedo he was going to aide.
The shark bit wildly at nothing as Bahamut sapped away at his health, feeling her own energy boost up. Since she was in such close proximity, more of the bubbles she released hit and she was able to restore more health than ever. She shrieked when Sharpedo used Bite on her hand, but it was a small price to pay.

Crenu had to admit, he was a little surprised. However he was not unprepared, he had planned for a direct attack over a move like Teleport. Night Shade wasn't particularly strong against Larvitar, but he wasn't resilient to a ghostly attack like it either. For the moment, Larvitar would have to play the field before dealing a crushing blow. Larvitar winced as the shade covered his body for a second time and ate away at him, but he would have to endure. "Larvitar, feed and disperse the storm enough that it'll cover the field on it's own for a while." Fighting away the pain using all his mental might, Larvitar cast the vortex outward, no longer was it the narrow funnel that contained only them, but it was a less concentrated sand storm that covered the battle area. It chipped away at the plant life and everything in it's grasp, but it was not quite as devastating as the direct assault that the sand drill was good for. Larvitar fell to the ground with a loud thud, shaking away the remaining shade. Crenu smiled as he looked upwards at the falling rocks that Larvitar had sent up before, it was as if time was no longer standing still for them and their rapid decent became more apparent. "Watch out for rock slides Ky, they have a way of sneaking up on ya."

"Well Luffy sure looks rested up. Lets see about making it through that mountain now." Ampersand greeted with a smile as he held out a flash light to Robin. The light was quickly snatched away by Luffy who took to clicking it on and off waving the thing around wildly. Ampersand just chuckled and shook his head at the sight. "Well at least one of you seems excited."
"Hey I am excited. Its just... I don't really like caves." Robin muttered to herself. When she was little she had gotten separated from her classmates on a field trip and ended up lost for hours inside a cave. As they got closer to this entrance into Mnt. Moon Robin couldn't help but think that maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Going off with some strange guy she didn't really know all that well. They were going to be in a big scary cave at night to. Who knew what could happen?!
Ignorant to his traveling partners nervousness Ampersand flicked on his own flashlight and with a grin stepped into the caves entrance. It was cool inside the dark cave, it was almost enough to make him want to put a jacket on but it wasn't that bad. Not watching to see if she was following him, he could see Luffy playing with the flashlight so it wasn't as if he had no idea where she was, Ampersand called back to her. " You won't have to worry about wild pokemon since I am with you, lets just keep an eye out for trainers all right?"
Stepping in behind him Robin just nodded her head and glanced around with wide eyes. She really did not like this! At least no scary cave pokemon would attack her with Ampersand nearby. Just as she thought that a loud smack was heard behind her. Screaming in surprise and jumping, on her shoulder Luffy just started to laugh, Robin quickly turned around to see what had 'attacked' her. It turned out to be a Zubat had fallen from the ceiling and onto the floor. Ampersands strange aura must have caused it to loose its grip on the ceiling. Breathing out a small sigh of relief it took her a moment to notice a stifled laughter coming from Ampersand. Wheeling around at he she puffed her cheeks out and glared at him. "Hey it's not funny! Lets just get out of here." She muttered that last part with a small shiver.
"Heh, sorry Miss Knight. All right lets get going. It should only take us about an hour or two to get out of this mountain. That is if we don't get lost." He muttered that last part to himself. He rarely got lost but he still didn't want to jinx it.

"Thanks for the warning," Ky replied quickly. "Little Guy! Teleport out of there!"
Unfortunately, it wasn't easy for Little Guy to register the command well after landing. Larvitar's previous attack had left the tiny bird a bit discombobulated, leading him to rebound harshly off of the Larvitar's rocky head once they hit the ground. The additional blast outwards from the vortex added to the confusion, sending Little Guy to roll along the grass, losing his ability to maintain his balance and direction.
Seeing this and the falling rocks above, Ky yelled again in a panic. "Little Guy, the rocks! Get outta...!" CRASH! All of the small boulders finally hit earth. After shielding his eyes a bit from the debree, Ky searched the field as best as he could through the storm. "Little Guy? Little Guy?!" he called, searching frantically. To his relief, he found the little green bird safely in the air, though Little Guy was now struggling to fly against the extended power of the Sandstorm below. Ky needed some time again to think. He had managed to get two clean attacks in, both Night Shades. With Crenu having such a dominant power over the field though, it was hard to think of new ways to attack. Without a doubt, this was Crenu giving his best, and Ky knew somehow, it was time to give his.

Please be something other than a Water type! Mike crossed his fingers as Archie went to release his next Pokemon. He could almost hear a single trumpet play mockingly as he released the Poliwrath. Oh how it hurts to dream.. He was in yet another bind. Should he stall for time with another Sunny Day or try to take down the Sharpedo, which was looking pretty tired by now. It was pouring, and that meant that Archie had the advantage. But if he were to use Sunny Day again, it would no doubt be Nitro's downfall. "I'm sorry buddy," Mike said under his breath, wishing there was an alternative to his next action. "Use Sunny Day, clear this rain out!"
It was clear to Nitro that he wasn't making it out of this battle unscathed, but he was not going to let that get him down. Everyone loses at some point, what better way than to go down fighting? With a guttural roar the Charizard commanded the sun to shine brightly once more. The rain evaporated almost instantly and the room returned to the scalding temperature it had before. The poison took its toll once again, the Flame Pokemon coughing sickly as the skin around his neck began to bubble slightly.
Nitro's display of defiance was inspiring. Mike felt the guilt of his decision begin wash away. They were a team, and if Nitro could understand the meaning of personal sacrifice, then dammit so could he! "That's the way we do it Nitro!" Mike cheered, a newfound sense of pride surged through him as a confident smile arose onto his face. "Defiant until the end!"

Archie growled as the sunlight returned to his headquarters and cursed beneath his breath. "No matter, your pathetic Charizard will fall soon enough!" he laughed heartily, then dropped his hands to his sides. "Sharpedo, use Hydro Pump point blank and get that Flygon off of you!" The shark opened his mouth and attempted an attack. Nothing came out of his mouth. Archie blinked and grumbled a bit. The heat was really getting to his Sharpedo - so much so that it dehydrated him.
Kilik punched the air triumphantly and looked over at Mike. If he can manage to attack Poliwrath without my help, I think we can gain the advantage, he blinked and turned his eyes towards the Tadpole Pokemon, the problem is managing to avoid whatever Poliwrath is going to throw out. "Okay, Bahamut!" Kilik announced, "Get rid of Sharpedo: Giga Drain!"
Once more, she opened her mouth with a squeal and unleashed more of those clear green bubbles. When the attack connected and her health restored, Flygon flew off of the knocked out shark and landed in front of her trainer. Her eyes now focused on Poliwrath. Archie swore loudly and recalled his Sharpedo. "You kids...!" he growled, clutching another ball in his hand so tightly that it could shatter, "are starting to annoy me! Let's see you stop this!" The light faded and out came a purple Pokemon, with very serious eyes. A frown was etched into the bat's face. The Crobat fluttered about, it's wings flapping at almost a blinding speed.
"Poliwrath, attack!" Archie roared, "Dynamicpunch!" The Leader really didn't care who was being attacked, so long as something was knocked out. Poliwrath locked eyes with Nitro and began running at him with a pulled back fist that began glowing brightly.

Mike smiled as Archie cursed him. It felt good to know he could draw blood like that from someone so high up. However, his feelings of satisfaction were soon leveled as Nitro took a punch straight to the gut. Having taken enough damage, the Charizard growled weakly, then fell to the ground. "You did fantastic Nitro. I'll make it up to you soon, I promise." Recalling his Pokemon, Mike smiled once again. It was nice knowing he had such reliable Pokemon that he could call his friends.
"Alright Archie, let's see you try this bad boy on for size." With a flick of his wrist, the former Magma admin released his Breloom. Portabello hopped in place, taking particular note of the Crobat.
Orders Master? Portabello inquired, adopting a ready stance. He began to hop up and down, alternating between feet. His claws were raised, ready to fight. And hello to you Sir Kilik. I trust you're well.
Mike could tell that the Breloom was itching for a fight. No need to disappoint. Alright P.B., that Poliwrath took out Nitro, I want you to pay him back for it. Giga Drain it. He felt much more secure with a Grass Pokemon out in battle, it would be nice only having to worry about one Pokemon on the field rather than both of them.
With a simple nod, the Pokemon charged forward, quickly glancing at the Crobat. He didn't feel comfortable with it just hovering there. Hopefully Sir Kilik can provide me with suitable cover. Upon closing in on the Poliwrath, Portabello clapped his hands together, surrounding the Tadpole Pokemon in a light green glow. Soon a multitude of opaque green orbs began to shoot out from the Poliwrath and towards Portabello. Even though he didn't have any damage on him, the attack always felt refreshing.

Kilik laughed to himself and looked at Portabello. Well, I'll cover you as best I can. This heat is nearly unbearable. Although, the upside to the heat was that his hair was dry. It popped back into it's normal style almost magically. I'll distract Crobat as best I can. I know Flying moves are particularly nasty to you. "Bahamut!" Kilik called, "Attack Crobat with Crunch!"
Flygon cooed loudly then looked over at Portabello. This new partner of hers seemed powerful and she enjoyed the shuffling of his feet. When the command was issued, she flew straight for Crobat with her fangs bared.
"I don't think so, boys!" Archie chortled, "Crobat, dodge it and attack that Breloom with Aerial Ace!" His arms tensed slightly. He turned to look at his Poliwrath, who was being drained of his energy. The attack must have been a critical hit - the Tadpole Pokemon fell on one knee and began to huff quietly. Crobat, on the other hand, nimbly avoided the oncoming Flygon and went flying straight for Portabello with glowing wings.
Kilik gasped. So much for covering him! he thought angrily. Bahamut was too far away and the Crobat was much too fast for her to catch up. Gritting his teeth, Kilik growled quietly. This was going to hurt.

This was exactly the reason the Breloom felt uneasy about the Crobat. Portabello was a nimble Pokemon, but against a Pokemon of that speed he stood next to no chance out outrunning the attack. He braced himself and closed his eyes seconds before the impact. The attack didn't push him far, but sliced a large across his entire side. Portabello grit his teeth as the initial sensation of pain wore off and exhaled heavily. He was tough, but another one of those would be the end for him.
Mike could almost feel his side sting from that move. Thankfully Portabello had a giant walking Super Potion right in front of him. Quick, get your health back with a Giga Drain on the Poliwrath. They could waste no time, any second the Crobat could swoop back for another attack.
You read my mind Master. Joked the Breloom, who turned to face the Water Pokemon. Clapping his hands together again, Portabello proceeded to drain a good amount of health from his foe. As the healing orbs struck his body, the Mushroom Pokemon smiled slightly as the cut on his side shrunk, his grass like 'fur' stitching up some of the wound. Much better. He felt recharged. Not 100%, but enough to last a bit more in battle.

Larvitar covered his head with his hands and watched as the rocks fell from the sky to the battle field he stood one. He was untouched for the most part, only falling victim to a few smaller chunks that broke apart on contact, he didn't even notice them. "Heh, I figured you'd run to the sky again. Larvitar, hit 'em with another Screech! I wanna make sure this last hit's gonna be the one to crush the little guy." Larrvitar looked upwards into the sky. The sand obscured vision, but Larvitar was able to see just fine. With a filter to block out most of the sun, Larvitar got a clear picture of Little Guy's outline and inhale a very deep breath. For the second time this match Larvitar sent his high pitched sound blast up into the heavens to pierce through the Natu's defenses.

Kilik winced when the attack connected, but was relieved as Breloom healed himself. Clenching his fist, the boy cheered as he watched Poliwrath take the fall. Now all that was left was to take care of that Crobat and they were home free. "Mike, I'm switching out," the boy said, recalling his Flygon, "I'm gonna need a ride off this heap of rock once we're outside. I'm pretty sure that Weezing can handle it from here!" With a simple toss, one of Kilik's strongest Pokemon emerged on the field. He looked around and immediately began sweating under the intense heat. But not just any sweat - poison sweat. The acid dripped onto the floor and sizzled dents into the tile.
Archie recalled his fallen Poliwrath and put the ball onto his belt. If he was going to win, he had to manage it all with Crobat alone. Those punks still had three Pokemon left between them. Battling now would be a complete waste of time. Even if he could take out Breloom, Crobat would need to contend with both a Weezing and an eventual Flygon again. Fighting would be a foolish move. "Blasted kids...!" the Aqua Leader recalled his Crobat and jumped back on top of his submarine. "This isn't the last time you'll hear from Archie!" he barked, opening the lid and jumping inside. His voice echoed now over a loud speaker.
"All Aqua members! Retreat and regroup later!" An alarm began to blare loudly as the machine submerged beneath the pool and disappeared from sight.
Kilik blinked and looked over at Mike. "Typical of an Organization, huh? Giovanni retreated when you almost beat him on Five Island," he lifted up a finger, "And he called for a retreat when Maorde nearly overpowered him," a second finger was lifted, "And now this. I was hoping for one of those 'third-times-a-charm' moments where they wouldn't run." Kilik recalled Weezing and strapped the ball back to his belt. Sending him out seemed almost redundant at this point.
"Let's get out of here. Please?"

"Ha, yeah. Typical cowardly evil leader tactics." After all was said and done, Mike finally felt the weight of the situation hit him like a stray brick to the head. He lost his balance for a moment and almost fell over. "Woah." The boy shook his head violently to snap himself out of it. "I'm all for getting out of here, I could use a Pokemon Center bed nap," A sudden unpleasant odor made itself apparent to him. "and a Pokemon Center shower."
Sasha gave a shrill cry of glee at the two boys, running over and nearly tackling them both in adoration. "My heroes!" The pink haired girl kissed them both on the cheek. "You guys are awesome." She said with a smile. "I still can't believe he evolved. I don't know how to thank you two." She was overjoyed at the Cacturne's transformation, and couldn't wait to start training him again.
"Oh please, don't bother." Mike waved his hand dismissively. "He was easy to look after, and he helped us when we needed a way in to the office." Truth be told, he wished he could have seen Prickles in action. "Well then," began the boy. "I know for certain that next teleporter takes us outside, so let's get the hell out of here." Both kids recalled their Pokemon and walked over to the final warp panel. "Ladies first."
In a flash of light, Sasha was gone. Taking her lead, Mike stepped onto the tile and vanished as well.

Keegan said nothing, smiling as his Pokemon seemed to be handling herself quite well. He did flinch a little as another Earthquake was ordered, and the Camerupt acted quite quickly, slamming the ground and causing everything to shake again. Keegan had to steady himself after the shaking stopped, hating the weak feeling in his knees from the quake. He pushed the red hair from his eyes and glared at the Camerupt, wanting to take this Pokemon down. He looked towards his Pokemon, concerned for her well-being. She had been brought to a knee, but she was standing up, her eyes narrowed into tiny slits as she glared at her opponent.
"Okay Althena, let's finish this! Use your Surf attack!" he shouted, stamping a foot on the ground. Althena grinned, bringing her hands together and then placing them on the warm ground. She shut her eyes as her red forehead gem began to glimmer. The cracks in the ground began to tremble, and soon a large wall of water shot up from the ground, making a deafening sound as it churned and sloshed, ready to crash down upon the Camerupt.

Kilik took one last look at the Aqua base before stepping onto the pad and teleporting outside beside Mike and Sasha. Unlike Mike, he didn't sweat as much: fewer layers of clothing, after all, though he could use a light shower. The black haired boy ran a cool hand over his forehead and sighed. The sun was beginning to set and the sky was a welcoming shade of orange and pink. A sigh escaped him. "Let's get to the Center," Kilik said, patting his jeans off, "I'm hungry, Mike smells, and mostly all of our Pokemon are in desperate need of healing. As for your wounds, Sasha..." the boy looked her up and down, "I don't think we'll need a doctor. Some alcohol, ointment and a few bandages oughta clear that up." Leaning over, Kilik wiped a stray bit of dry blood from her chin. He never noticed until now just how much taller he was than his friends.
"Bahamut, let's go!" He tossed the Flygon out of the ball. She emerged once more, squealing delightedly. The battle really pumped her up and, thanks to all the energy she stole from Sharpedo, it looked as if she hadn't taken a scratch. Kilik hopped on and was about to order her to fly back to the Center before pausing. Mike's Flyer, Nitro, was out of commission and he didn't know if Sasha had anything that could Fly, either. He looked at the two and motioned for Flygon to lay down on the beach. "Hop on."
