Agreed.
I really liked Star Trek, especially because they got Space Physics a lot closer to reality than any other film that I've seen, specifically Star Wars. The explosions, while prevalent and huge, were also not the giant space fireballs that are seen from other videos.

My major problem with Star Trek is the lack of variety i nthe ship design... one species will have 1 type of cruiser unless your a federation planet in which you don't even get to design.... the structures are poor and a single missle could easily cripple the whole ship.. plus th enterprise with it's 8 mighty laser cannons and 1 missle port? I would hate to fly in that screaming metal death trap.....Spock' ship was the best of the bunch with four laser guns and some high maneuverability. the Rommulans ship in my opinion looked more like some evil battle cruiser than a mining vessel... I could understand them having missles but the way the drill operated was pretty weak . dead space did it better. and thats it for ships! for a glatctic federation, you thign they would have some more I dunno war friendly ships.... incase war actually broke out....... but other than that it was a great movie I liked it a lot I use to not being able to stand it but now it's fine.

I'd have more to show you guys, but 3ds max has decided that it hates me. Again. Whenever I try to do a full render of my main walk cycle, the program has been closing outright without giving me enough time to view the error message.
