Markus chuckled a bit at Adrienne's words. "Okay, I won't make you look foolish. I'll say it's a surprise and then I'll look stupid when you see it is just a bunch of cars. How's that sound?" The words had hardly left his mouth when Madeline bagan shaking her sister, and becoming frantic about some kind of dress. "Okay, what? What dress? Who's picking? What are you talking about?" He was hopelessly lost. Well, that's girls for you.

"THE Dress, a curse from our mother." Madeline buried her head in her hands dramatically. "She seems to believe that- I don't know what she believes fashionwise- but she picks out a dress everytime we have a party. One of us has to wear It."

"That would not have anything to do with that... ensemble you were wearing at dinner, would it?" Alyekzander asked of Adrienne. If that were the case, he would personally see to it that this ritual did not take place! He half expected the thing came boxed with complimentary spiders and webs for that extra ambiance. "Very well. There is no reason we have to inform either of our parents before it is too late for them to interfere beyond footing the bill. It is not as though you planned to invite them. Did you?"

"Its TRADITION!" Madeline fretted. "We've been obligated for god knows how long to wear THE Dress that Mother Bought. It is an unbroken rule. The arrow may be swayed by begging and bribing, but the tradition must not be broken! And no, Adrienne always dresses like that."

Markus watched for a moment longer before something clicked. "Wait a minute. I mean, this will be a pool party, won't it? Why should anybody wear a dress? Won't you and your friends be wearing swim suits?"

Madeline squeaked. "Worse." She sighed. "But we only have to arrive in THE Dress... or swimsuit, its a general term... I can change out of it halfway through."

Adrienne shuddered. "Who cares if it's a pool party? Certainly not Mother. Hell no, I ain't switching. What if it's pink again?" She looked disgusted, sick, and horribly intrigued, all at the same time. "It was pink last time, and you know how Mother likes to repeat what she views as her 'better' choices. 'Sides, it's my turn right after it's yours. Ugh." Adrienne shot Alyek a mock pout. "You didn't like my dress? And here I went to all the trouble of dressing up." A sudden thought hit her; what if next time, when it was her turn, she had someone she needed to impress? "Actually, I'll switch," She told her sister quickly. "You take my turn."

"Yay!" She hugged her sister. "Thank you thank you thank you! I'll do your homework for a month!" She jumped up and down in a circle, happy as a bumblebee.

The hell if she was going to pass that up. Adrienne smiled evilly. "Oh, well, if you absolutely insist, who am I to try and convince you not to?" She said, laughing. "I'll keep my music h-double-you, though. God knows you can't play a piano, and I don't want to get in trouble just yet."

Naomi was silent as the conversation went one. Sooo, now the boys knew of their tradition.......and surprisingly didn't laugh in an evil glee like she thought.
"Oh yes, it's a definiate traditionthat comes to rear it's ugly head every time there is some special event; I had it last. It wasn't yesterday though; that was my own choosing. It was at a dinner party for....her friend's birthday. What was that woman's name again? Mary.....Maria.....M something. Gosh, that was awful.
Anywho, point is, I've got a evil red and white dress upstairs that's beyond the term of hidious. I call it the Shrinker, for my own reasons." she nodded in truth; it shunk age appearance back to 5.
As she watched the two switch turns, Naomi grinned at how well they were getting along (they always did get along; it was just nice to see in general). "That was sweet of you, Adrinenne! Well, at least you probably won't have to wear it long, since it's a pool party and all."

"Sweet?" Adrienne wrinkled her nose, managing to look hurt and repelled, all at the same time. "Sweet? Eww. Couragous, benevolent, congenial, altruistic... hell, I'd even take sisterly, but sweet? Anything would be better than that," Being described as sweet was extremely unpleasant to her. "It was calculating, is what it was."

"Alright alright, fine. We'll cut the word sweet nad use benevolent. That sounds a bit more intelligent, actually." Naomi nodded in agreement. Once in awhile it was fun to mix up words, especially with Adrinenne. She had the largest vocab out of all the sisters, so Naomi felt.....dumber compared to her. She was like a thesarus and a dictionary rolled into one human being.

Alyekzander laughs, though not very loud. It's more of a subdued chuckle after which he literally wipes his amusement from his face. Well, mostly. "What a strange lot you all are. I may have to show my face at this party just long enough to see what the fuss is all about. But fret not; I will likely vanish again before you register my presence."

"Hey, a party's a party." Adrienne held her hands up and shrugged her shoulders a little. "Why come if you're not gonna stay?" She started to say something else, but stopped. "Oh, damn, that came out wrong. I didn't mean 'don't come if you're not gonna stay'," She tried to explain. "I meant 'come and join in'. Yeah. Sorry, I tend to say things that make sense in my head, but when they come out of my mouth... not so much." The teenager grinned sheepishly.

"Your wording was fine; I was not offended. I simply do not do parties. It is nothing personal." Or rather, Alyekzander did go to parties; under duress. It was easier to follow his father to some event, play nice and sip at a drink all night than it was to make an excuse for himself. And there was always something to be learned when you were sober amongst a throng of drunken old rich men. There was nothing to gain from average teenage girls that interested him in the slightest.
They entered the garage, the next spot on Markus' tour. And there were cars, of course. Somehow he imagined it would not be of much interest to the girls. Car, car, car, motorcycle; oh, would wonders never cease? His own car was the rarely touched, Malachite Green Metallic 911 Porche GT2 with black leather interior. Well, at least with these girls he should not have to hear yet again how the Porsche was the pack mule of luxury cars. Though they would probably still laugh if he admitted he'd picked it only because he saw one in passing and loved the color. As rarely as he left his home, he barely needed a car at all, so he chose one he could enjoy looking at.
