In case anyone was wondering.
You are supposed to calculate the damage you deal. You do this by generating a random number from the minimum damage you can deal to the maximum.
There has been a little bit of confusion about this.
Here's a helpful little tidbit from the 'How To' thread in the 'Game System' sub-forum.
Damage
To deal damage in taijutsu you take 1 - 6 + your strength modifier. Then you add 2 points onto your top number for every 10 ranks in the Taijutsu skill your character has.
Example: Edward's sweep attack moved to fast for John to flip over. He caught the man's feet before he could fully leap off the ground.
Let's say Edward's strength modifier is +3 and his Taijutsu is at 15. After adding the strength modifier his damage would be 4 - 9 and then we add on 2 points for his first 10 ranks of Taijutsu, so his ending range of damage is 4 - 11. So, in this post, Edward would generate a random number from 4 to 11. Let's say he came up with a 9.
In this clever example Edward is the attacker, John receives the attack.
She clearly states that EDWARD, not John, must calculate the damage he does using a RANDOM NUMBER, not a dice roll.

However when calculateing multiple attacks wouldn't it be just as easy to use a 1d6 and then add strenght rather than gunking up the forum with four different posts?
it will still equate out to the same numbers
1-6 plus your str at both min and max
is EXACTLY THE SAME as orllind a 1d6 (whihc in real life is how you chose a random number between 1 and six and prob the same calculations are made on the computer as would be made for a random number between one and six) and then just ading str to the end of that.
Example: 1d6 + 4 str mod would equate out to the lowest possilb number being 5 and the highest being 10
randomnumber 1-6 adding the same str mod to both ends = random number from: 5-10
see same thing.

Okay, that's great for Taijutsu. But what about the bow and arrow? Its damage is 1 - 8. You're just angry because you were wrong. Don't go taking it out on me. You should probably use the system that everyone else is using.
Also, I read your post, you still calculated it wrong. You forgot about the damage boosts that your taijutsu skill gives you.

Ra-...no...<.<' she be friends with overlord...sorry but if there is a trace that there may be favoritism it wont work...er...someone that has a level head and would be able to do this @_@ level...? idk if he knows rachal and i sure as hell know he doesn't favor me XD no...he's never online XD damnnation! (no clue if thats an actual word but meh) anyway...i'm out you guys...i've stayed far far too long. 4 and a half ours just to catch up on everything in the guild....thats so much studying time i've lost crying farewell for now~ If rachel gets on ask her...

I am not saying always useing dice works i am saying in the instance that this "issue" spurred from it should be fine to use dice rather than makeing 4 diferent posts for damage thqt should be done by now.

You don't have to make four different posts. You can simply multiply the minimum damage you can do by the number of times you've hit. As well as the maximum.

@SIMB: PFFF.... that's sad if you divide it by 4. That means you get ABOUT 17.5 PM's PER guild. This is 24 for ONE Guild. xp
@Tenn: WHOOT. That is totally Taijutsu right there.
@Overlord: Sorry Overlord, but you got served. xp It doesn't matter how simple it is, it's much easier to just follow through with the system and post the 4 posts. That way, you don't get called out on it and this thing would never happen. That's why Iev **Perfect example** Posts; posts; that say nothing more than [IGNORE] with a Dice Roll/Random Number.
OR, you could simply do as Tenn suggest above me, which saves me the trouble of typing it out. *lol*

I am apo,lagizing now for if i seemed to rude with anyone, i was not mad at anybody (except for simb who i am still mad at but that is about something else)
I would have posted this after tenoskeki's second post here including the part tha ti forgot the taijutsu modifier, but i was at a bus stop and my bus came so i had to just his post and leave.
thank you for clarifying this matter.
whil i am at it i have anotehr question, we do not add taijutsu mod numbers to weapon attacks right?

Hmmm...I always did it like this.
I roll 1-6
I get 3 for example.I add 10 because of my strength and what not.
Because I hit multiple times,I multiply three by three,getting 9,and instead of adding 10 I add 30.
Get my drift?
Well thats what I did when firing multi-shurikens...

No, Taijutsu is only for hand to hand.
And you add +2 per ten levels. But only to the maximum damage, not the minimum.
