The torches were easily removed from the wall, nothing happened when you removed them. Down the stars was a straight path that led on for a bit. You can't see much in the distance because it looks like this land isn't flat. The ground is made of dirt.

Bigfoot tests the dirt (With most of his weight) in front of him to make sure its solid dirt, and not something like mud or quicksand.

The dirt was solid, it did not sink and could hold the weight Bigfoot put on it.

"ok, we know that it is solid, so lets proceed, but be cautious, never know what might happen." Ronin told the rest of the party.

(Sry was just being sure. D&D party has bad experiances with quicksand... Althought they were funny at the same time...)
Now sure it was solid, Bigfoot continues their march onward across the dirt while keeping a wary eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

(gah...this place is becoming so inactive...but I'll just continue it with how many replied)
Further down the path, you came upon a slope that led deeper into the tunnel. At the bottom of the slope looked to be some water. How deep the water was could not be determined by just looking at it.

"hmmm.... water" Ronin said as he noticed the glinting off the ripples while the light from the torches shined. "if we are to pass through this we'll have to be even more cautious. Big, throw in a rock or something."

"Kay."
Picking up a rock (or if no rock a handful of dirt) Bigfoot tosses it into the water.
(Is there anything on the other side of the water/river, or does that water run along the base of a wall?)

The river, if you look straight, runs along the base of a wall. The wall is probably about 30-50 feet away from the beginning of the water. The water does extend to the right and left, but there is no land to walk on that extends to the right and left.
The rock sinks down to the bottom of the water. It makes a big "kaplunk" when it hits the water.

"Looks to me, we'll be going for a swim..." Bigfoot says.
Kneeling down beside the river, Bigfoot slowly plunges his left hand into the river. (Testing for acid that might melt his hand, and for the str of the rivers current.)

(I'm still here. ^.^ And thanks for the reminder, Bigfoot.)
Tiggy shifted her footing as she stood near the river. Looks pretty deep... she thought, lowering her head a bit as a frown appeared on her face.

Ronin appouched the water and looked into the glimering ripples. "hmm. " he said as he unsheathed his sword and poked the water, waiting for it to jump up and eat him. His mind is a bit odd at the moment and is thinking of mystical creatures.

The metal remained unharmed and unchanged, other then it now being wet with water.
Bigfoot noticed that the water was a cool temperature when he put his hand in it. Not too hot and not too cold. There was only a very weak current that was going towards the left of the adventurers.
