Earendil chuckled as he took the three children outside again. "Yeah ... it's always better to know where they are when they have their days together, because it can be awkward sometimes to come across them when they're not expecting you."

He coughed slightly.

"Anyways. Yes, she's great for him, and I think you would enjoy talking to her."

Mikhail smiled patiently. "If you have to go off and find them, don't worry about me. We'll have plenty of time to catch up, I'm sure."

Lin giggled because she had never seen Earendil that somewhat embarassed before. She thought it was kind of funny, or cute it was hard ot tell iwth her.

"Maybe later, maybe I'll find her," Lin replied back.

"Well... I suppose it depends, as long as the children know to ask thier way back, they should be fine," Lore murmured, but he wasn't so sure and it showed.

Idhril would, but he wasn't so sure about Silvrendir, he was such a quiet little boy.

Elnara also rose from her seat then and moved to stand with Lore. "Perhaps it would be better if we did find them, then," she murmured. "Silvrendir doesn't talk much ... not at all, if he can help it. And Idhril wouldn't think to ask which way to go, she would just ask where I am and no one would know."

She turned back to her brother. "I'm glad to see you again, Mikhail," she said warmly, "and I'm sure we'll see you again very soon."

Mikhail nodded and smiled. "Dinner, after all, is only a matter of hours away."

It wasn't as if he wouldn't have any work to do, after all.

"Anyways, we're here," Earendil chuckled as they arrived at his little training area. He set the children down just before the slippery surface and knelt down next to them.

"And be careful," he warned Lin, knowing she was likely to go out onto it right away. "It's slipprier than it has ever been, Haradhel's been experimenting with the ground."

"Then at dinner," Lore replied back, "It is a pleasure to meet you."

It had been good to hear from someone like Mikhail, and it would be interesting to ask one day exactly what things he had noted in all these years.

Lin looked down at the ground, studying it for a moment. It didn't look any different, but it had been a while since she had seen it.

"What did she do to it?"

Mikhail waved and bowed his head. "Likewise," he said warmly.

Earendil shrugged and stepped out onto the smooth surface. With almost no effort at all, he started to slide.

"I have no idea what she did, but it was something to do with her magic. She changed something with the ground and used water for something, but I don't know how, what, or why." He grinned. "Come try it out!"

Elnara smiled. "Looking forward to it," she waved, and headed out into the hall with Lore.

Idhril and Silvrendir were actually enjoying themselves at the moment. They had discovered Daeron's study, and while Silvrendir was looking all around the room, Idhril was busily regaling her cousin with tales of the things they did when they were at home.

Storm stepped out onto the smooth surface cautiously and promptly fell flat on his butt. "Ow!" he exclaimed, wincing. "That hurt ..."

Lore tilted his head slightly, it was so quiet here that it wasn't hard to catch the distinct changes in sound. Or in this case the sound of one very chattry Second. Well, he didn't know it was her, only that there was a lot of talk or sound from that way.

Lin, seeing what happed to Storm tried to be more careful as she took a tenitive step onto the floor. Only to find her feet give out beneath her as she slide across it.

"It's like ice!"

Elnara followed the sound of her daughter's chattering to another study where she saw yet another elf who she didn't recognize.

Idhril continued to chatter away, oblivious to her mother's presence.

"...and me and Mama and Serenity and Celebor and Skye and Storm and Starr all went to visit Serenity's friend Reno and his grandma has a cafe just like ours. They have lots of pets, too, even more pets than we have, and we showed him how to play tag and hide and seek ..."

Starr looked at the ground tentatively and sat down where she was. "I don't think I'll try it," she said softly. "I don't want to hurt myself."

Storm pushed against the ground and started sliding on his butt across it. He giggled. "This is fun!" he laughed.

Daeron saw the movement at the doorway and broke into a wide grin. He recognized his aunt right away, and he tucked Idhril into the corner of one arm and moved swiftly to give Elnara a tight, one-armed hug.

"Nara-thel," he said warmly. "It's about time you came back!" He laughed. "Welcome home! I love your kids. So cute!"

He looked past her at the man who was behind her. "And you must be ... the children's papa," he laughed. He reached out one hand to shake. "I'm Daeron."

Earendil chuckled and slid over to Lin, taking her hands in his own and helping her to stand again.

"I don't remember anything about ice more than the name," he told her. "And that it's wet."

Lore smiled widely, from the sounds of it this was the Daeron that Elnara had mentioned, though he was awfully confused. Why was he calling Elnara sister? Or maybe it wasn't Daeron and one of her brothers.

He shook Daeron's hand, "I'm Lore, it's nice to meet you."
