Relm was awash in never before experienced sensations and feelings -feelings that played within her like paintings on her canvas. She could almost see them, and in the midst of everything knew she would paint their depiction later. They were imprinted upon the artist's eyes, though it might take a million paintings to show how her feelings moved and surged and soared.

Her small body shivered pleasantly at the touch of warm skin to the exposed skin on her waist. His hand... so warm. It felt wonderful and sent thrills and goosebumps traveling through her. She shifted slightly with a soft sigh-gasp into the kiss to permit his hand to touch her skin there a little better. This shirt was longer towards her waist than her usual one, though the pants hung only a little higher than her harem pants would. The knowledgeable girl tried to think enough in her blissful daze to not rub against Elijah where it would most likely make things decidedly awkward at this stage in their relationship while still moving closer against him. Artist's fingers shifted lightly upon his skin where Relm kept them for the most part, though they walked a little up to his neck and back down in a caress that was at the same time both curiosity and exploration.

Maybe later Relm would have the gumption (and the thought) to find out how she compared to others the musician had kissed. She could tell he knew more... but more importantly to her rising feelings now that they had been released Relm was feeling like she could feel things from him. Not things to put into words, but exactly those things she needed and wanted to "hear" from him. Especially now that she had lowered her barriers and walls to both admit to herself and to him. To show anyway. Truthfully, Relm was not sure what exactly she would admit other than she trusted Elijah indefinitely and wanted to be with him more than anyone else in the world -and that she wanted to be in his arms or holding hands whenever possible. This... this was a bonus that had not factored in to those feelings that had been simmering within her and pushed away and ignored. This though... was something of which Relm definitely wanted more. When they were alone.

Who knew how much longer the kiss lasted but it was just before Relm felt she might lose sense of her thoughts completely that she gasped softly and pulled her lips free with a breathed whimper of simply not wanting to do that but needing to.

"Dammit, 'Lijah..." Breathed almost tenderly upon his lips, it was hard to force her eyes to flutter open so she could try to see him -which for one reason or another the artist longed to do. "You're turning my brain to mush, you do realize, don't you?" Her laughter was little more than a light shaking of her body & soft puffs of breath with a tiny bit of sound upon his lips even as she placed careful and light kisses there -moving gently & barely lingering as she caught more mental and emotional breather than physical but could not bear to keep fully away. Also as if to say she was not going anywhere and that she had every intention to continue kissing him -really kissing him- soon enough. Her hand was flat upon his neck now and underneath his chin and jaw a little, still and not wanting to let go. Through it all green eyes would smile as looking up to catch his they did -for Relm was happy.

Elijah laughed gently at her words. He turned her to mush? What about him? He felt rather like mush himself. She was doing the exact same thing to him. "I could say the exact same thing to you. You're driving me crazy... But I can deal with mush..." He said while he tried to steady his breath. The dog’s breathing had grown heavier with the kissing, not that he'd ever complain about it. A soft moan came from the kiss as he felt her lips again. He returned them with his own soft kisses that he began subconsciously moving downwards towards her neck, and he would go no farther, no matter how badly he was wanting to, knowing better. His hand moved to touch the skin on her waist and he felt himself shiver. "I love it. You're like an addiction, a good one, but even better."

He took this chance to have them both lean back onto the rid with his legs hanging out. He also made it so Relm's head could rest on his chest and that she was as comfortable as possible.

Elijah knew that he would go to bed happy tonight. Ah, bed... That reminded him of something. A very annoying reminder. "You do know that it could possibly be like four in the morning right now, right? Time passes by quickly..." He said quietly as he leaned up to meld their lips together again. He was hoping she didn't care.

Driving him crazy... Relm shivered a little, liking the sound of that. Her large eaers perked to listen to how Elijah was trying to steady or calm himself, eyes nearly closing at his heavy breathing. Good thing she was a determined little thing or it would be affecting her much more than it was. It was affecting her quite enough as it was... but knowing her limit of how far she was willing to go and having the gumption to stick by it was an absolute plus as Elijah's breathing-and kisses- proceeded to further melt the first time kisser in his arms.

"An addiction, hm?" Relm murmured a bit breathlessly beneath the sweetness of those kisses and even curving her neck for him. No worries as she let Elijah lower them both to the merry-go-round's cold surface -she trusted him. He was honorable, and in his way a true gentleman. It was one of the things she lo... liked about him. "yeah... that seems to cover it. I'll take an 'Lijah addiction No EA meetings though, an' I sure as hell better never have'ta go cold turkey." Her voice slurred together a little bit, her words a soft and light rambling as she tried to touch her lips to what of his face and head she could as Elijah's kisses had moved downa little and she had no reason to hinder him just because she wanted to kiss him too.

Settling into his body comfortably Relm took a moment to shift her coat into something like a pillow and nudge it beneath Elijah's head. The dog-anthro was keeping her plenty enough warm and with one arm beneath his jacket and his strong arms around her she certainly did not need her own. Besides... it was to better use to protect and comfort his head.

"mm-huh." Relm agreed softly, closing her eyes as their lips came together once more. The sweet affection she showed in the kiss -focused as it was only on Elijah and the two of them being together- was proof paramount of just how much the seasoned adventurer did not give a hoot what time it was. But as the kiss ended some logic slipped in. "hmm... probably should call home so no one worries though... or sends anyone out after me..." Yes that would be decidedly awkward. On top of everything... well even if Elijah didn't simply have a bad reaction to their kissing make-out session being interrupted by a third party it would be more potentially stunning if that 'babysitter' were not an anthro as they were. But... "In a minute..." Relm murmured, hand caressing his cheek and lightly guiding his face to hers as she leaned forward to love his lips sweetly with her own.

"I was afraid you'd say something like that. Have they done that before?" Elijah hopped mostly everyone in Relm's home was too sound asleep to notice her elongated absence. Someone coming after and possibly seeing them like this wouldn't be the best first impression. He didn't exactly bring her home "at eleven" or whatever, but they were supposed to be out later than that anyway, right? Now that he thought about it, someone was bound to notice where he lived too. They would probably suspect something a little more than a concert happened, but they wouldn't come after him.

He adjusted his head a little so it was easier for her to put the coat under his head. Yes, that was a lot better. Taking off his own wouldn't be a bad idea either, but he didn't want to let go of her.

"I hope it's a long minute..." He murmured back and met her lips with his. If someone came he wondered how long it would take for him to notice. He could easily drown out everything else when he was like this with Relm.

His question would have to be answered later, for Relm was a bit preoccupied with wanting to taste his lips at the moment to bother with something so... mundane. The pictomancer was not really worried about being checked up on though. Her Audio Rhetoric 'sister' had told her why Rikku and her Naruto were always being 'interrupted' ... and when that had stopped: When the oblivious blonde pair had realized they were more than 'just best friends' and that was why they always wanted to kiss each other. ((yes... very interesting story. one for another day.)) Relm however quickly accepted with the touch of his lips to hers that she felt more than just 'friendship' for Elijah. Whether it was more or not... now that was another thing, and something she would likely contemplate another night. Accepting that she had feelings such as she did was quite a good step for her tonight.

Softly she moved her lips upon his, silently answering that yes... this would be a very long minute if she had anything to say about it. Which Relm hoped she did. Pleasantly she leaned into his prone form, sifting his hair through her fingers as if entranced by the feeling. Whcih would not be far off.

Hopefully, her clear lack of worry on the 'babysitters' department would ease Elijah's mind until they felt like ending the kiss so she could explain to him and call home as well.

One of Elijah's hands moved to the back of Relm's head while his other arm was resting, wrapped around her waist. He pressed his lips even more to hers as he felt her respond. He wanted to get as much out of this kiss as he could before they had to break it. He was aware he'd probably get another chance later for a kiss tonight and even tomorrow and the day after, but letting go was still hard just knowing this. To him this was heaven. How did he go on for so long without Relm? Things felt so much better with her. Being near her, being able to talk with her, hearing her laugh, being able to kiss her… everything.

When he felt the need to breathe normally finally hit its critical point, the dog anthro hesitantly broke the kiss. He took a moment to breath and stuck his tongue out to lick his lips. He could still taste her lips on his own. Elijah smiled as he looked at Relm and gave her nose a quick kiss.

Dazedly Relm woke from the kiss, her eyes slowly opening to smile at the male beside her. Words, even thoughts, raced from her halfhearted attempts to snare them as she first giggled at the kiss to her nose then sighing in a soft and happy way shifted one hand through his brown hair to caress a soft ear between her fingers. For a while she just smiled, eyes happily caught in his and at ease in their trap.

It was temptation that had her wanting to lean in again for another kiss but a flutter of memory held her back. Something she was supposed to do or say after that kiss. Remembering, Relm chuckled softly, green eyes looking into green crinkling the slightest bit. "You didn't give me chance to answer." She accused without complaint and winked.

"yeah... they've done that before but not to me." There was a story that brought her mirth here and her slender body shook softly with the pictomancer's silent laughter. "They didn't even figure they were more'n friends so someone had to intercede to make sure they didn't get too caught up before they'd even figured it out."

Her laughter faded out softly to be replaced with a soft breathlessness and a blush. her hand slid to cup Elijah's face and the thumb moved along the edge of his eye-spot tenderly. "I'm not deceiving myself that we stepped out of the box of 'just friends' tonight." Her voice was unusually soft and thoughtful. "I think... I might have been wanting this for a while now but did not want to admit it."

Her blush deepened and spread, but maybe the red glow of her ruby gem masked some of it.

Elijah chuckled softly and shut his eyes halfway as he felt her hand caressing his ear. It felt nice to have it touched. His ears could be pretty sensitive. "Hmmm... Yeah. Just thought I'd put the answer on hold for a second," He said, jokingly. He caressed the back of her head, running his fingers through her hair.

Elijah smiled at her laughter. The people Relm lived around seemed interesting from what he could gather from that she had told him so far. He wondered if Relm ever mentioned much about him sometimes. It would be interesting to know what they thought about him so far too.

"Yup, pretty much impossible to deceive now..." He said quietly as he thought about what she said. Things were really going to change between them now. "I can kind of see why you'd feel like that. I think it's harder to decide what to do when you start liking a really good friend than someone you don’t see that often. Like, you don't want to risk messing everything up when you find out they don't feel that same. Well, that's how I was feeling anyway. I... I didn't want you to hate me if I said anything at first. I kept on trying to find any hints that would tell me exactly how you felt about me. That's harder than it sounds too. And... well.. That might not have been your exact reasoning for feeling like that, but... I'm really glad what's happened has happened." He gave her another kiss, on the forehead. Something was telling him that his reasonings properly weren't the same as Relm's. "You're cute when you blush."

Relm nearly closed her eyes at the gentle caress in her hair as she listened to his quiet voice with a surprisingly easy silence. She was just about to softly respond when Elijah's seemingly offhand comment threw a monkey wrench in her thinking. So much for the glow of her ruby gem hiding it -now her cheeks heated to new flames that no one could doubt. He... thought she was cute when she blushed? It was both cute and highly embarrassing. How was it Elijah could make her feel that way so easily while making her so darn comfortable at the same time?

"I could never hate you, 'Lijah." The pictomancer said at last, her eyes returning to his after having turned away when the greater blush hit for what felt like long moments but was probably only seconds. Gently she caressed his face, tracing with fingers what her brush had painted far too many times on the excuse of 'promotional posters.' Relm wondered if anyone suspected the truth she had not permitted herself to see. "Although... it would've been awkward if one of us wanted this and the other didn't..." the sadness overwhelmed her at such a thought that Relm choked, moisture welling unasked for in her eyes. "oh 'Lijah I'm such a fool! I knew I was always happiest with you but I wouldn't let myself even think of being interested in anything past friendship." So much emotion and yet her voice remained soft, quiet, and even wavered a little bit.

"I should have seen your hints... instead of fighting so hard what I see now would have been mine..." such a small shamed whisper that if they weren't so close Elijah might never have known she spoke at all.

Elijah frowned. She seemed upset about denying things, but he wasn't angry or upset with her at all about that. It was his fault things hadn't happened sooner too, wasn't it? "Don't beat yourself up about it. Denial is a normal thing. It's stressful...Entering into a relationship I mean. Especially the first steps..." He continued to caress her hair as he looked up at the sky above them. "You're talking like it's your entire fault too. You know, I could have always done something more, maybe drop a few stronger hints here and there... Now that I think of it they could have been missed, the ones I did throw in..." He laughed a little and sighed in content. Elijah too was feeling very comfortable like this. He thought for a few moments. There had been something else he had wanted to say, but couldn't quite remember it. It was on the tip of his tongue. He closed his eyes as he thought.

"A fool... There some saying with fools and love I think. Can't remember. I wonder if it's even fitting..." He half mumbled as it was starting to come to him. He opened one eye and looked to Relm. He smiled again.

"But I'm supposed to notice such things..." Relm pouted softly, snuggling closer to Elijah for this new warmth of being held. She was being silly and she knew it. Just because she prided herself on being a most observant people watcher and picking up on things about people they thought well hidden was no reason she would be able to notice it in herself. The experiences of her own 'sisters' who had paired up long before her should have given her some clue about that. The audio had it the most difficult, being one if not the most headstrong about it & running down quite a few dead-ends. The feather tailed cat had figured out her own feelings at least honestly, but thanks to another fabrication had not been able to see if her feelings were returned. Now she....

Relm chuckled softly at herself. ""A fool in love makes no sense to me.
I only think you are a fool If you do not love."?" Quoting she asked, if maybe that was the right one while trying to recall others and laughed again. "I guess... it's harder to notice objectively what's closest..."

Tentatively she turned her lips to graze Elijah's jaw. Maybe it was because she had grown so comfortable with him as their friendship continued and grew but it felt like this was not as new as it was sometimes. Not as new as just today somehow, though at the same time it was. New enough she was still a little nervous making a move; not so new as to have stopped with a single, youthful, testing kiss.

Hell, she had never had more than a family-like peck on the head or cheek before but that surely had not deterred her from kissing Elijah back now, had it? No. Nor would anything. The carbunkle's tail flicked happily, rose, then fell to lay across their legs comfortably. Relm was happy.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 07, 2009 10:00 pm

""A fool in love makes no sense to me..."," He repeated as finally what he had been trying to come up with before clicked with what she said. "Yeah, that was it I think. I'm pretty sure that doesn't quite relate to us. Just as I thought...." There was definitely no issue of lack of love here. Perhaps they were fools before for denying they liked each other, but that was no more. If there was a quote to match this, it would have to be a bit different than that. Perhaps he could think of some lyrics later to match this. That would be a song he'd enjoy playing to with his guitar.

His eyes shut half way again as he felt her kisses to his jaw and his hand on the back of her head move so that it could pet her ears in the way she sometimes pet his. He felt himself shiver a little at the sensation of her lips on his jaw. "Relm..." He murmured quietly. How could one person make him feel so good?

Relm was wondering nearly the same thing herself. With the added wonder at the sensation of his hand upon her ears like that. Never had she felt such a thing. Her ear tilted into his hand very slightly for a better feel, then her head started to roll a bit that way as well. At least, until she realized doing so made it so she could not kiss his jaw. Nothing doing.

Softly Relm giggled, mostly at herself. "mmm while your there... press on the inside base of my right ear. I should call home." There was pleasure & mirth and the hint of a worry of disappointment. Calling home also meant she might be told to come home or that she was needed. Still, better to call home and have to make her own parting than to chance some deciding she needed taking care of.

"We can get back to it after I've checked in." Darn tooting she wanted to get back to that! Relm would have to be careful or she would run the risk of not getting anything else done for staying with Elijah.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 14, 2009 9:19 pm

Elijah raised an eyebrow at hearing her request. "Press the inisde base of your right ear...? What? you got a phone button in there or something?" He half teased. He was wondering though. Calling home.... Yeah, that was the point of stopping in the first place wasn't it? He was hopping to get back to what they had been doing previously and her calling home might possibly put things at an end for the night... Well, it's not like he wasn't going to try to see her really soon after tonight anyway.

"Actually... I'll just see this for myself..." He said, but caressed her ear for a tiny bit longer before actually doing it. He liked seeing how she was reacting to it.

"...'Lijah...!" His name came out murmured on a soft, pleasurable moan. Dammit but that felt good and Relm did not want to be sounding breathless to whomever was on the switchboard that night. Probably Myranda, since the GaiaCom only needed to recharge from time to time -not sleep. Resolutely the pictomancer clamped down on the sound she was making as the familiar tone sounded in her ear -and made a face at Elijah. It was followed by what she hoped he would understand was an indication for him not to do that while she was talking.

"Hello? Hey Myr, it's Relm. Yeah, I'm fine." Grin. Green eyes twinkled at Elijah. "Better than fine. Just wanted to check in & say I'm gonna be out longer but not to worry." Her eyes rolled at something coming through her communicator and the sound of a woman's no-nonsense voice might be able to be heard faintly from the Carbunkle's large ear. "No... Seriously. I'd say check with Trel but I know neither of us want to wake her for this. oh don't be an a**, Myr. It's my choice." Green eyes flashed and Relm's voice hardened. "Don't you dare, you majitek throwback." Sigh. "Look... you know I can take care of myself, Myr. I know. I know. It hasn't gone back there since, has it? Then what the hell's the problem?" Slight frown, followed by a smile and a shake of her head. "Of course I'll call. Yeah. Thanks, Myr. Bye."

She motioned Elijah to repeat the motion and waited until he had before talking to him. Relm was smiling, looking slightly sheepish and impish all at the same time. "Sorry 'bout that... Myr doesn't trust many guys." Green eyes were becoming dreamy as she sifted her fingers again through Elijah's brown hair. "Doesn't matter... 'cause Trel trusts you."

Green eyes sought green. "And I definitely do."
