Asashikka The angle is much more better (and tolerable to fool my eyes of the illusion)~ oAo Ah, I haven't gotten or played Mana Khemia II yet so no wonder the floor and wall graphics weren't all that familiar. 8D; And ahh I'm taking a summer course I have a general dislike towards right now. n__n; It's Speech (or public speaking in general) ahaha... Good luck with that! ^_^ Heheh, it's funny that you should mention that, as of now, I've opened a voice audition on A Reyvateil's Melody for the characters, in particularly Elirica: http://artonelico.isisview.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2347I haven't been able to focus properly as of late, so there is a lot of updating that I have to apply to the thread.

Wow~ I'd like to audition (albeit for fun and hopefully got over scaring myself with hearing my own voice recording) once I can figure out how to properly record myself... and to first purchase a microphone ahaha.. I hope you get a respectable amount of auditions! o:

Thank you. ^_^ Well, one thing to keep in mind, the audition isn't a simple fun and games matter, it's primary purpose is to find a voice for each character. So it's something that only those who are fully prepared to submit audio samples should join, and those that are not prepared or feel that they will not be able to give support in the future should avoid, which is why I chose the word audition. Elirica will have only one voice actress, as will the rest of the cast of characters. However, there will be circumstances when random voices are needed, where pretty much anyone can participate.

I understand~ I mentioned something about "fun" because I wouldn't be motivated otherwise if it wasn't an opportunity to have some fun while giving all of my effort into the project.. if I were able to do so. Speaking of voices.. you have a whole script already written out? o:

No, not yet, I'm writing it as I go, because I work better that way. At the moment, I'm still trying to finish as many maps as I can, so that I will know how to visualize the story and how it will play out. So far I've only written a very short dialog, which is in the audition thread. But a lot of it is because there are so many other aspects of the game that take up more time. sweatdrop

I see. ^^; That is a lot of work to do, especially since you're doing most of it alone and through your own effort.
So.. have you received any auditions so far? o:

Several people on the chat have said that they will give it a try, but they have either forgotten or haven't gotten around to it yet. Several others would like to participate, but lack a mic. So, I've already decided that I'll play the voice for at least one of the male characters, and have actually uploaded a sample to the thread. Also, I made a new portrait for Elirica. ^_^

Hurray~ I finally obtained a microphone! However, I'm still testing it out and see if I'm capable enough to do a song cover or something.
And wow, Elirica looks very charming~

Oh, I wasn't able to reply the last few days because I was quite antsy when my informative speech was coming up. That's over now though~ However, I have a upcoming persuasive speech to tackle. D: I hope I can assemble some interesting topics so I can choose one later on..

Cool, hope that goes well. ^_^
Thanks, you probably noticed, but I used Luca from Ar tonelico II as a base for her portrait.

I hope so too hehe~ Haha, I've noticed. ^^ Luca as a character actually appeals to me (or rather, have taken an understanding to her "flaws" than to use it to justify my dislike of her overall character) so I haven't forgotten her general design. The editing and modification is done quite well though~

Reusing existing ones doesn't exactly float well on projects such as this haha. 8D; And, you went through that trouble of rendering Elirica in this fashion. It'd be a waste if Elirica wasn't "Elirica" but someone else instead haha. Ahh.. it's quite late, but I hope you understand what I mean..?

It'd be a waste if Elirica wasn't "Elirica" but someone else instead haha. Ahh.. it's quite late, but I hope you understand what I mean..? Oh yes, I'm fully aware of it. blaugh That is actually one of the reasons why I was hoping to find an artist that could draw Elirica in a similar manner to the official artwork used in the original games. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, so I had to use my own abilities, and that was to create a costume edit of an existing character. mrgreen I decided to use Luca for Elirica, because her facial features and expressions seemed to match how I imagined her to look, while at the same time it had to be similar to the color edit of Leyfa that I was originally using, because I had already made quite a large number of sprites based on that, and it would be far more difficult to redesign the sprites then the portrait. I'm also planning to use Chroche's portrait for Revirna, because, like with Luca's portrait, her facial features and expressions match how I picture her to look. Though I'm still working on that, so it will probably be awhile before it's finished.
