As he kept watch over the cave and its current inhabitants, Crow began to trace back to this morning when he and those he'd come with had escaped. Kioko, Strobe, and Lolina were the only ones he could remeber leaving with, and then there were so many others they'd met along the way. He began to wonder how many others there might be, or even if there might be other facilities.

Firefly stood there, gazing at all the new people who had arrived. She wasn't use to being around a large crowd like this. One or two people maximum was what she was use to being around.

Drake stood there as well, having nothing better to do. He had choices of what to do, socialize, sleep, roam around, or talk with Firefly, but he really didn't want to soicalize. He's been roaming around for a while already, and he couldn't sleep. Talking to firefly was his only solution, but he wasn't up for that. He could see that she wasn't in the talking mood either.

Strobe sat down, tried to think, to analyze the situation. If the stayed here, so close to the facility they had all escaped, they were in danger. Staying close was a good tactic, but not this close, not in areas where they might do random perimeter checks. The waterfall might block the signals emminating from them while in the cave, as the area around it was rich in mists, but camera drones or human personelle might still pick them up. No, the city was the best move, back to Miami and, in time, spreading out to other places. He didn't know how the others would react to this, if any would choose to go with him, if they would agree to his plan, but at this point he did not feel like being captured a second time. wait, a second time? More momories came back, the fire, struggling against people holding him back, the needle full of sleeping juice, talk of enhancing powers with alchemy....
he snapped back and stood up.

He watched as Strobe had stood up. He looked like he wanted to announce something, but Drake could tell he was holding back on the announcement. Drake stood there, still looking around at the others. He wanted to know what was going to happen next. Were they going to finally get out of this area? Are they going to keep together and run to safety? Will they split up and go seperate ways after this was all over? Will we be able to lead normal lifes after this? He knew that most of them wouldn't be ablet o lead normal lives after this.

as max sat listening to the waterfall, tears ran down his face. the thought that he would never be normal again was tearing him to pieces. he would have to deal with fur and a tail for the rest of his life, however short it may be.

Her ears twitched as she heard smeone crying silently. Seeing that Drake wasn't paying attention, she quickly slid away and came over to Max. She saw the tears falling from his eyes. If he wasn't going to stop crying soon, she would start crying. Firefly knelt beside him, "Crying, why?" She asked.

he wiped his face. "ill never be normal again. im going to be a freak for the rest of my miserable life. i hate it! first my mom dies, then my dad hits me and now this!"

She put one of her beastly paws on his shoulder. "Not you alone." She said tears welping in her eyes now. She knew how he felt, she knew that she wasn't going to be normal ever again either. But the sad thing about it, is that she never knew her family, she was just an orphange when she was taken away to be tested on. She shifted to a more comfortable position, sitting instead of kneeling.

"I don't think we should stay here anymore."Strobe said finally, "When Kioko, Lolina, Crow and I escaped, There were these drones and helicopter that ran thenselves thanks to an artificial intelligence seal. While I don't think that the drone will be able to track us very well if we wet our barcodes, the scientists probably set out to find out what went wrong when they stopped being ab;e to track us. This may mean that they're using real ground personelle to find us now, and they can't be blocked out with running water." He waited for the reactions of the others. He didn't want to separate from them, but would if he had no other choice.

max finally spoke up. "they're using guns, and will not hesitate to fire. i would know, my dad shot me. they want us dead or alive, so use what they gave us and fight back"

"We can avoid all that if we go into the city. They wouldn't dare try anything in the city, where their highly dangerous experiments could cause such a huge comotion. They don't want their story on the six'o'clock news any more than you want that fur."

Jackie had to agree with Strobe as she sat up, sighing slightly. "I agree." She said softly as she stood up and looked over at Max and Firefly. "The scientists are scared of an investigation of their facilities. They could get shut down and face the death penalty of all the experiments they had killed in the process. The city is our only sanctuaray. Even now, they are regrouping...and tracking us down like the animals they think we are..." She looked outside for a moment as her cat ears twitched, before finally returning her gaze to the group of experiments. She then looked over at Max and cocked her head to the right as her brow furrowed. "You have been through alot...have you not?" She asked in a sincere tone.

Firefly didn't want to agree with Strode or Jackie, but she knew it was their only chance to survive. Her abnormal feline ears pinned back as she nodded her head. "City good." She agreed, knowing that Drake would be stunned by her answer.

he looked over at jackie. "you have no idea." he said as he pushed his hair away from his face to reveal a fist sized burn scar on the right side of his face. he then let it fall back into place. it wasnt something he liked to talk about with large groups of people. he would tell her about it at another time. "and there is no way i can go to the city. do you realize what kind of hysteria would erupt when a five foot 9 inch leopard man walks down the street. i would start riots by just being there."
