An hour later and 12 strikes later Kanji had run out of katana basics to teach. "You're good. Ok next weapon. Ummm......Spear. No.....Oh yes. Bow" Kanji handed a long bow and some arrows to Alli. He pulled out his own Masterly crafted bone Long bow. "Have you ever used a bow?"

Alli shook her head. "No, I haven't. But I've seen father use it..." She tried to remember how he used it.

Kanji Showed how to hold the Bow properly. "See that branch?" Kanji refered to a branch about 2 inches thick. "Get a arrow through it"

Alli pulled back the string, aiming for the branch. She let go, and the arrow barely grazed the top of it. She wrinkled her nose, and got another arrow.

She closed her eyes, and pulled back the string. She lowered the bow a little, and let go, opening her eyes. The arrow hit the branch in the middle. Alli smiled and looked at Kanji.

In the middle of the shot Kanji started screaming and runing around.

Alli stared at Kanji. "What are you doing?" She asked him. She picked up another arrow, and turned back to the branch.

Alli reached for the Katana at her feet, maybe he was testing her. If she set her weapon down, he might attack. She kept one eye on him, and picked up the Katana.

"In the middle of a battle, it isn't going to be quiet" Explained Kanji. He started smashing a branch against a tree

Alli glared at him, and set the katana down. She drew the bowstring back, and aimed at the branch. She let go, and the branch spun as the arrow hit it near the left end of it.

Kanji picked up two arrows and notched them both. He pulled back "watch this" He fired. both the arrows stuck in the branch side by side. "Ok time for the spear" He passed a spear to Alli.

Alli took it, and held it in one hand, examining it.

Kanji pulled out his spear and readied it. "Stab at me"

Alli paused, and got into a fighting stance. She waited a moment, just to annoy him, and circled him. She stabbed at his right side.

Kanji parried it and used her momentum push her down. "Trainings over for now. I havent had breakfast yet"
