PhaedraMcSpiffy From the pro-life day of silence thread in ED: Dark Lord Drake Pro-choice does NOT fit anyone's morals anymore than the Holocaust fit all German's morals. If someone considers it cruel and unjust killing then it fits just as well. choice in their morality to an attempt to kill off an entire group of people due to prejudice? I want to say I don't understand this reasoning, but.... Then I remember when I read PETA propaganda that said chicken farming was like the Holocaust. DX I thought that was perfectly valid at the time. I had this same problem in an arugment on youtube. |

And it's wrong to "punish" a non-sentient fetus but it's perfectly fine to explicitly punish thinking, feeling human beings for having sex?

You know.... I'm pretty sure that saying "******** you" directly to users like that counts as flaming/personal insult/trolling when defined as "inciting hate toward an individual or group of individuals. Unlike a lot of these posts, that one isn't under-the-radar enough and could probably be deleted if reported. Maybe the user would even get banned.

I was in this "Abortion and Rape" thread over the weekend.
And I was feeling pretty chill - apparently I wasn't giving off "STRONG" pro-choice vibes.
Because this girl, after I say that I don't know what I'd do if I were a pregnant rapee - but that I'd seriously consider abortion, says "But it's a PART of you. It's not JUST the rapist's baby. It's yours too! You could always give it up for adoption."

Thanks I'll pass. Canadian adoption system is pretty dismal, thank you. And, PS, I don't want to be a mother. Me popping a shortie out the ol' love channel and handing it off to the nearest sterile couple doesn't make me a non-mother. It just means I'm not raising my kid.
That's not even the most irritating part of the debate. It essentially boils down to this crap-a** circular reason:
It's not just about him, it's also a part of you. But you shouldn't abort because it's a seperate entity. Because it's also part of him, not just you.
And then some douchey man comes along and gives me crap for potentially aborting because I have a strong fear for labour. Sorry if I don't want to exeperience something on the magnitude that you could never actually feel. Sorry if I don't want to dislocate my ******** pelvis pushing out some rapist's baby.

I'm pro-life all the way. Babies are amazing. They are not parasites. If you believe them to be so, go Google the term 'parasite', dumb@$$.
If you have sex, you chance having a baby. If you choose to have sex anyway, and you get knocked up, too bad. Take the @#$*ing responsibility and deal with the consequences. I don't want to hear your sob stories. You fail.
If you get raped, that's still no reason to kill the fetus. Adoption is an option if you don't want the baby. Just because the baby isn't the 'ideal' baby, doesn't mean it deserves to die.
Inability to fulfill financial obligations to the child isn't an excuse, either.
Abortion doesn not equal birth control. If you think so, you are full of fail.
The moment the fetus begins to develop = life. Organs develop. They start working. The fetus relies on the mother to be nourished. Therefore, abortion = murder.
If your life is in danger, oh well. Quit being a selfish p***k. Giving your life for your fetus/baby is the most selfless thing you can do.
And no, you can't replace the last baby by making another one, someday. Each fetus/baby is completely unique. The fetus you decide not to kill will not magically be the one you murdered.
If you disagree, I don't value your opinion. I also don't like you. If you've had an abortion, I hope the guilt crushes you until you die. If you don't feel guilty, you can GTFO.
President Reagan once epically said: “I’ve noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.” Same to you pro-choicers. If your parents decided to rid themselves of you, you wouldn't be around to voice your opinion about baby-murdering.

I think this counts under the whole "fell that pro-life love"
My brother caught my aunt and a family friend talking on the phone about stem cell research and that research companies were "harvesting babies" by paying women to be pregnant and abort their fetuses for research which could mean up to full term fetuses. On top of that, they thought Barack Obama supported "baby harvesting".
I'm not sure if I should laugh or be sad that someone actually thought this up.

Don't they know that the embryos used in stem-cell research are from IVF, not abortion? The "babies" they talk about when they complain about stem-cell research are literally in a petri dish. They have less cells than the brain of a housefly.
Another Piece of Fail I saw on Facebook today:
"It's a baby Mr. Obama, not a punishment"
1. It's a fetus.
2. It IS a punishment when you want to FORCE someone to give birth against their will just because they had sex.
3. I think he's still SENATOR, and I know he's now PRESIDENT-ELECT. He stopped being "mister" a long time ago.
