"And as we all know that could get to be a bit dangerous. Loonacy runs wild. I'll try to keep everything in check. Thank you Lady." He bowed his head a bit, some real respect showing at the easy acceptance of his less than subtle hints. He is not the most able smooth talkers when it comes to manipulation so he doesn't try, just follows the script when necissary and tells his truths. So far her advice was just reiterating the lessons he had learned, but then it usually did.

Sami laughed softly. "You don't understand, do you? I'm not speaking of some distant, far-off time when these will come into play. I'm speaking of the now. Has the Sun hit you yet? The Five of Pentacles can lead to the Six of Wands or a foolish end."
Then again, what was the point of this? This boy would never understand what she was saying.

"I understand only parts of that, but then I never was much good at decifering puzzles, even when I was a lad. They always click into place after they are needed or just in time. As for the sun, lets just say if I wasn't a light sleeper I might have gotten a horrible sunburn with my fair complexion as of last week." He gave a wry chuckle and wasn't surprised that she "knew" of it. "I'd prefer to not end, though I can't remember the six of wands... Butterfly, it's..." He looked introspective, like he was saying what someone said to him trying to find it in his memory. "At least it wasn't the Fool again. I hate the hanged man." He muttered to himself.

Jimmy glanced at Avery and then back at Christian. "A cab sounds fine. You got money?" She put on his best grin. He was always broke so no way he could pay.

"Why not the Hanged Man? You don't enjoy sacrifice? Why not the Fool? You don't enjoy freedom?" Sami challenged, dark eyes afire with too much knowledge. "Or perhaps you merely rush too fast to pause to reflect-- you never wait for what you should."
Enough. This boy was no use to her. Consequently, the girl had no need for him. If this had been anywhere but Elysium, she would've sent him on his merry way with her illusions-- but no. Such matters were against the 'rules'. Instead, Samirah rose, slipping past without much care.
To attempt to slip upstairs? Or to stay and mingle?
Upstairs meant Brenadeus, the Malkavian leader. Was he truly the Prince in his own right? Sami no longer knew, nor particularly cared. He led for the moment, and thus she followed for the moment. Personal loyalty and belief had nothing to do with it.
But downstairs required continued association with those who inhabited it, which wasn't an entirely pleasant thought either.
Decisions, decisions...

Davey watched the proceedings before taking note of the flyer. After reading it, he grabbed a phone and stuck it in his pocket.
Without saying anything else, he went back to leaning against the wall.
Lavina smiled. This is what she was looking for, some action. She, too, took a phone and made it disappear. Moving to the side, she listened to the plans the others were making.

"No, Because.." His voice was soft. "Because naught is worse than the hanged man when that was the fate you were to face. Because Freedom can be a pretty cage, and the last time the hanged man was in my future I became one of the embraced. Surprising that a mother who left the roads for the city would see her son a mere day before he was embraced. Isn't it. Though the only reason I even tell you this is the fool holds a price as does this hanged man. It all depends on what position they are in, and when. Because, what if on the ninth day, he looked down and saw not bits of metal, but bits of stone that then were thrown against him, and what's to say on that day he did not see peace but a different cage?" He twirrled a few of the prisca decorating the front of his jacket and gave a small chuckle. "Well Good evening to you. I will keep the cards in mind. I remember what mandi's daia told me of those cards... Looks like fun." He grins half to himself. "My victory, no, but then I'm not here for my victory... I'm here to be part of that sacrafice I guess, but not. My victory will come much later, and not here." He chuckled. "That was my confusion. But good day." He smiles and nods, this time meaning it. "I hadn't thought on her in years. Hmm time breeds fondness." He half mused to himself and looked to the bartender then back. "Well, might as well find the bitte holeno" he chuckled and stood. "Does the prince hold court near here or would I need to enquire on a date to see his retainers, it would never do to be hunted for not anouncing myself."

It wasn't difficult to discern what was happening upstairs. A little party gathered together to help bren in his peacekeeping duties. Unsure of something, little Princeling? Silly boy. Trust your instincts a little more-- don't trust a liar all the time.
Humming to herself, Samirah took a deep breath to steady herself before moving towards the stairs.

Avery looked at Christian and pulled away from the wall. Anything was better then staying in the room with a bunch of people he had no idea who they were. Besides if he had to he could run off once out of here.
"Yeah sure. What exactly are we doing again?" he asked as he stepped up beside the slender young man. Well, well maybe tonight wasn't going to be a complete bust he thought as he took in the body he had been denied earlier again. "Were we suppose to take those phone things he had?"
Shooting a grin at the smiling guy standing by Christian he wondered about how to best get repeat customers out of these two. He really did like the quiet, cute ones.

He blinked and his smile turned wry. He chuckled to himself and then gathered himself up. "Talking to yourself, never a good sign. Hmmm..." He turned and wove his way over to the bar to try and enquire about a possible court around here.

Morgan smirked. Speedial, hmm?
The reporter glanced at her watch, once more with an expressive grimace on her face. "Well I'll be sleeping all day if I don't get home soon. What part of the city are you headed to? I live near Vachase Manor, if you know where that is. We could all share a cab if you like," she offered.
Sharing a cab with vampires. Not how she saw this evening ending.

*Harry packed everything he thought most useful for travel. Dried foods, a single cloak, one change of clothes, a little bit of spare coin and a few assorted essentials. He wasnt sure if he were to wait for further instructions or get started however as there was mention of another who might travel with him he decided the best course of action was to get started and see if he met him along the way. Locking up his door he turned onto the path leading out so he could begin his task.*

The cards spoke softly to Samirah slowly as each face revealed its true identity to her. One by one by one by one by--
...no. No.
Samirah screamed as visions assailed her, images... she needed to rally others to help her and quickly.
