Hideyo didn't bother to visibly register Luther's maniacal grin though rarely did anything slip past Hideyo's heightened senses. "Have you now?" She asked with a slight tint of interest and an amused smile. "How have you always been here, might I ask." It was more of a statement than a question or request but she still offered Luther the choice as to whether or not he could answer. "Always here in terms of time, in terms of your material being, in terms of your spirit, your family's bloodline?" She was a slight bit intrigued, otherwise she would not have bothered to bring such things up. However, she wasn't dying to know his response.

When he told her he was never lonely, Hideyo simply snickered, seeing through his little statement with the precision of an eagle eyeing it's prey on the ground from over one hundred feet above. "Very well, you aren't lonely," she decided to humour the insane side of Luther's personality. "You appeared a slight bit lonely to me, though, I suppose I was wrong to make assumptions." She then took that moment overlook the edge of the building as she continued to sit beside him and then she looked up toward the sky that managed to always comfort and calm her though she was never completely sure why it did.

After his little rude display of obvious non-affection toward Alasdair but more-so herself, she stood up and stared at him with her now deep violet eyes. What he saw inside those eyes was chaos and the tiniest glimpse of mass carnage, death and destruction. They were hardened eyes that had purpose and served only one person, themself. "I know not," she said, her melodic voice no longer harmonic but a tad chaotic yet still retaining the complete beauty and smoothness of her voice, "what you speak of, sir. And I suggest you go elsewhere with such strong and rude statements or you just may find that what little chance of freedom you have left is shredded into tiny irreplaceable particles before your blood lusting eyes." A threat? Entirely.

Her violet eyes were not quite glaring at him but they were certainly slightly narrowed in distaste. "Had the introduction come before the threat," she continued to speak with her slightly chaotic voice, "I might have just been inclined to be civil. You ask for my name after threatening me and seem to expect a polite response or a response at all. You can apologize for such rude behaviour, before I will so much as answer you what I see before me this very moment." It was clear she was not impressed by his behaviour and she did not expect, she demanded an apology for such a rude display. What made it worse was that it was not even with proper motive.

"We've all been here, for all eternity, and for no time at all. But for me inparticular it is because of the person who originally blooded me." He had found out days ago, the Vampire who blooded hima nd sold him o the Void was once one of the most powerful Deathdealers of the Coven, he had had a debt to pay and needed to deliver one truly evil soul. He had found Luther. "Vampires recieve blood from the people who give them the dark curse when they are turned, we are everyone who has ever blooded us, we are everyone." He had learnt this from an Agent of the Void, all Vampires were connected somehow. One Vampire bloods another, who bloods two more, they both blood three each, and it goes like that until you get the entire Vampire race.

"I didn't say I don't appear lonely, but the voices in my head are enough company." He had known problem telling anyone about these voices, because he wouldn't have them for much longer. He just had to find another physical vessel to put the Insanity into, perhaps a stone at the bottom of the ocean. He watched the Moon, and scowled at its audacity, making himf eel so small and out-of-place. He had seen a serene look on her face as she gazed at the sky; He hated that. He looked at her sitting next to him, and immediately thought of someone.... Cosette! The lucidity snapped back into his being, his eyes becoming less insane and the smile dribbling from his face. "I think it's safe to say I can talk without being rude, Ma'am." He said, his accent taking a more elegant and noble twist.

"I am Luther Crepsly, or Creepy as I previously introduced myself as. I am currently having problems with my mind. There is me, and then there is my brain room-mate, Creepy, the pure blood-lust insanity and incoherent buffoon in me." He then listened to her threaten his freedom, and was immediately mad eto look cold and uncaring. "My Freedom is the only thing I have left, and even that Freedom is a pale imitation of what I once had." He scratched the Shock-Collar, feeling a small zap travelling up his finger. "Alasdair has sort-of hired me to do research, it started out friendly but then he threatened my death if I didn't come up with an unreasonable amount of results in an unreasonable time, I have managed to do it with great loss to myself." He felt that his side of the story should be heard before she took sides in Luther's little debate, the truth was that both Him and Alasdair were Alpha-Males, they loved to be in control and would slit each others' throats to get into a position of Leadership.

"I expected you to slap me in the face" He said lightly, brushing the fringe out of his eyes. At the thought of Cosette he had gained temporary control, it was curious but he didn't doubt that it had something to do with Cosette's little spell over him. "I am very sorry, I am usually never rude towards a fellow Coven member unless they genuinely deserve it. Which is quite a lot of them nowadays" He said bitterly, momentarily thinking of the Spaniard.

Prometheus noticed that Hideyo knew he was there, and stepped out of hiding. "Greetings, I am Prometheus." He said, doing the best "bow" a Lycan could do. "Sorry if I bothered you, it's just that I noticed that you, too are immortal and I wanted to find out what I could."

It was so exhilarating. Cosette was positive she had never before felt so light and airy, Yet at the same instant felt so whole and perfectly capable of anything. Cosette fully believed that for once in the whole century of her new life, She wasn't the weak lithe creature that everyone had grown to know her as. That maybe, She might live up to her potential for great things and just may be a little force to be reckoned with.
Those luscious curls sprung with every one of her flouncy little steps as she skipped along the sidewalk. Her slender little figure gracefully slipping through crowd without any contact, slithering around each person without so much as ruffling the air. Her reinforced dancer grace certainly wasn't the only thing she found a delight in exploiting. With the calming silence of her fractured mind, Cosette managed to find the patience to look all about her in curious hungry glances, trying to take in everything all in one instant. For what seemed like the first time, She noticed the flashing billboards and bright advertisements. Never before had Cosette even attempted to understand the modern age because the horrid noise along was more than enough to turn her away from the learning experience.
She was about to turn a corner and explore the next block of fancy ads and billboards when her little button noise caught a familiar scent. Something delicious and coated in a bloody essence. Cosette stood there, hands on her dainty hips as she looked about trying to spot that bright red hair. For something that might have previously taken too long to hold Cosette's fragile interest, She managed to locate Luther almost instantly. He was up rather high, perched on one those monstrous buildings. Unfortunately, He wasn't alone. Some saucy little Asian was there, sharing the roof top with him. So, Is that what Luther had been doing all this time? Left poor, lonely little Cosette all alone in a strange apartment with nothing to do or means to occupy herself, while he was out taking care 'of some business'. Some business that was, Courting up some obviously old brunette.

She probably looked rather silly, leaning against a parked car and starring upwards like some dazed and intoxicated girl who had just noticed the sky was freckled with tiny lights. But of course, Cosette didn't care in the least for what anyone, least of what petty humans would think. Her full undivided attention was fixed on the image of her mad scientist. Cosette had honestly intended to be a good girl and ask Luther permission to try it out on him, but after what seemed like hours, dozens of shattered glasses and three empty syringes later, Cosette was tired of waiting around the apartment while Luther was apparently having much delight placing all his precious company with some pretty Asian.
Cosette decided that if she was able to preform her fancy new trick on Luther, she was confident she could take it a step further with Alasdair and claim the victory she rightfully deserved. Luther would be her test subject, Just as she had been his. Besides, Since he had obliviously lied straight faced to her on where he had intended to go that evening, She felt he fully deserved it. Of course, She wouldn't harm him terribly much. Just enough to cause discomfort and pain as the bones would begin contracting, threatening to snap just as all those glass cups had done. It would be more than enough to know if she was successful.
The smallest flicker of a smile touched her round face as Cosette stared upwards, Her brilliant blue eyes were locked on his figure, her focus never wavering. She planting all her fragile attention on wrapping her psyche around his frame. She was clever enough to realized that Luther might simply be able to phase out of her grasp if he noticed her presence or figured out just what she was attempting, But she also gambled that he wouldn't realize what was happening until it was too late. Or if he did discover what was happening, He might simply comply and be a nice, obedient test subject.
Cosette swiftly began enclosing the invisible box, piling on the pressure that would first begin suffocating him. Then, if she was successful, it would close in on his bones, straining them to retain their shape and threatening to crack under the pressure. She watched Luther with those focused blue eyes, waiting for any signs of discomfort. Any hints that she had succeeded.
((Sorreh it's so long))

(( Not a problem, I write too much too. sweatdrop That and your writing is awesome so I don't mind reading long posts from you along with a few others here. ))

Hideyo’s lips curled into the hint of a smile as she listened to Luther’s thoughts about how things worked in the world. It wasn’t that she found Luther’s ideas amusing, it was the fact that he reminded her of a distant and now deceased friend that had told her very similar thoughts. “Though you are much more disgraceful and rude,” Hideyo bluntly stated, having no issue being rude to him since she believed that respect would be given if shown so until Luther showed her some respect and apologized, she would be disrespectful as well, “you remind me of an old friend. Now while both your ideas are very true in some aspects, in others they are not. All things come to an end eventually no matter what. Individuals especially but they live on with their legacies and people after them continue in their footsteps and thus that person has come to an end but yet they have not. However, if forgotten then they cease to exist to anyone and they come to a complete and total end, or do they?” She’d obviously had much time to speculate on such things and had her solid opinions on things but seemed open-minded for the most part.

Luther’s lonliness really wasn’t a concern of Hideyo’s since she’d merely been observing him and it was not something that she felt was worth disputing so she left it at that. She’d more mentioned it to see how he’d react and whether or not he would try to hide, it was more or less a test of just how honest this vampire was, the true thing that mattered. Of course, Hideyo hadn’t always been cold as she was this moment but now she was notorious for her cold nature continuing to be so even to this day. She’d never required companionship after her experience since she’d learnt from her pain so she had never really had anyone to call a companion. Companion, of course meaning mate or whatever modern term it was that people had come up with nowadays, wife or husband if she recalled correctly. As a human, though, she’d never had or really required a companion since she’d first been a priestess and then she ended up being recruited into the army. There had been no time to find a companion or friend in the army since everyone wound up dead anyhow so she quickly learnt that the best and only friend she really could rely on was herself. To this day she remained the same and the only friend she truly had was herself.

Hideyo waited to introduce herself until Luther’s apology came and it happened to be his second last sentence in which he actually apologized to her, time in which she had been patiently waiting like a hawk to hear the specific words. Of course, the words weren’t as solid as she would have liked them to be since he was rather scatter brained at the moment but it’d have to do. However, if he decided to be so rude again he surely would not receive the benefit of the doubt as she had given him this particular moment. “Hai! Apology accepted,” she said as though she had all the time in the world, her voice now melodic and serene again, “and my name is Hideyo. Time has actually swept my true name away so this isn’t my birth name but I go by Hideyo now. I do believe I didn’t take the time to mention that to Alasdair but I suppose I’ll bother to tell him later. Alasdair gah tomodachi desu.” She then smirked lightly at his comment about her smacking him and responded, “It is not often I strike people. I only strike them if I believe they are too far gone and you were simply being childish so I chose to be less hostile.” The reason was as simple as she’d stated it.

Her eyes soon reverted downward, drawn to Cosette and her psychic power that eminated from her. Even though Hideyo was not a psychic herself, she’d grown an extra sense over the years and was able to determine who was a psychic and when they were initiating in psychic activity. Now happened to be one of those moments where she sensed the psychic and it happened to be the small little blonde-haired girl that’d been with Mr. Crepsly not all that long ago. Apparently the young girl was jealous and the green colour so clear on her face was not the only indicator of how childish she was. Hideyo beheld the petite girl’s eyes glaze over as she began to focus on Luther and she decided to have a little fun of her own. She pulled out three senbon, they were about two and a half centimetres thick and they were a good six centimetres long. Of course she’d pulled them out with a blinding speed so before anyone could register what’d really happened, the needles were flying toward Cosette. They weren’t meant to harm, just to warn and teach her so if she stayed still, which she probably would due to the fact she was focusing, they would only skim her enough so that she’d notice and be distracted enough to halt her little attack or whatever it was she was hoping to accomplish.

"You gonna buy?"
"Mmmm... let me take another look see..."

lolindentStan stared at the table filled with boxes of "Dona and Rabbana" perfumes for men. Of course, wrong brand name, but that was definitely what it said on the box. Although, it WAS the same exact things as the real deal. They simply put new brand names to avoid one criminal charge, to which would help them greatly despite the myriad of other offenses they would be charged with if some Cop decided to be an a**, or he was late with his arrest quota. Bureaucracy, hmm.
lolindentThe vendor. A tall African American man looked around worried as he attempted to hurry Stan with a plethora of hand motions. It was cheap, cheaper than most stores around these parts. Five dollars was an amazingly good deal, and the Psychologist had to smell nice. He gave the vendor a nod and reached for his wallet, "I'll take two." The man quickly took two boxes, placed them in a bag, then collected a ten dollar bill from Stan. No tax. Which was totally great in Stan's eyes because the Government would've just ended up using it on another F-35 Lightning. The bastards. They traded silent goodbyes/thanks and walked off, leaving the vendor disassembling his table by himself whilst picking up his remaining products. Stan, happy with his purchases, walked with a delighted bounce in his step.

The hunter was ultimately ever vigilant. His guns always cocked and ready to be used if the need arise.

Luther felt the choking pressure placed upon him, and nearly laughed at it. This was the work of somebody working at complete harmony with the Drug, it was beautiful. He phased through the grasp, leaving with a mere cracked rib and a near punctured kidney. He coughed, blood spilling onto the ground, still grinning. "Well done, Cosette" He said softly, looking at her. She was doing better than expected, only someone truly dancing with the Drug could do something that powerful considering the distance between him and Cosette. He clapped, and said "Well done Cosette" He knew how it looked to Cosette, it looked like the night he had walked into the plaza to see Cosette seducing Alasdair, betrayed, angry, and wanting to shred something to thin strips. I do not know this Woman, I came to the City because I needed food for a friend He said, referring to the psychotic part of himself which he had now absorbed once again, the only reason he hadn't started babbling was because Cosette was in vision. He didn't know why but she calmed him, stopped him from losing control. He liked to think he had an affect on her, but he doubted it, in their never ending dance for power she was still in the lead. He sighed, and closed his eyes, rubbing the lids with the tips of his fingers.

Alasdair

PostPosted: Mon Jul 07, 2008 1:54 pm

Alasdair had chosen to stay behind when Hideyo decided to move over to the other building. She moved right when he sensed Luther, so that must mean that she sensed him a second before Alasdair. There was only one person that he remembered could do that. But it was impossible that it was her. Alasdair used to know a woman back in Japan that frequently did that. She would spot someone before him and just vanish towards them, leaving Alasdair only a step behind.

The sudden memory of Arashi had slightly distracted him, but even if his thoughts were elsewhere his ears were always listening to everything they could. That is how Alasdair heard what Luther said about him, how ungrateful. It pleased Alasdair how Luther was turning out to be, pleased him so much that he decided to stay behind on top of the nearby rooftop and listen to the conversation.

Alasdair’s violet eyes moved from Hideyo to Luther while they made their introductions. It made a grin come to his face when he heard Hideyo speak of him, tell the mad scientist of their past. But it was enough when Cosette come into the picture. Alasdair did not really have any problem with Cosette being there with her puppet, but as soon as Hideyo attack her, he knew that he had to act.

The instant that the needles left Hideyo’s petit hands, Alasdair appeared at the end of the rooftop. He was behind Luther and Cosette. His grin turned smug as he watched and his naturally trailed towards the hilt of his sword. Like always, he preferred to be ready with his sword nearby.

It seems that the little miss has had too much of your drug Luther. She turns on her beloved puppet…How sad” Alasdair said suddenly in a very soft voice. He was obviously mocking the mad scientist, but he was having so much fun with it. He wanted to see the look on Cosette’s drugged up face when she saw him and felt the sudden needles.

((I don't have time to proof read my post. Gotta pick up my sister.))

It was quite the normal occurrence for Cosette to be completely oblivious to all things she had unjustifiably labeled bland and interesting. Such seemed to be the case when the glances from the lycan and the abrupt change in focus towards Cosette's direction by the Asian vampire both went entirely unnoticed by her. Cosette was much too occupied to notice much of anything as she starred upwards, Those brilliant blue eyes fixed wholly on Luther's figure.
It seemed pure chance that a correlation between Hideyo's odd needles projectiling in her direction and Luther phasing out of her grasp had both managed at the same instant knock Cosette from her focused concentration. It was at the last possible second that Cosette stepped sideways, alerted by the sound of something cutting through the air at a rapid rate and watched, pouting as the needles struck the fancy red Porsche that she had, merely seconds before been leaning against. Seeing has how Luther had been a bit occupied getting his ribs broken, It only took Cosette a moment rationalize that the needles had either come from the Women or Alasdair, both of whom Cosette had instantly decided she didn't fancy. Those two had major issues when it came to manners, they must have forgotten proper etiquette along with their humanity.

It was probably a good thing Luther had decided to phase out of her grasp. After all, He wasn't simply another expendable glass cup for her to shatter and she hadn't thought to consider how difficult it might have been to simply halt the psychic assault. In fact, She wasn't sure she could have demonstrated the restrained to call it off regardless of who her test subject had been. Though, It would have been awfully fun to watch as his body contract inward to finally give way in an explosion of flesh and blood. Oh well, She could try it on Alasdair later. She fancied Luther too much to make a bloody smoothie out of him anyways.
Although Luther had reached out to reassure her, insisted he didn't know the women; It would have been nearly impossible for Cosette to idle around standing there amongst the sidewalk simply watching the pair. Without the drug enchanting her small body, Cosette wasn't sure she could have made a jump so terribly high, but she felt confident she could join the small gathering. The simple jump was as graceful as any dancer's leap, But it entirely lacked the elegance of the older vampires in the area. Cosette's movements were still adjusting to the surge of power, leaving her with an edge of clumsiness much like a teenager who had grown half foot over the summer and was still trying to grow accustomed to the added advantage. Cosette landed on the edge, upon only her small toes and balancing carefully along the ledge.

“Ally..” Cosette muttered, finding it a chore to address Alasdair even though she felt such a dire need to set him straight. “If I was going to turn on someone, I would warn them ahead of time. So they have ample to fret on just what I'm going to do to them, to let the fear bubble up and then.” Cosette then suddenly clapped her hands together, Theatrically putting on a display. She then flashed a smile, One of those charming irresistible move screen smiles and then hopped off the ledge and marched right on by Alasdair with her nose held high in the air.
“So, You liked that, Hm? You got blood on the ground though. You seriously need to stop making messes.” Cosette stated, pausing a few paces from Luther and pointed a hand at the dirtied ground from when he'd coughed up the blood. “Such a waste. Don't go spilling it all over town. You'll make me go crazy.”

Luther looked up and grinned, his eyes clear again and his mind focused, he stood up straight and said "You're far too intelligent to go scrambling around in the dust for my blood when you could just ask me with a little flicker of that smile of yours." He smiled again, his far less charming, more of a twisted look of amusement. He sighed, and said "You took more than one vial didn't you?" He knew what the answer was, but he felt it more polite to ask. He took a stepforward and placed a hand on her shoulder, ready to keep her upright when she lost the effects of the drug and suffered from withdrawal. "Cosette, you know that with one little mental call I would've come running" He said with a grin, placing his top hat back on his head and sighing happily. "This is what I love about New York, blood in the cold, night air, tension between people of the same race, and a general feeling of violence. The English Dream." He smiled, and said "I have your vials, Alasdair, drop by at my Lab in Las Noches." He left it at this, he didn't want to talk to much with the Voidmaster for fear of catching the Pompous Moron.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 07, 2008 3:14 pm

Alasdair chuckled at the sight of Cosette jumping up to the tall building. It seemed that the vials that Luther was supplying Cosette were really working wonders for that weak vampire. But it was still not enough to make them cocky enough to dream of opposing Alasdair. It was fun to see them dreaming of grandeur, see them scheme their big fight for freedom.

It was so amusing to see Cosette talk of fearing her, when she is in such a weak state. Alasdair could smell the drug running through her blood. He knew she was addicted to it, addicted to the power. But she appeared to be oblivious to the fact that while she thought she was high and mighty, she was actually just the weakest vampire present.

Then Luther spoke to Alasdair. His words only made his laugh, laugh out loud with a sinister tone. It was still amusing to hear him in his arrogance towards him. Alasdair then walked towards the other end of the roof, he walked towards Hideyo. But as he walked, he walked pass Luther and his violet eyes turned to the void master. “Careful not to slip Luther…” Alasdair whispered the warning softly as he made his way back to the Asian vampire.

lolindent Did anyone ever see that episode of Pinky and the Brain where they parody the movie Twister, and Pinky acts as the Brain's RADAR in detecting cyclones by pointing at a flying cow. Well, Stan felt somewhat like that when he saw Cosette practically fly through the air and made a near perfect landing on a (rooftop??). His index finger pushed at the bridge of his horn-rimmed glasses and turned around; sprinting towards an alleyway of an adjacent building. It was (sort of) his job to keep the streets clean and there seemed to be a few vampires around. Outnumbered; Stan made his way up to the roof VIA the typical fire escapes found next to all buildings in the Big Apple. It was a fire hazard not to have one. Totally.
lolindent He reached the top and produced his police-issue Glock 37 pistol. Thank the nice people at Special Investigations, and the Law Officer Special Order System for that one. He pointed the gun towards the gathered vampires as he approached the edge of the adjacent building. Loading the gun with a magazine which held exclusively his very own UV rounds. The other magazine, which went to the ground inches from his feet was filled with a combination of two Silver, two UV, two Silver Nitrate, and so on. He searched around and made a target of a "supposed" male vampire (Alasdair.)
lolindent Stan, hopefully with no interruptions, fired three consecutive round in quick succession at the vampire's chest. They zoomed out of the long (longer than the gun itself) sound/flash suppressor. No fires exited the firearm from either exits, but a pop sound that guns usually did not make could be heard as the High-Velocity rounds exited the firearm. It broke the sound barrier hence the pop despite the silencer. Alasdair, if hit, would find himself in heaps of pain. The hollow-point of the bullets would break apart upon impact, creating claws and fragments that would help the spread of the UV itself. Whilst the spread of the fragments and claws of the bullets itself would make it increasingly difficult if not too difficult to remove without modern medical equipment.

((The pops wouldn't be heard until after the bullets finished off 85% of it's flight towards it's intended target.))
