Arlen sighed and turned to face her. "I'm," he started as gust of frigid air flew through the open window, causing him to shiver while his teeth chattered.

Lily frowned, letting go of him to close the window, struggling with it a moment before managing to do so. Then she went back to him, laying a hand on his forehead to check for a fever. "Sweetheart, maybe you should lie down... you might be getting sick..."

"I'm alright," Arlen said, his shivering stopping, but his eyes remained on the window. His heart sank as he saw the frost forming on the glass.

"Why..." Lily bit her lower lip, stepping back. "Why won't you tell me what's wrong?" she asked quietly. "I... I thought that... that you trusted me..."

"I do trust you," Arlen said looking to Lily worriedly. "I love you more than everything Lily, but look at that," he said, pointing to the window which was almost covered in frost. "I need to see what's going on."

"Fine." Lily murmured, looking to the frost, still sure that he knew more than he was letting on, terribly worried for him. "Go." she turned away from him, arms wrapped around herself, ears drooped.

Arlen gave Lily a fierce hug and kiss before running downstairs. If he was right he would never see her again.
Outside the Muffin, Crystal waited, pouring more magic out to turn the area around the Muffin as cold as the dead of winter.

Lily, for reasons that she didn't understand, felt terribly bereaved and sad. He wouldn't talk to her, and something was going on... she just knew it... crying, she threw herself onto the bed, waiting for his return anxiously so they could talk it out.

Arlen walked through the main room of the Muffin, steeling himself for what was undoubtedly to come. Walking to the door, he grabbed the handle and threw it open, bracing himself against the blast of icy cold air that blew in. "What do you want?" he demanded of Crystal. "You won't capture me."
"I'm not here to capture you," Crystal sneered at Arlen, the ground between the two freezing over. "I'm here to kill you!"

River sat quiet, slowly getting up with the Doll in her hands. She wanted to go to him and give it to him- If he did not see himself in it he was blind. "Its alright." She said to herself Looking over Kaden with a smile. He bounced off the bed with luster and held the puppet dear to him as he walked towards the door. "Lets go, Lets go!" He chirped opening the door and stepping out.
"What am I going to do with you?..." River smiled and shook her head closing her Bedroom door and walking slowly down the stairs. It was weird she had this feeling that something was dangerously off.

Lily, completely unaware of what was going on, sure that the frost was just some sort of strange fluke as it had been a bit chilly, didn't move from her spot on the bed. She continued crying, not even standing to look out the window to see if she could spot him, though she was terribly tempted to.

"Hello?" Kaden called down the hallway upstairs as River made her way down them. " Is someone there?" Kaden called out, he could of sworn he heard someone up there, was there or was it his mind? Who knew he slowly walked back to Rivers room and stopped by the door to check if it was him.
"..." River paused down stairs Eyes narrowing in a dangerous manner. Whatever the cold was coming from it wasn't coming from the weather and it was too frigid for River to even approch the door, for that matter. "Stupid people, what do they have against the muffin?" She spat harshly to herself as she walked towards the coffee pot with a sigh.

"I'd like to see you try," Arlen shouted at Crystal, oblivious to River coming downstairs as he jumped out side, skidding as he landed on the ice and taking a swing at Crystal as he closed in on her.
Crystal for her part laughed derisively as she calmly stepped back from the punch and watched Arlen stumble as the ice ran out and the ground returned. "Fool," she mocked him snidely. "You stand no chance."

Lily heard someone calling from the hall, but... but she couldn't make herself get up. She was too heart sore, too worried about her fiance. "Oh Arlen..." she whispered into her pillow, sobbing.

"Good-god come on people it's starting to get cold inside the Place." River growled darkly, "I will rip whatever poor soul is doing this, Head off if I find out who is doing this." Hissed River in hate as she walked coffee in hand towards the fire place to start it. What a long night this was going to be, wasn't it?
Kaden waddled closer to the door where the sound emitted from and frowned. "Hello?" He asked just beyond it- little as he may be he was no fool." Are you alright in there? Hello?" Came kadens soft voice the door making it sound lower then it really was, his blue eye dancing across the wood in awe.
