A flash of light struck the ground between the two dueling beasts. A single daggar sticks out of the ground. the thin whisps of a monomolecular net drifting from the handle.
Zeroki had heard the commotion, and decided to step in. He stands on the edge of a rooftop above them, a glimmering daggar in each hand.

"One move from either of you and it's a painfull death. There are people nearby, and you might scare away my food"

((Kind of a private fight here dude, plus they're in a dark secluded alley deep into the network of alleys, where nobody but unconcious drug-abusers venture, what food could they scare away?))

((I was bored!!! What do you expect me to do, just sit there all my life? XD
Besides, I'm a hunter))

((Oh fine XD))

Luther grinned even wider, and said "Ahhh, another player in the great game, I can tell by the fact that you're willing to kill both of us you're either a hunter or a Tainted, and you look too puny to be a Tainted." He yawned, and said "By the fact there's seemingly nothing to stop me from tearing out your throat, I am going to presume there is something stopping me. And seeing as I have been around for a long time I can tell that phasing through the air and onto the wall is the smartest move I can make." Without a second further his body melted into Mist, and drifted upwards. He buried two of his hands into the brick, of the opposing wall, keeping him above the ground by around twenty feet. He could also see the Hunter in case he made any quick movements.

Zeroki cassually tosses the daggar in his left hand at the wall the mist was clinging too. He drops the one in his right hand at his feet. Although the daggars themselves and the now completed net of wires could do nothing to directly harm the vampire in it's mist state, he was fairly confident that his plan would work.

"You are a much older vampire than I am, and you have much more skill than I do, but I have something you do not..."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:50 pm

"Sexual Inadequacy?" Luther asked mockingly, his voice nearly a hiss in his mist form. He liked to jibe his enemies, it made it so much more fun when he silenced them. He climbed higher, maintaining his mist form he let his eyes glow a deep amber, he decided to play fair and let the nice Hunter see his eyes for what they were, and what malevolence they possessed. He reached the top of the building, and gasped with mock horror, "Now I see the full features of mine enemy, surely I am doomed!" He grinned, and said "When Satan ice-skates to work" He threw a dart made of shadows, and accompanied it with a massive ball of shadows, coated with spikes.

"Satan just bought some mittens..."

With a sly grin, Zeroki triggers the device hidden behind his back. A massive amount of electricity, easyly enough to kill a mortal human, bursts through the net of wires. Zeroki knows that his opponet was a voidmaster, and he knows that voidmasters, without darkness around them, are nearly powerless.
The sudden burst of electricity would shatter his opponets controll of the projectiles, and even force him out of his mist state. All zero needed to do was roll out of the way. As an added bonus, the shock makes the net of wires glow white-hot, lighting up the alley like a christmas tree, removeing all the shadows in the area.

((Goodnight))

Simi-chan

Deceit and lies were things that Hideyo, like Alasdair, had encountered and dealt with her entire life. There was absolutely no avoiding them whether or not you were powerful and well known or whether you were the most pathetic of lowly peasants in other's eyes so long as they could manipulate the circumstances to their advantage. It didn't matter to other people what you were like so long as they could somehow use you then they would plant their intents and seal them with their vile thoughts. She'd eventually learnt through time how to deal with such wolves in sheeps' clothing and it often had to do with the sheeps' wool being dyed red in colour. More often than not, it was the only way to safeguard oneself against the cruelty of the world and greed of others that consumed them to the point they'd abandon everything and everyone but those who could further them to their objective. And once the person had been brought closer to their objective and found their host was no longer of use, they would simply cast them aside as if they were nothing.

Hideyo had heard a few of their final comments and words from the seemingly unfitting duo, having stationed herself as an eavesdropper and observer from afar but she hadn't been highly concerned with what they'd said. She merely wished to see their true natures and it was best to know someone else's true nature when they thought they were in the safe zone where no one could touch them. That was when their true colours showed and that was when the act abruptly ended and the actors on the stage became who they really were, the greedy, insolent fools who would be no where without those that'd hired them. She wondered, though, where their safe zones were and how she'd manage slipping into the boundaries of such a place to truly glimpse all these actors and actresses.

For now, Hideyo didn't have to play the game of lies and deception, for now she could simply gather information and slowly string it together to discover what the final result of it was. She had no reason to hide anything so she'd decided to approach this vampire whom was obviously aged for his mannerisms were very delicate and reserved. Of course, she was no fool and realized that this vampire had potential and that he was nothing short of powerful and dangerous. However, when she thought of that it wasn't fear that coursed through her, it was excitement at what the future would bring as well as a little curiousity and caution, though caution was always there to accompany her analytical nature. She sometimes became too involved in her research and it could sometimes backfire on her so through the many years she'd naturally developed her subtle but effective perks that got her the information she needed usually.

Hm, so this vampire actually had a side to him that managed to appreciate the beauty that the sickened world still managed to hold onto. It was nice to know that there were still some people out there who remembered just how truly beautiful a place this was and to savour it while it lasted. Naturally, she didn't object to his suggestion and she nodded her approval to his prior comment and followed after him. Her jump was executed with the perfection of a honed warrior that had the ability to do so but also with the perfection of an artist or dancer, that moved fluidly through the air. Her auburn hair seemed to dance as she took her flight and her small grin of delight wasn't difficult to catch as she rose upward and landed on the rooftop in a crouched position.

It was apparent from how she'd jumped that she was no mere child that'd been bitten by a vampire and was now running rampant around New York struggling to find her place. No, everything she did was with purpose and reason, she was calm and calculated and there was a serenity about her that almost intoxicated and often caused people to be distracted by the fact that she could be just as deadly and flamboyant as she could be serene. She slowly rose from her crouched stance to stand up perfectly straight to face the vampire that'd brought her up here. As always, caution was with her while she assessed this vampire and also made some connections in this city. "Hm," she decided to comment, "the heavens are cloudy tonight and yet they still manage to sustain such beauty. Why is it that artists so often choose to have their night-time backgrounds with stars when the whisps of the clouds on a starless night are equally as divine?"

Such intricate movements where truly a lost art, and art that very few vampires in New York city where gifted with. Other than present company, there were maybe two vampires more that he had seen make such a high jump with such grace. It was apparent now that this female was not fledgling, but of course Alasdair had already felt that the female’s power was far beyond a mere newborn. No recently made vampire could have concealed itself as she had, and no weakling could have such calm power.

It seemed that the diamond in the rough had actually managed to find him. It seemed that meeting those conniving and soon to be fully dead vampires had finally brought its benefit. Having henchmen did not really matter when it came to a strong companion. Alasdair would prefer a million times to have a dozen Veroens, or a dozen Devilboys rather than a million of his lackeys.

Maybe this girl was going to be by his side. The vampire was getting ahead of himself; he knew nothing of the woman. He knew nothing of her true face, after all everyone wore masks. He wanted to know how much the woman’s mask truly hid. But he was taken by the slight demonstration of her skills.

They had reached the building together, but it was still too low for the sky to be taken as it should. The clouded sky was like a tapestry. It has to be admired from the perfect distance or else the true beauty would be missed.

So Alasdair then began to dash across the five story building. It was a short dash before he leaped out of the building an onto a ten story building that followed. He knew that the female vampire could keep up with his increasing speed, which was not even half of his true power. But he dashed across the other building and stopped for a second on the edge of the building. He looked back to the girl and smiled. “That is because the mortals look upon the clouded sky and think they are hopelessly lost without their sparkles.” He replied to the vampire and then looked up to a hundred story office building before him. He grinned as he looked back to the girl. The instant after looking at the girl, he bent his knees and with a bit more power he darted to the roof of the building.

Alasdair landed on the roof of the building safely, then looked back to the girl. “They don’t know that beauty in the dark.”

Hideyo was not at all intimidated by the fact that a vampire that could very well be equal to her in skill and wisdom was spectating her every move from above as she made her way up the building. She was no fool and she certainly wasn't oblivious to her surroundings or else she wouldn't be here. Everything, all her habits, were from life lessons that she'd learnt early on in her life as a human. She'd become a hardened war veteran after a fairly short period of time for most and the fact that she'd been a woman had amazed all of the men in her original time period. However, such days were gone and all that remained was her preserved self and the skills that she'd obtained and honed hundreds of years ago and continued to hone and sharpen in the current time period.

As for wearing a mask, Hideyo wore no mask at all, Alasdair simply knew nothing about her for he'd never met her before. However, if he gave her reason not to trust him then all too soon he would find that he was faced with a person that possessed a mask. For now, though, she had nothing to hide. Alasdair simply didn't know anything about her for he hadn't asked or inquired her as to who she was or other such petty details to make small talk and discover more about a person at the same time. Even the manner in which people spoke was important for it sometimes qued someone right away as to whether or not the person was to be trusted. However, hasty judgements like that were often incorrect as well.

Joining him or rather being by his side was a commitment that was unlikely to happen seeing as she knew nothing about him just as he knew nothing about her. Yet another reason she was possibly out of his reach was simply because she did not enjoy being tied down, she needed to be free and able to spread her wings as she pleased. Cages would not do for such ambition and determination would surely have dire side effects if not absolutely horrifying side effects. However, becoming a possible ally and friend wasn't out of the question though she never became too close to anyone for it was simply a code she'd issued herself early in life for it'd been one of her life lessons she'd been given early on.

Having been a former artist, Hideyo was able to find beauty in almost anything she happened to behold. A garbage can could be beautiful in her eyes and everyone else would merely scoff at her and say she was no artist until they saw her painting or drawing and discovered just what'd been going on with her mind. Then they would have a slight bit more faith in her the next time but she would be gone by the time they even got to see her next work. However, she decided to follow him despite the fact she could see the beauty in the sky as it was, after all, a little fun never hurt anyone even though she personally knew that statement was completely false and bogus.

Hideyo, yet again, flowed as though she were some celestial being or a clear current whose course was already defined and carved out for her and simply flowed up the buildings precisely on Alasdair's heels. She practically danced as she pursued him and when they finally came to a halt, she did not skid to stop, she merely flipped into the air to release her excess momentum and landed in another graceful crouch directly beside Alasdair. Her eyes were closed and it almost seemed as though she were in a meditative state but she soon broke the silence and responded to his prior comments with her intoxicating voice that flowed as beautifully as her movements, "Their sparkles are their currency and without currency they are in the streets where we pick them off so of course they find themselves lost without their precious sparkles. And beauty can be in all places, whether it be the darkness or the light, the end of the world or the beginning of it, or in death or life. It's simply what you make of it."

Seeing as Sibyl had been entirely focused on Luther as opposed to anything else, she really hadn't noticed Mikami staring her up. She more or less trusted Mikami with everything until he proved her wrong so she was going to rely heavily upon him as though he were a family member. Also because she'd been paying full attention to Luther, she'd been able to evade his shadow net maneuver and she'd been granted the chance to give chase straight away. That was something that Sibyl would certainly use to her advantage and as Mikami broke free from the net and distracted the vampire, Sibyl stealthily snuck around through another alleyway connecting to the one they were in so she would be able to trap the vampire between Mikami and herself.

Apparently the vampire had undergone a change of heart within a matter of minutes so she had no reason to reserve herself any longer. However, she allowed Mikami to distract the vampire along with the new comer that was apparently a hunter. After all, it'd be best to strike when it'd be the most opportune moment and the most opportune moment would be when Luther was not expecting it. Then again, so far he seemed to be occupied with more than his fair share of other obstacles so she decided to stick it out and wait to see what happened. Of course, if Mikami ended up getting into trouble, she'd expose and compromise herself in order to spare his life if it was necessary.

When the hunter unleashed the surge of electricity, despite the fact that she was hidden away from the top of the roof on that building, she still found herself flinching at the thought of being zapped by it. After all, Sibyl's biggest weakness was probably electricity since she possessed the heart of a true animal. And if her people were zapped with electricity then both their wolven and humanoid forms became extremely unstable to the point that they actually fell out of themselves. In other words, they became trapped between both forms, rendering them incorporeal and completely and utterly helpless.

Zeroki stood there, watching the lightshow, thinking to himself.
Wow... this might accually work...
He looks back over his sholder at a group of homeless people fleeing from the alleyways and into the main street.
There goes my dinner...
Zeroki's head snapped downward. His enhanced hearing had picked up something in the darkness at the end of the ally. He quickly draws another daggar from the pouch at his side.
"Who else is down there? Show yourself!"

Well I'm down here.. Spectra said
And I was going to help clean this city by eating those homeless people you just scared off... Spectra slowly walked down the alley, My name is Spectra young man and you are?...

"My name is Zeroki... Zeroki Arbalan..."
He lowers his daggar, though keeping it ready.
"What is it that you want?"

Sibyl simply continued to observe the spectacle of lights and laid back to wait for a moment that wasn't perfect but was at least good enough to surprise Luther with. However, that'd be a lot more difficult now since there were two extra bodies and both were not lycans so they'd more likely than not get in the way. Despite the inconvenience, though, Sibyl continued to wait in her hiding place. She was in the light so as not to alert Luther's little shadows as to where she was and she was ducked in a hidden place where neither the people in the alley would be able to see her. On top of that, she was completely silent, just lying there in waiting. Even her heart was quiet for it was next to impossible to hear and the beats were extremely slow, an ability she'd learnt long ago.

Mikami was more then furiouse to see another person step in the way of his fight. And it seamed it wouldnt be worth the trouble to kill them all. The vampire he was after was already out of reach. The hunter seamed distracted by somthing else. He took this chance to sniff the air and caught the scent of his leader. Taking the distraction to his advantage he quickly retearted away from the Hunter's. He made his way to his leader and silently stood behind her.

"Leader......I see you are unharmed. It looks as though were not the only ones after him. It is going to be quite bothersome if those hunter's get in our way. The fools have no idea that they are giving him the perfact chance to escape. What are your orders leader?"
