AcaciaDamia Scientific Explenation: when something gets really really cold really really fast it tends to break, I'm too lazy to explain the mechanics of it but I'm sure you understand what I'm talking about, being a fairly intelligent person yourself. oh, we just call that the demolition man clause.

If only they were paying cash to make him dead. I laugh now as Shouyin pays Custard under the table with his blood money. Using Alex as a hostage to get Enki to come out. Theatric Explanation: "Suddenly, daddy saves the day!" Scientific Explanation: "When objects reach an extremely low temperature they become so condensed and solid that they are very brittle. However, brittle does not mean it will break if you touch it to anything, it means that it won't bend or warp, it will just shatter if it is put under enough stress. You can stab someone with an icicle and it won't break, provided it's thick and cold enough. You still have to overcome the hardness.

themightyjello Enki Leviathan I never agreed to ANY conflicts. You referred to the exchange between Siat and Alex as a fight. If you'd have completely avoided it, nobody would argue with things like "I'm leaving" or "but Security comes to restrain Siat". But when you agree to an interaction with someone, you're agreeing to a lot of things. When you agree to hostility between people, you're agreeing to the potential for an assault and battery. Call this contradictory if you want, but my brain constantly contradicts itself... I also don't believe in cop-outs. If someone decides to be rude and approaches my character, I'd rather find other ways out of the retardedness...

Actually, a lot of harder materials including a lot of metals will just suddenly shatter if frozen very quickly...

[.. X ..] oh, we just call that the demolition man clause. Yeah... that one is totally bogus. However, the Alien 3 clause is much more accurate. Heating something incredibly fast can cause it to shatter as parts of it experience thermal expansion at an accelerated rate, while other parts don't. You end up getting the internal structure of an object pulling itself apart at the seams. Freezing things incredibly fast can produce similar effects... but only for things that expand when frozen. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is water. That is a result of the outside freezing first, then the inside freezing after and expanding; causing the internal pressure to rise and create cracks or breaks to reduce the internal pressure. Yeah... Say it Bill. themightyjello "The Backhand of Science."

For s**t like metal, freezing it won't do a lot. Heating it up will make it malleable.
Heating and cooling rapidly will usually distemper it and shatter/fracture/explode it. Speaking for steel, atleast.

@ Enki Conflict: "Don't start no s**t won't be no s**t." If you don't let it get started, there won't be a problem. If you get halfway in an decide you don't want to play that game, you're stuck with "play it through" or "cop out". themightyjello Item Name: The Ugly Stick Enchantments: Classified info, bitches. Appearance: A stick, roughly 34 inches long, weighing about 3 lbs. It's bent in some places, has a few visible knots, and hasn't had the bark stripped off, but it is generally straight and easy to hold. AcaciaDamia I would assume the force of the object hurtling through the air is what did it in this case 3nodding Air harder than tomahawk? Maybe if it was going like... a couple Mach factors higher.

I have a feeling I know what the enchantments are.
I thought Kraun was going to make a character around it, or something.
