Prometheus saw how Angel had "melted" into the shadows. "It's okay! It's just me." He said. Prometheus walked into the light so she could have a clear sight of him. "Soooo....... how are things going?"

((Angel?))
Amelia relaxed and then stepped back into the light. "How does this thing work?" She tossed the PDA he'd thrown at her back at him. "It's terribly bright by the way." She'd managed to turn it on just before she hit it against a tree to see what would happen, which distracted her from the whole tree beating spree.

((Sorry, I got mixed up with another RP sweatdrop ))
"Well, it's mainly for you to know where I am and vice versa." Prometheus stated. "And there is a scroll wheel on the side for brightness. It pings when we are in the same district, and it has a built in map." Prometheus took it, scrolled it to make it darker, and turned tracking on.

"Why should you use machines to tell you where people are? Can't you just smell them?" Amelia asked. She took the PDA out of his hands and started looking it over. "How does that all fit in there?!" She was looking for compartments for folded maps or something.

Promtheus was confused about her question. "I haven't used those senses in a long time, I almost forgot that I am a Lycan." ((hunters can be Lycans)) He just sat there, trying to remember what being a Lycan is like. "Well, we don't know exactly what they do to store all that, we just found one near a human part of the City."

Amelia giggled. She hadn't really laughed in awhile so it ended quickly. "That reminded me of housepets." She smiled. "You're 'tamed'. Whose pet are you?" The question just occured to her. Hunters usually work for somebody or something. Prometheus didn't seem to have a solid prejudice so he must be working for somebody. Her reasoning came to her quickly. "They must be terrible to make you forget that which would help you.

"I don't 'work' for anybody and I am noones pet!" Prometheus angrliy stood up. "I just did work for some people to get what I have today! It's not easy to be a hunter. Until they found out I was a Lycan. The others didn't like Lycans, so I turned rogue before they kiled me." Prometheus looked away. "Thats why I am here today...."

Alasdair

PostPosted: Sun Jun 22, 2008 7:38 pm

As expected the girl dodged the attack. The void master came down hard upon the ground, his hardened skin cracking the concrete tiles where he landed. As soon as his knee hit the ground, Alasdair smiled. He smiled only because he had missed Cosette, after all his only intention in this fight was to prove Luther’s drug. It would be great for lesser vampires to fight amongst themselves, but no surreal effect was taking place.

So as soon as Alasdair came crashing to the ground he looked up, his violet gaze met Cosette’s filthy body. He caught her before she got up. Since he was only kneeling he quickly got to his feet, his body facing his opponents. As soon as he was balanced on his feet he made a hard slash to his side, to the air. It was not an attack, merely returning to his stance with his sword outstretched to the right, as if a continuation of his arm.

The smile on his face quickly faded as his concentration returned to the girl. He saw the girl’s swift movement; there was no hesitation in him this time. He saw the woman approach; he was left with no other option but to let his body react. After centuries of battle his body knew only one thing to do, deliver the kill blow.

As soon as the girl was in reach, Alasdair’s arm moved on its own. It curled closer to his body, and then a firm thrust of his blade aimed at the girl’s neck. She was completely unguarded so it was easy for his blade to reach her neck, but he stopped before it would touch her- meaning that she had been defeated.

But as he held the blade to the girl, he felt the doubt of a boy about to make his first kill. It was hesitation that had not been felt by the vampire in over five centuries; it was the girl’s illusion. A slight shiver ran up the blade as his violet eyes looked in defiance at the girl’s light blue eyes. Then came the worst part, the noise; the infernal noise that only grew louder inside his head. He heard the buzzing of a crowded street; he heard the claxon of busses, trucks and cars.

It was almost unbearable, but he knew it was an illusion. Alasdair stood his ground, grit his teeth and tightened his grip on the sword. His eyes were of defiance, the yelled out that she was defeated. It would only take one swift move to end her immortal life; he wanted her to know that in his eyes.

"Oh," Amelia said softly. "I didn't know. Sorry." She looked down at the busy street below, she could smell the emotions of every creature down there. She could sense their next movement as if she could read minds. Her breathing slowed then stopped. She shifted her stance slightly, ready to attack and be gone with the kill instantly. Her claws extended and then her mind clicked from the physical sensation.
Amelia screamed and threw herself back from the edge of the roof. She sat down near the antenna, her pupils were thin, barely-visible slits and her eyes were glowing with her night vision. She shook her head and took deep breaths and her pupils slowly dialated back to an almost human round, her eyes stopped glowing and her claws retracted.
"I owe my current living habits to hunters." She said, her eyes turned to the moon. "I suppose this feeling is gratitude.........." Her eyes fell to prometheus. "Use your senses as often as you can, a domesticated animal can only do so much. The fact that you're using human devices instead of your natural abilites shows that you're still tame. Like a runaway cat who will come to you if you set out food for it." Her voice was quiet and about as noticable as a slight breeze from a passing car or person.

There was such a clear edge of determined defiance in his eyes, a deadly spark of knowledge of what Alasdair would rather do than be tormented and held still by the noise, But Cosette didn't care. What did matter to her was her conquer. She, essentially had won. The young lithe little blond had managed to put Alasdair to a vulnerable and abrupt pause. Of course, If Cosette had been better prepared, a better fighter; She might have used the moment of Alastair's tragic distraction to take advantage of him and make her victory much clearer; But it was before she graced a thought on that idea that the magnificent drug was beginning to wear off without her consent.
Cosette was too occupied to notice as she relished in her control and victory, ecstatic with a twisted, almost mad, out of place grin. She was so pleased with herself in what she had accomplished with those blue eyes barring into him, her psyche reaching to grasp farther into Alasdair's mind for something more traumatizing than her superficial illusion. Something that might provoke a reaction out of his defiant, bold figure.

In the flicker of an instant, Something changed on Cosette's self-assured face. Her grin dropped and that doll face went blank and ridged as though something horrid had just occurred to her. It was then that she felt the bonds snapping, each little thread Cosette had managed to form began pulling and fraying under the pressure. As her drug high began to diminish, her young unfocused mind swiftly began loosing it's hold and her victorious control slipped as Cosette grew aware of her own personal horribly unfiltered noise rushing back with vengeance. The dreadful roar, louder now than it ever seemed before thundered at her exhausted mind with angry evidence of overuse.
“It's over.” She muttered, distracted. It seemed that it was just then Cosette noticed the threatening blade at her throat. It set a careful edge to her as she detangled her hands from Alasdair's face only second before the last threads of her control snapped. Cosette was stumbling back, watching Alasdair with a weary eyes. Even though the fight was clearly over, She was fearful he would extract revenge after the mind games she had played.

Cosette knew she ought to have expected this, But she had been all too eager to feel the the high of power to consider the consequences. She felt so pathetic as she stumbled, clumsy stepping backwards, too frightened to put her back to Alasdair's so she could find Luther's protection. Her slow and sluggish movements weren't even the worst of it, It was the noisy migraine searing her head in that set her delicate figure with unease and exhaustion. In those moments, Cosette looked every bit the small fragile girl as her hands buried themselves in her golden curls to cup her head in a vain attempt to calm herself. She was beginning to feel light headed, tipsy on her small feet. Hoping to save herself the embarrassment of passing out or verbally expressing her distress, Cosette tried calling out to Luther with her broken mind, but she was so overwhelmed by the noise to grasp anything other than her own frantic, nearly panicking thoughts.

Alasdair saw the victorious smile on Cosette’s lips. She actually thought that she had beaten the void master with a simple illusion; it must be because she has yet to see and feel the blade against her throat. He grits his teeth a bit harder before he slowly began to feel the illusion fade. His violet remained defiantly glued to the girl’s blue eyes. He slowly saw her power slip away from her.

By the time that Cosette had fallen to the ground, Alasdair was out of her control. He closed his eyes and slowly sheathed his sword. He bowed respectfully at Cosette and took two steps back, away from her. He wanted to give her space; after all they had just been battling. He opened his eyes and smiled at her.

Luther quickly placed his hand on Cosette's shoulder, lightly so it wouldn't hurt but firm enough to keep her from collapsing. He grinned, and said "You did better than expected Cosette" He said simply, smiling to himself, "I need you more than ever now that I've seen how positively the Drug affects you, if I take some of the power from it and give it a longer duration it may be an adequate cure for your problem with noise." Without a word he quickly sliced his own wrist, and offered it to Cosette "Let's just say this is a reward" He said, laughing. He knew she would try to take too much again, that's why he had a less drastic way of taking it, he would simply slowly start to cut off the blood from the area she was drinking, enabling her to ease out of it at her own pace.

Prometheus turned back to her. "I-Im sorry...." He looked back at her. "I just get unstable sometimes, probably my senses trying to tell me that they are still there. I may not be a tainted, but I'm sure we can still get along." Prometheus reached up and took off his mask, something he hasn't done in a long time.

“Was that enough proof for you, Alasdair?” Her tone was level and cold, deprived of any telling hint of emotion. Cosette wasn't gracious enough to show Alasdair the same respect he bestowed upon her. Wishing she could tear that smile straight off his smug face, She simply stood there glaring at him with those weary blue eyes, occasionally twitching whenever a particularly loud noise slipped past her delicate hearing. The instant she felt Luther at her back, holding her steady with one firm hold on her slender shoulder; Cosette heaved a rather dramatic sigh of relief, strangely finding such comfort in a rather twisted, potentially very dangerous man.

Cosette liked the idea of a suggested cure for her poorly contained mental issues, but there was also the dreadful truth that she could quite possibly grow dependent on the drug for calm and silence; Become addicted to it just as surly as she was becoming needy for his strange, exotic and rich blood. It seemed of little consequence to her if she would no longer have to face the headaches, just preform as one of his test subjects. A shiver of pleasure ran down her spine as Luther proclaimed just how much more she was needed, a valuable asset. Cosette was positive that Luther realized just how elated it made her feel hearing such a thing, but the dreadful fact also set her on edge. Who was playing who now? His blood and fancy drugs were a grand leaver in his hold upon her. Currently, Luther clearly held the hand of control. She would have to level the score, figure out some way to set him trembling at her touch. Make it terribly clear he needed her just as much as she was in need of Luther.

There wasn't much time to ponder and scheme for ideas because it was all too soon the scent of Luther's blood graced the air, throughly distracting her and putting an abrupt halt to any further thoughts. It would have been downright imposable for Cosette to reject the offer, calling for all her attention as her fingers intertwined themselves around his arm and pulled the self-inflicted wound to her eager lips. She enjoyed it much more when she was able to cause the damage to his flesh; But as exhausted and tired as she was, She wasn't about to complain. Without a word, She clamped her mouth over his wrist, determined not to let any blood go wasted and take her fill.

Luther made sure to keep a firm grip on her whilst she was feeding, his Amber eyes slowly lighting up as he felt the blood being drained from him. This would cheer up Cosette, but at this stage in the game he wasn't sure who was manipulating the other, Cosette's mind games worked on him but he had a feeling his worked on her as well, leaving them in a state of being manioulated by each other. It worked out well, as it turned out. He clenched his teeth as the blood was drained, but started talking "I think you'll find that my Drug worked better than expected, Alasdair, I had every confidence that Cosette could hold her own against you, and by the end I was nearly convinced she would." He grinned and said "But please remember that Cosette may be many good things but a fighter she is not, if it were me who took the drug that battle would have probably lasted quite a while longer."

Alasdair

PostPosted: Mon Jun 23, 2008 12:26 pm

The smile that plagued Alasdair’s lips quickly transformed into a self gratifying grin as he saw Cosette take Luther’s wrist in salvation. Alasdair had not even broken a sweat in the battle, well truth be told he still had a mild headache from the hellish racket in his head. So with eagerness his violet eyes moved from Cosette to Luther, after the self assured comment. “You are welcomed to try it Doctor…” Alasdair replied with a smug grin on his lips. It was probably true that Luther would be a much better match than Cosette, but Alasdair needed to keep his power.

The vampire then took a few steps backwards, towards the fountain. He kept his eyes on the pair even after reaching the fountain, and what Alasdair did in the fountain was a simple and human thing to do- he sat on the wet edge of the large fountain. He wanted to give the appearance that he was at least a bit out of breath, even if he was not.
