"Well... the whole reason my day off got cancelled was that MoonFeather, the poor boy, hit puberty, and for some reason all his potential power... came to bare. We were expecting him to make journeyman before, but now he's headed towards Adept. Which is good, as he'll be the first Adept to actually come out of the vale in at least a generation.
"But that's not my problem. It's just... The Vale's council of elders have been steadily pissing me off the last year, and they just... managed to irk me even more last night. It feels like... they expect me to be a Tayledras, and they think I'm doing the entire vale a disservice by trying to stay myself."
