Haha I guess both are certainly possible.
Yeah, that line gives it better closure.
It would certainly make for an interesting story.

I don't know much about Conan.... But I do know violence.
Anyway, yeah. I've seen models of various asteroid scenarios. I think an asteroid the size of a house would have the same amount of destructive force as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. An asteroid about the size of a tall building would have enough force to level a large American city, devestating everything up to 1000 miles out. If it were any more than a mile in diameter, it would probably destroy most life on the planet were it to hit. It would devestate an entire country and throw up clouds of dust that would cover the entire planet and block out the sun. Something like that landing in the ocean would completely annihilate coastal areas.
And in the best case scenario, that it merely passes by the Earth, Clockwork is right. It will no doubt mess up the tides. Coupled with the magnetic shifts that are taking place, it could drastically change weather patterns.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think about how that would affect the climate. Dang.
If it did create a clouds of dust, we would have a slow death. Plants would die within a week, there goes out food supply.
Random side note: I titled the drawing Tales of Ascension not A Tale of Ascension...I hope that's not a problem because it's already in ink. XD

Okay, a brief rundown of a Hyperborianesque world.
It is after atlantis has sank into the sea, but before egypt and greece and even sumeria.
There is a few places that have ironworking, but a lot of places use bronze and copper or just stone. It is basically just like a couple ages before your average fantasy. Many of the monsters are really just normal animals, tigers, gorillas, angry big animals that really can kill people and to those who don't know what they are, would be monsters.
Then there are the real monsters, giant snakes, unspeakable horrors, abominations summoned by wizards and sorcerers. a bunch of stuff like that.
Then it is just a bunch of nations at war, superstition, treachery, piracy.
It's just like Look at the world as people from back then would really look at it, and the horror people would feel at facing the world. Driven by gods, and wars fought for no real reason......
Seriously though.... Robert E. Howard is just too cool for school....
This asteroid is like a third of a mile....

Thanks Ron smile
201277 what? Miles?
I am terrible with names, I always draw them from real life, usually books.
Hmm where did you get the idea for that, Omega?

Hyperboria?
Conan The Barbarian. Stories written by Robert E. Howard in the 1920-30s before he killed himself. The world he made is really big and complete....
I was thinking about doing something along those lines, yet changed up with my own twists.....

Oh I see, very cool.
On another side note: I live in a dorm and I was just walking down the hall past these group of guys twice and each time they stopped talking and laughed when I passed. I tell myself it's nothing but...Meh whatever.

Well if someone laughs at you again spin on them and declare
"I am Gorgothalazag the breaker of sphincters and I will devour your corpse after i cut off your nipples and and stuff your lungs with leeches! Tremble before the glory of ME! I WILL END YOU COCKSUCKERS!"
Or just laugh back at them. only really loud and obnoxiously.....
I am so glad that i am a hermit..... i don't have to deal with people....
