When the boy's hair was close enough, the baby's arms moved and managed to grasp some of the strands with his hands. Upon his success, he began giggled softly and tugged a bit at Higure's hair. For a five month old, he had a good grip and being unaware of his strength, it might be a little painful for Higure. Knowing Suzume would not need his help, Cloud sat down by Higure to help keep watch over Shin'ichi.
As they headed out of the dojo, Suzume kept her bokken at her left side, right over her real sword. Her hand would hold it and act as a sort of sheath since this bokken came without one. The other's arrogance was annoying, but she would take the first move. Suzume would rush forward, hand on her blade as if to draw, but when she was close enough, she instead delivered a sweeping kick at Kyo's kneecaps to try sweeping him off his feet and send him to the ground.

Kyoishi was in his normal taijustu stance as she charged head on like a rhino at him. "Is she really going to get close? i am so winning this!" When she got close enough, the child jumped up; a pounce almost and propelled off the ground not to high but in a circular motion to spin kick her head and knock her back.
Even if the other pulled back, Shin would hand on tight and not let go. Seeing Higure's discomfort, Cloud would shake his head before leaning in to lick at the baby's cheek. This would cause the baby to laugh, letting go so that he could shield himself with his arms from the dog's tongue.
Watching the other move, Suzume could guess that the other had at least some training in Taijutsu. Bukijutsu versus Taijutsu would be an interesting match, she'd have to play it carefully. Especially since he did appear to have a canine companion fight with him. Yet his victory would not come so easily. Sticking to basics, Suzume simply stepped back to avoid his spin kick. Then once that passed, she'd step back in and "draw" her sword in the movements of Iado.
She'd go for a horizontal slash to his torso, trying to get him in the air or as he was landing so that he would have a harder time dodging. Her sword would aim for his arm or side to give him a good, hard whack with the bokken.

Kyo gritted his teeth once his kick missed by mere centimeters and luck. He landed, one foot infront of the other while she swung towards his side and he moved just as fast as she could. His right arm crossed to the left side, hand going flat but pointing his fingers up, his other arm bracing for impact also with his forearm. The hand and forearm would be hit but only a slight bruise could be ever felt, the forearm was a defensive use in a spar along with the front of his hand, now the hand seemed to feel a bit more pain but his forearm gladly took most of the hit. If she was too slow and didn't expect such a defense then his hand would be able to grab the wooden sword and hold her there long enough to kick at her side hard. Kyo wasn't trained in weak and princess type of taijustu styles, he had the most dangerous set and he had trouble not using them in a simple spar; he even had to keep his own strength down from hurting others.
If he cold not grab the wooden sword then he was able to be tripped but her hands were occupied and if she merely backed up again, he could push off the with his other foot and go for another kick to her; something even she couldn't dodge so easily.
"No worries kid, you looked like you needed some help." replied Cloud, shrugging slightly before sitting down next to the other. Shin wouldn't do much more, except try to reach up for Higure's hair once again since he acted so funny when he did it before.
If she used a real sword he wouldn't catch it. Then again, if she had and he did this, perhaps it was best she used a bokken. Letting him grab it, she could already guess that he would retaliate. One thing Suzume had that helped was both speed and reflexes. Holding the bokken with both hands now, she'd step to Kyo's right while tilting and pushing Kyo's end of the bokken to the left. Not only would it be her way to dodge the full blow of his side kick, but she hoped to push him to a side that would help put him off balance.
Off balance or not, she'd return with a side kick to his knee. Disabling one leg would certainly put him off his game, affecting his movement and his ability to use kick attacks.

Watching Kyo leave, she couldn't help but notice how juvenile that seemed. Sighing, she returned to Higure and Cloud and said "The spar is over." Reaching into her bag that she'd left with Higure, she'd written something on a piece of paper and handed it to him. "Its a voucher. Technically you completed a mission for me, so you can turn this in to get money and advancement credit." When the other relinquished her child, she picked up the bag and such before saying "If you like, you can also request to be my student and be assigned to me officially. But that's up to you." If he wanted, they could even form a squad of sorts.

Igarashi entered the Dojo sporting her new headband. she squeed a little with joy and hugged Renji, who only replied with what sounded like a really low grumble. She then realized where she was and felt a little embarrassed and blushed slightly. Quickly standing she tried to act as if she did nothing and continued into the room. Sitting down on the side lines she looked around the room for anyone she might recognize. Renji layed down next to her his head layed perfectly on his folded front paws watching the room very cautiously keeping his ears alert for anything new.
Igarashi then began humming and patting her leg while she hummed. Renji looked at her from the side and sighed and rolled his eyes. Igarashi heard him and swatted him on the ear. "how dare you sigh at me while I'm humming." Renji let out a small growl but proceeded to keep a watchful eye out for things around them.
After meeting with Higure, Suzume had gone home to take care of her son and hire a babysitter to look after him. Cloud would hang around as well to make sure Shin'ichi would be taken care of properly. This would leave Suzume plenty of time to herself to train. There were some shinobi around, one with a shinobi pet of sorts that might make her a tamer of sorts. Not that it mattered much to Suzume, she would head to where the scrolls were kept and pick up the ones that had her styles. There was one style that she had yet to master and she would get it done now. It was time to refine her chakra control.

From what she could understand of the scroll, it would be the same as before with refining her control of chakra through bursts from different parts of her body. Suzume studied the information available to her on the scroll as she headed to a private training room in the dojo. Not that she didn't mind training with others, but it was nice to have a space to herself. After closing the door behind her, the red head set the scroll aside for now and stood in the middle of the room, gathering her chakra for the exercise.

Soon she would find that it had really been too long since she'd trained. Being laid up for months while pregnant and laid up while taking care of him. The red head certainly felt out of shape and her chakra control had gotten sloppy. Suzume could tell she had gotten sloppy, her control was less fine but she had to keep working to get it under control again. She just had to focus more as she used her techniques and expended chakra, to make sure not too much and not too little.

It was not long before this was proving strenuous for Suzume, just a bit and she could feel herself begin to sweat. Plenty of techniques to use, plenty to practice to refine her chakra control again. If she had more chakra then techniques like in the Shigure Soen would become less strenuous for her. Using ninjutsu was not her forte, but it would be a second thing that she could use. Bukijutsu and Taijutsu were something she could learn faster but her chakra control wasn't bad.

Slowly but surely, her chakra control was becoming much better. It was like an old skill left to rest, it just needed to be dusted off and used again for her to become adept at it again. Suzume would keep at it until she was too tired to go on for now. It was feeling drained of chakra and feeling her muscles start to get a good burn going from such a work out. Between those two things, she took a break to allow herself to recuperate for the time being.

Sitting against the wall, Suzume took the time to reflect a bit about her current situation. So far her son was doing well in his growth, but since his father had abandoned them, she would have to double her duties as a parent. Although she wasn't quite sure how to do that yet. If she was to provide, then she had to work, but then she would have to spend more time away from her son. Such a conundrum.. all she could really do was her best to set an example for Shin'ichi.

Stretching her shoulders and then stretching her arms above her head, Suzume yawned before coming back up to her feet. She was starting to feel better at the moment, so she would have to work harder. Suzume was doing well at the moment, refining her control and such, just pushing herself a bit harder and she would have it down. She could just feel a bit more chakra would come to her after she finished this training, then she would complete her mastering of Shigure Soen and move on to the rest.
