Somehow Keegan managed to get Themis back into his Pokeball without the Manectric getting hurt any further, and he looked over at Helios, not sure what to do now as he sunk to his knees. The Aggron let out an earth-shaking roar and it started to tromp towards the Ninetales, though it was suddenly overcome by paralysis and unable to move for the time being. Helios flicked an ear in annoyance and glared at his trainer. Now was not the time to fall to pieces! The intuitive fox made a mental note to set fire to that girl the next time he saw her - just because he was inside his Pokeball at the time of the incident didn't mean he was completely oblivious to everything that was going on around him, especially now that he'd evolved, and it infuriated the fox to see his normally brash and headstrong trainer reduced to a pathetic, quivering mass of jelly. Deciding to take matters into his own paws the fox dashed forward, an eerie purple glow encompassing his eyes as he sent a Confuse Ray at his much larger opponent. Already seething with anger because it was having trouble moving, the Aggron was easy prey to the effects of confusion and its roaring seemed to diminish until it was nothing more than a loud whimper. It apparently didn't like the cloudy feeling it got inside its head and it thrashed around violently, throwing itself through a decent-sized tree in the process. Helios chased after it, ready to throw another Flamethrower its way but had to duck as the better part of said tree was suddenly hurled at him, though he misjudged the angle of the branches and was swept backwards with the force of the skidding tree top.
"Alright, that's enough of that," came a sudden harsh, yet strangely familiar voice. "Pelipper, if you would be so kind as to use Water Gun?" There was a flash of light, though from where he knelt, Keegan couldn't see who had arrived on the scene. All he could do was hope that the Water Gun wasn't being directed at Helios, because that would be it. The Aggron had shaken off the confusion relatively quickly and had hefted the large branch he'd flung at Helios up in the air, tossing it out of the way so he could finish the Ninetales himself. He wasn't expecting to get a blast of water square in the back so powerful that it sent him staggering forward, nor for his new attacker to follow it up with an even stronger Water Pulse. Needless to say those two attacks alone were more than enough to take the Aggron down and it toppled to the ground, causing the earth to shake all around it. Panting heavily, Helios just stared at the fallen monster, nearly unable to believe that it had been about to take his head off. The fox snorted and slowly limped over to Keegan, who had hardly moved at all in the past several minutes. "I suggest you two had better leave, before I have to do something really drastic," the voice continued, and very quickly the Aggron was recalled and the two thieves were now running for the hills in what looked like a full retreat. Even with Helios gently nudging his shoulder Keegan remained rooted to the ground, feeling numb and having barely registered what had just happened. He could hear the sound of crunching gravel as whoever'd saved his a** just now approached him, chuckling softly. It was only when he spoke again did Keegan look up, finally broken free of his trance-like state. "You okay, Sonny?"
Keegan didn't say anything right away, and instead just nodded meekly. His heart was still racing though his blood felt as though it had turned to ice inside his veins. He blinked slowly, taking several slow, shaky deep breaths to try and get himself under control. "I... I'm fine," he mumbled, voice barely a whisper. "Th-thanks."
"No problem, Sonny," the tweed-clad, elderly chap from before chuckled heartily, extending an old, wrinkled and leathery hand for Keegan to grasp, which he did, and nearly effortlessly the old man pulled the redhead to his feet. "Those two were trouble, now weren't they? It's a good thing I stuck around." He reached into his pockets and pulled out a crinkled pack of cigarettes - oddly enough the same brand Keegan smoked. "Here Sonny, I think you need one of these."
Keegan stared at it for a moment before he forced a laugh and shook his head. "If you had your own," he started, pausing to light it and enjoy a long, soothing drag, "why were you asking me?"
The old man just laughed as he lit up one of his own and shrugged. "Just wonderin' if you would have been so kind as to share. And it's a good thing you did, too, 'cause I probably would have let those two rogues kick some sense into your young arse had you not." He too took a long drag and grinned cheekily at Keegan. For once Keegan had nothing to say in return and instead just threw back his head and laughed until he was in hysterics. What next?

"They need to be healed." That was all Crenu said as he placed his five pokeballs on the counter, not even giving Nurse Joy much of a chance to react. Her trusty partner Chansey was on the job though, and gathered them up expertly before the rolled away, putting them on a tray and taking them in back.
"No need to be so rude you know. You're pokemon will be ready shortly." She said with a rather cross expression, honestly, some people simply didn't know how to behave. But he and his friend did bring in that bunch of pokeballs just yesterday, so he couldn't be all bad. Another trainer came in to have their pokemon treated as well, so she switched thoughts and forgot about the blond trainer for now.
Ignoring the nurse Crenu continued to make his way to a wall where a series of computers where lined up. If he were going to do some research, now would be the perfect time. He waited for it to boot up, logging in to his computer at home from the foreign terminal and waiting a few moments more. Tch, I should get a laptop. Naw, screw that. I don't feel like lugging that around, I've got an efficient bundle already with no room for something like tha- His thoughts were cut off by the ping of the computer, a little Crenu sprite he'd designed tapping the screen to indicate that he was logged in to his terminal and was waiting. His desktop was just a dull gray, nice and simple. Extra things like backgrounds and and stuff were just useless flash, the only reason he even made the sprite was because he had been bored one day and had been reading up on computer programing, he was even thinking of destroying it. Crenu scrolled over a folder entitled poke files and opened it up, a window with three folders appearing. First was a file for Johto, then a file for Kanto, and then one for Hoenn. He clicked an empty spot and created a new folder which he would name Sinnoh. With that out of the way Crenu opened his Johto file, which opened to another page with tons of files that appeared to follow a numerical system. Let's see, number thirty one I believe... After a few moments of loading a picture of a red pokemon with six limbs and a yellow abdomen appeared, followed by tons of information and preceded by what appeared to be the pokemon's name. Ledian? Hmm, off by two. I've been slacking off indeed. Goign back, he went two files over and opened up number thirty three. Ah, Ariados. Species, Long Leg Pokemon, Bug/Poison... He continued to scroll down, skimming the information he'd gathered even though he already memorized most of it until he got to the known attacks. "Night Shade...Fury Swipes...Spider Web..hmm." He all of the moves were ones that he knew, so it wasn't that he'd forgotten any old ones. Maybe it had been an egg move then. "Psybeam...Sonicboom...Signal Beam..no not here either." All moves listed were ones that he knew, and none of them would come close to resembling that shadow move that Ariados had used in that fight against Ky. And it sure wasn't any of the listed TMs either, he didn't even need to check those since he'd only given her one. So, it was like that old windbag had said at the festival yesterday. Pokemon were learning new dormant moves from the Sinnoh region after all. But what were these moves? Crenu minimized the files and opened up the internet browser. "Good a place as any...Ariados move list." He said quietly as he typed it into the search bar, takign him to several hits on the search engine. Baton Pass...Leech life...Scary fa- damn it, I know this stuff already! Crenu was getting upset, this was proving to be more difficult that he thought. As he thought about it, the internet might not have been such a good choice anyway. He could try looking up Sinnoh moves, but with the concept being relatively new to people outside of sinnoh and the internet filled with the speculations of ignorant bozos it was likely that any info he got might not be trustworthy. Damn it, he'd have to figure out a better way. Whatever, that didn't matter now. Nos use trying to count on unpracticed moves anyway. Crenu set up his terminal to run an auto search an all things related to Sinnoh and his current pokemon for the next time that he logged in, he'd sift through that load of data when he had more time. Logging off he left the computer, making his way back to the counter of the poke center.
"Your pokemon have been ready for some time now Sir. Your Poliwhirl was particularly exhausted, please to be careful and make sure to take better care of your pokemon." She expressed with concern, handing Crenu his pokeballs.
Crenu ignored her again as he clipped the pokeballs onto his belt, then turned, placing an unlit cigarette in between his lips. "I raise my pokemon my way, simply as that. If they don't like it they can get the hell out anytime they want." Back turned to Nurse Joy, Crenu left the center, lighting his smoke and inhaling deeply, letting out a steady stream of smoke as he walked towards the train station.

Kenneth awoke with a grunt. A series of rapid blinks dispelled sleep’s fog from his eyes until finally, the teenager’s watery vision slid into focus.
Red eyes stared into steel-blue ones, steadfastly vigilant.
“Eh…hey there Gator,” Kenneth groused. “Are you, um…Are you feeling better?”
“Toh, toh,” the reptilian Pokemon affirmed, nodding.
“Good…that’s good to hear.” He cast a glance to either side. When his gaze settled back on the Totodile, Kenneth scowled. “So would you mind getting off me?”
“T-toh?” Gator’s eyes widened. He scurried backwards off of Kenneth’s chest and bounded onto the floor. He turned to give his trainer an apologetic look as the teenager heaved himself up off the couch and straightened his rumpled t-shirt and jean jacket.
Kenneth stood, briefly locking gazes with his Pokemon. His lips twisted further in exasperation. “What’re you looking all mopey for?”
Gator blinked, perking up and staring bemusedly at his trainer. He wasn’t mad? The Pokemon was sure that had been an angry scowl…that and the grumpy teenager’s track record didn’t exactly mark him as forgiving of violations of his personal space…
“You coming or what, space cadet? C’mon, we have to make it to Oreburgh sometime.”
“Toh!” Gator shook himself out of his reverie and trotted after his trainer, a toothy grin splitting his wide maw.
“Oh, sir?”
Kenneth stiffened, his teeth clenching as Nurse Joy’s voice sounded behind him. He was two steps away from the Pokecenter’s door, too…he fisted his hand around the straps of his backpack.
“Did you see who took the map?”
“Eh?” Kenneth half-turned, looking over his shoulder at the pink-haired nurse with a lazy, unconcerned gaze. “What map?”
“That Town Map that was hanging above the sofa…Someone came in and took it while you were sleeping!”
He turned a little more towards her; if his demeanor stayed too distant at that point, she might suspect something. “Really? Wow, I didn’t notice anyone.” He scratched the base of his sleep-mussed blond ponytail, offering the Pokemon nurse a mildly bemused look. “Sorry. Guess I was out like a light, huh?”
The woman’s fuchsia pigtails bobbed as she sighed. “It’s alright,” she said, heavy-hearted. “You looked like you needed the rest. I suppose we’ll just get another. What a terrible thing, someone just taking a fixture off the wall like that.” She sighed again. “Thank you for your visit,” she said, giving a half-hearted bow. “Come again.”
Kenneth nodded at the nurse and made his way out the door, his Totodile on his heels. He slung the backpack onto his compact frame and headed away from the Pokecenter at a ground-eating walk. Yet with every step, his shoulders hunched just a bit more.
Go and make me feel all guilty about it, will you, he grumbled to himself. Jeez. She may be an airhead, but at least she means well. His thoughts strayed to the stolen map tucked securely in his backpack. It’ll all add up in the end, though. Doing this means less money I have to spend, which means I can pay Mom back sooner. She can’t afford to just off money on me like that. He nodded to himself, his pace picking up with new conviction. It’ll all be worth it in the end.

"Don't worry Metang, just do your best, all right?" Jaeshan whispered to Metang as the referee signaled the start of the match. Jaeshan felt a certain sense of pride as he stuck to his original strategy, suddenly not caring even if they happened to lose. So what if they did; it just meant they'd have to try again. Brawly didn't hesitate to get the battle underway and soon the Handstand Pokemon was spinning towards Metang at a blinding speed. Jaeshan was about to call out to Metang to go on the defensive, but the Iron Claw Pokemon already seemed to know what to do. He brought up both of his strong arms and held them in an x-pattern as the Hitmontop's powerful legs lashed out at him and he took the attack, blocking it as best he could. Each hit stung more than the last but Metang didn't flinch, instead he did his best to remain strong for Jaeshan.
"Nice going, Metang!" Jaeshan cheered, impressed by his Pokemon's sudden defensive maneuver. "Now quick, fight back with a Confusion!" Just as quickly as he'd raised his hands to defend he swung them back out with a sweeping motion, sending out a strong blast of psychic energy at the Hitmontop.

Hitmontop, who had just finished up his offensive strike, had not time to react to the Metang's counter attack. The wave of psychic energy washed over him, sending Hitmontop spinning back wildly and nearly knocking him off his head, but with an impressive show of balance and guts the Handstand Pokemon managed to stay on his head spike, teetering in place as he clenched his round ball like fists tightly and gritted his teeth. the mental attack was especially savage on him, but Hitmontop was able to successfully keep the enemy's attack from scrambling his brain and remained focused on the battle. "That was a mighty effective attack, but I guess that's expected with a psychic type right?" Brawly spoke with a light tone and a grin on his face, but that didn't mean he was taking things lightly. Even though he was smiling, it was still clear that he was into the match and fired up for a fight, something that his pokemon showed with a penetrating glare that he was shooting at Metang. "Alright then buddy, let's show 'em that we can deal some knock out blows to. Hitmontop use Dig!" Brawly was an experienced trainer who knew fully well the advantages and disadvantages of his preferred pokemon type, after all it was the duty of a gym leader to be able to compensate for things like type differences and let their pokemon's power shine through. And this was the type of move that specialized in catching opponents by surprise. Not exactly in line with his direct attack style, but it was close enough. Hitmontop appeared to grin before rolling over to his feet, leaping up high into the air and coming down hard, spinning at incredible speeds as his head burrowed into the ground like a drill. Hitmontop disappearing in a deep black hole into the ground below the gym where he moved secretly, waiting for an opening to strike when the next turn came around. "Heh heh, alright Jaeshan, let's see you handle this turn of events!"

Sasha felt herself twitch in annoyance when Maz tried to find some fabled common ground between the two by trying to sound French, butchering it horribly. She didn't know why she followed him outside, it would have been so much easier to turn, run and hide. He'd sexually assaulted her twice in under a minute, and become increasingly irritating as the conversation went on. What was he talking about now-his scarf? Jesus, really? Like, seriously? "Mon Dieu, me tuer maintenant. Je ne sais pas combien de ce je peux prendre." Where was Kirsa when you needed her? She would have just kung fu'd this clown and that would have been the last of it.
Ampoule, while not as frustrated as her trainer, was getting a little tired of this boy's constant jabbering. His mouth just didn't stop moving. Were all human males like this?
After an unsurprisingly flashy move, Maz released an equally bizarre looking Pokemon. "Shiftry: the Wicked Pokemon." her Pokedex chimed in his newly programmed voice, similar to that of a typical French butler. "Mademoiselle, Shiftry is a mysterious Pokémon that is said to live atop towering trees dating back over a thousand years. It creates terrific windstorms with the fans it holds. It is of the Dark and Grass type elements."
"Manifique." groaned Sasha, flipping her machine shut. "Alright Ampoule, mettons-nous cela a commencé avec un Cag-" "Ooh, Fake Out!" Maz interjected. "Vous morceau de merde!" In a cloud of dust, the Shiftry disappeared, reappearing seconds later to slam a wooden fist into Ampoule's face. The Lanturn's eyes crossed rather comically, and her tongue stuck out as the Wicked Pokemon's fist impacted with her skull. The sudden force behind the attack disoriented her, and by the time her vision was back, the opposing Pokemon was already back on the other side.
Sasha kicked the ground, a small patch of dust shooting into the air before fading into nothingness.

Kirsa finally managed to convince Rolf to settle down and stop trying to wrestle Hans, making the two canines stand a little ways apart from one another. Kirsa herself stood between the two but off to the side, so she could give out commands and observe. Now that they were done with the buffoonery (hopefully), they could get down to business.
"Okay. Hans, you are on the defensive, try to dodge the attacks." The Houndour nods to show he understands and shifts his position a bit. "Good. Okay, Rolf.." Kirsa paused to consult her Pokedex, looking at the list of moves the Poochyena had. "..Use Tackle." Rolf didn't waste any time in darting forward, launching himself in an almost comical manner at the Houndour - who just barely managed to scuttle out of the way in time, causing Rolf to faceplant into the ground like some sort of furry gray meteorite. Hans bristled and wanted to counter, but Kirsa had said he was supposed to practice dodging. Damn.
"Rolf, do a Sand Attack!" Well that wouldn't be hard, considering the Poochyena had just practically done it to himself. Rolf scrambled up to his feet and proceeded to shake himself off, sending sand flying everywhere. Then he just stood there, looking pleased as punch. Kirsa covered her eyes with a hand, and Hans seemed to share her sentiment. "..Nein, that's not - do it properly!" This was going to be a long day.

The Pokeball stopped shaking, and the red light went off. The Pidgey was caught. "YES!!!" Dakra screamed, lifting the ball up in succses. He let the Pidgey out, and looked at it. The Pidgey was a little unhappy about being caught, but cheered up as soon as Dakra picked it up. "Now...how do I...err...tell if your a boy or girl..." Dakra wondered aloud. He desided to let Nurse Joy have a look. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the Pokemon Center Nurse Joy came back with the Pidgey. "Its a boy." She said, handing him over to Dakra. Dakra smiled and said a word of thanks. "Now...what to name you..." Dakra wondered aloud. Then it clicked. Eye patch. "I'll name you Jack Sperrow!" Pidegy looked at Dakra in disbelief.

"Yes, of course. We always do." Ryka agreed, smiling. The Skitty was suddenly giant, encompassing the whole of Ryka's screen. She mewed, and Ryka giggled. "Hi there, Allegra. How are you?" The Skitty mewed again, and spun around in a circle.
In the shadows of the lab room shown on screen, an Umbreon watched the scene happning in front of him. His blue eyes glared out from the darkness as he watched the Skitty with a bit of jealousy - only a bit, for he was actually quite fond of having alone time. But every once in a while, who didn't want to be cuddled and adored? His trainer - who was on the large screen right now, as he noticed - was nice, but when she had entered that flowery place, he and the rest of her Pokemon had been sent to this lab. The Umbreon didn't resent his trainer, no, but deep down he did long for some kind of human contact. Deciding tp reveal himself, he slunk out of the shadows into the bright, open room. The first human he noticed was a blond girl all dressed in green, holding a little firey pipsqueak. He simply looked up at this girl, hoping that maybe she would notice him.

"Miss I just got finished healing your Yanma." Came the ever cheerful voice of Nurse Joy.
That information actually got a reaction from Robin as she sat up and looked over with wide eyes at the nurse. She was really worried about him and the large amount of damage he had taken. "Is he ok?"
"Oh yes, it took me a little longer then usual but your Yanma is doing just fine. Try not to let him get hit by any more Hyper Beams though."
Letting out her breath she didn't even know she was holding she nodded gratefully. Reaching up she carefully took the park ball from her and cradled it against her chest for a moment. "Thank you once again Nurse Joy. All it seems like is I keep coming to you with really hurt pokemon."
"Don't worry about it Robin. It is my job to be there and heal whatever wounds you come to me with." The kind nurse just smiled at her. "I hope you start having better luck Robin."
Smiling back slightly at the Nurse, Robin nodded and started to get up. "I hope so to Nurse Joy, I hope so to." Grabbing her bag and looking down at Luffy to make sure he was following her she left the pokemon center in Cerulean hopefully for the last time in a long time. Once outside Robin opened Raz's parkball wanting to see him for herself to make sure he was ok.
Appearing in a green flash was a perfectly healthy looking Razputin. The Yanma appeared to be a bit tired but that was it. When he saw his trainer though he did a happy twirl in the air showing he was A-Ok and he wasn't mad at her at all.
"Oh Raz I am so glad you are ok." Robin muttered as she reached out and carefully hugged her spiky bug friend. "I am sorry you had to get hit by that. It is all my fault. I forgot you could dodge that attack."
~~~~~~~
The two now outside stepped towards the makeshift arena that was nearby, it seemed like this was a popular place to battle so there was one set up all ready. "OK so what are the rules going to be kid"
"Umm... Ok I only have two pokemon so I am going to use those! How about a one on one battle with every pokemon we have right now!"
"Hn, ok whatever."
"All right then! I am going to use the pokemon I just caught a few hours ago! Lets do this Nidoran!" The boy tossed out a pokeball to reveal a the purple male version of a Nidoran. The poison type pokemon looked ready for battle its small claws pawing at the ground.
Looking at the small pokemon from behind his mirrored sunglasses he started to regret accepting this battle. There was no way this kid was going to be able to beat him. Well he had told him that much and he still wanted to battle. Shrugging he reached into his bag and pulled out his last pokemon. Tossing the ball out he revealed a sort of small clay top. "Xannon, lets not crush this kid all right?" The small doll just made a humming sound in agreement.
All in all it looked like it was an even match, Xannon was actually smaller then the kids Nidoran something the kid was quick to point out. "Heh you keep saying that your pokemon is so much stronger then mine. Look Nidoran is bigger then your puny pokemon! Lets show them Nidoran use your Double Kick!" The small pokemon charged forward before launching itself at the small Baltoy its feet aiming at the small body.
"Xannon blast it away with your Psybeam." That was exactly what the tiny ancient pokemon did. Not wasting a single second the clay doll pokemon's tiny markings glowed and suddenly a beam shot from under the Nidoran.
Kasiya giggled as she watched Allegra's antics with Ryka on the screen. Out of all the people she'd ever introduced the Skitty to, she'd never reacted like this before. Mostly she'd just shy away and still act all cute and whatnot, but now she was mewing and jumping all over the place, even running around in circles to show her excitement. "Okay, she really, really likes you," Kasiya laughed, realizing that Allegra didn't even show her that level of affection. She continued to smile at the kitten, glad to see her so happy.
Very suddenly a chill went down Kasiya's spine, as well as the strange feeling that someone or something was watching her. Nova seemed to be completely oblivious to this feeling as she squirmed down from Kasiya's arms and went over to investigate something shiny she saw on the floor - a quarter, no less. Ever so slightly Kasiya turned around, only to see the familiar sight of the blue-ringed Umbreon standing right beside her. "Oh, it's you again," she said brightly, reaching out to stroke Twilight's soft fur without even thinking about what she was doing. "What were you doing in that corner, all by yourself?"
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan knew quite well by now that gym leaders were far more experienced than your average trainer, and with this being his fifth gym match (albeit in a different region) he expected nothing less from Brawly. When the order was given for a Dig, the Hitmontop dug into the ground like a drill and vanished, leaving Metang floating alone on the battlefield to watch and wait. Okay, not much we can do now, what I wouldn't give to have had the foresight to teach Protect to Metang, Jaeshan chuckled to himself, but decided that he wouldn't dwell on what he didn't do. There was no sense in having Metang hover higher in the air as Jaeshan knew fully well that Hitmontop could easily reach him anywhere on the field. The only thing he could do was have Metang be patient and wait for an opportunity to counterattack.
Jaeshan had yet to say anything out loud, yet Metang turned back to look at his trainer and nod, as if he agreed with what Jaeshan was thinking. The blonde blinked a few times, and smiled - it seemed Metang was starting to exhibit more and more qualities of the Psychic-type and not just the Steel-type. This should certainly give us an advantage, he thought, not really sure if all his thoughts were getting through to Metang or not, or just the odd ones now and then. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, attempting to project his thoughts towards the Psychic and Steel-type. Metang, if you can hear me... when the Hitmontop appears again I want you to try and block it's attack with your Confusion. Don't use it as an attack like before, try to create some sort of barrier if you can. Got it? He opened his eyes and looked over to Metang for some sort of confirmation that his thoughts had gotten through, and he smiled when Metang nodded again.
The Iron Claw Pokemon continued to hover about four feet up off the ground, now trying to reach out with its senses to see if it could pick up any of the Hitmontop's stray thoughts, but there was nothing. The Handstand Pokemon was probably too far underground and the layers of earth and stone were blocking Metang's senses. The Pokemon focused, his fingertips already glowing with a faint blue aura as he waited to try and prevent the Hitmontop from scoring a crushing blow.
With a cry the Nidoran flew away and landed hard on the ground. The poor pokemon couldn't even try to pick itself up it was just knocked out completely. "Wow that was something." The boy chuckled as he withdrew his pokemon. Turning his hat so it was on the back of his head now he grabbed his last pokeball and tossed it out. "Don't think you have me beat yet! Let me show you my ace in the hole! Lets go Pidgey!" Out of the pokeball a small bird pokemon popped out.
Seeing the small bird pop out he sighed and looked over to Xannon. "Sorry about dragging you into this Xannon."
'...' The small doll sent the strange sound into his head.
"I hear you buddy. All right lets blast that Pidgey away with your Ancientpower."
'...' The small top like pokemon spun around once its markings glowing once more as rocks lifted up around him and flew towards the Pidgey and crashed right into it.
"Nooooo! Pidgey!" The other boy yelled as his pokemon fell to the ground out cold. "Wow you weren't kidding when you said you would wipe the floor with me!" The kid said as he recalled his pokemon not even a minute after it had been out.
"Hn. You promised to leave me alone now please do that." Was all he said as he recalled Xannon back into its pokeball and headed back to the pokemon center. Well at least his pokemon wasn't hurt so he wouldn't have to get the Baltoy healed up. As he walked through the door he saw spotted Nurse Joy who looked like she was done with his pokemon. Heading over to her he looked down at the premier ball and the pokeball that was resting on the counter. "Are they healed up all ready?"
"Yup! I just finished them. Good luck on your journey Mr. -"
"Hey! Nurse Joy you gotta heal my pokemon up!" The boy he had just wiped the floor with interrupted.
Sighing he just shook and gave a small salute to the nurse as he took his two pokeballs back. Putting Xannon and Turn A back into his bag he kept his newly captured Heracross out and upon exiting he let her out. With a flash of white light she appeared in front of him looking as good as new and ready for anything. "Hmm, I guess I should give you a name. I have never had a bug type pokemon before, or a fighting type. This should be interesting. Anyway I need to give you a name." Looking down at the deep blue pokemon he watched her for a moment before sighing. "Well, this name isn't very creative but it does suit you. Hera, you are the protectress of my team I hope you live up to your name."
The Heracross just stared up at her trainer through her large black eyes a fire of determination in them. Yes she liked her new name a lot. Protecting her new trainer and his pokemon. She would have to get a lot stronger if she wanted to become truly one with that tittle but she didn't mind in the least.
"Well all right, I need to head down to see Oak, would you like to walk with me?" As much as he hated to admit it he got kind of lonely with out a pokemon by his side. Sure he liked his two other pokemon but they were somewhat emotionless, he was sure that Hera would be anything but.
The boy handed off his two Pokemon to the nurse, shrugging when she told him that he should still be in bed resting. He took a step back and stood next to Mitsu. Kilik blinked at the ball. If they received that Pokemon from a friend of theirs in Sinnoh, that means that Mitsu just got an extremely rare Pokemon for these parts. The boy put his hands in his pockets and looked very closely at the red and white sphere. "Well, open it! Let's see what it is!" He was very excited to see another rare Pokemon. The images of the ones at the seminar were good enough to tide him over, but to see one up close and personal. He wondered what it was.
Mazarin frowned. How dare she talk in her crazy moon language in the middle of a battle! If she had something to say, say it so all of them could understand! He punched his palm, spun around and snapped his fingers. "And now we'll keep things going with a Faint Attack!" The boy moved his arms around his body and got into what looked like a karate stance as Shiftry mimicked and then disappeared.
"Oooh, where'd he go?" Mazarin looked around, knowing full well where his Pokemon was going to show up. "Is he over theeere?" He pointed behind Sasha, "or maybe over heeeere?" he leaned forward and looked behind him, between his legs. "Nope, not there. Oh, hey!" He pointed at the Lanturn. "There he is!" Obviously, there was nothing there. Suddenly, Shiftry came into being directly above his opponent then slammed his leafy fists point blank into Lanturn's head.
"Whoohoo! That's two direct hits, all for me!" Mazarin gave the girl a thumbs up. "Think you underestimated me!"
They sat in the pokemon center, side by side, waiting for their pokemon to be done. Olivia looked tired. She closed her eyes and hummed. Sam twiddled her thumbs. An awkward silence fell over them.
"It sucks that Kazdan didn't evolve." Olivia opened her eyes and glanced at Sam.
"Yeah I guess, but if he did evolve, he wouldn't be able to walk with me anymore. I've been wondering if I should make him evolve at all." Sam shrugged.
"From what I understand, evolving means bigger and better."
"Not necessarily. Like with Clefable. They don't learn any new moves once you evolve them."
"I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to be careful with Star and Miles."
"You won't have a problem, they don't evolve with stones." Nurse Joy walked over, lugging Kazdan in a wagon behind her.
"You know, you really should get him a pokeball," she scolded Olivia. "He's too heavy. What happens when he evolves?" Olivia shrugged again.
"Too lazy. I'll get him one if he does evolve. Until then, he still fits in the wagon." She stood up, and called Kazdan out of the wagon. As he climbed down, she turned back to Sam.
"Thanks for the battle. I'm going to try and battle Brock again now. Maybe we'll see each other some time." Sam doubted it, given the amount of trainers and different places, but all the same she smiled, and waved Olivia out the door.
"Your pokemon should be ready soon." Nurse Joy proceeded back to infirmary. Sam leaned back in her chair.
'Star should get a pokeball too. She can't keep up all the time, and I need to protect her sometimes.' She removed a ball from her bag. She didn't need it, she had two others. The nurse returned, with the tray wobbling in one hand and Star struggling to jump down in the other. She gave up and dropped Star. Rather surprised, she sat on the floor dazed for a moment, before jumping up into Sam's lap. Sam still held the pokeball. She looked at it, and scratched a star into top half of the ball. She pressed the button, and it opened. A white energy enveloped Star and sucked her into the ball. It shook several times. It settled down briefly, then broke open. Star sat indignantly on her lap. Sam checked the pokeball to see if it was broken in any way, but it seemed the ball had connected to Star before she broke out of it. She put the ball away, in case of emergencies. She took the other ball from Nurse Joy and placed in her pack as well. She placed Star on the floor, rather roughly, but in a joking way, and shouldered her pack.
"Time to go Star. Let's go train a little more. Let's head to Route 3 a little, and then we'll battle Brock eh?" Star glared at her, and sauntered out the door.
"Sure, sure," she replied throwing the Pokeball forwards. The flash of red light began to take shape, twisting and turning, building upon itself, and morphing into an almost humanoid figure. The red light flashed and burst, leaving the figure standing there.
"Hel-" the Pokemon paused quickly turning his back to Mitsu and Kilik. "Master. You really should put on some clothes." He said, simply refusing to look at her.
"Master?" Mitsu questioned the Pokemon, taking a good look at the strange new, and more-than-likely rare Pokemon native to the Sinnoh region. He was mostly black and blue, though his torso was a light brown, almost yellow shade. And furry. He had two elongated ears and three spikes across his body, one on each hand and one in the middle of his chest.
Still confused she flipped open her newly updated Pokedex. The default mechanical voice spat out:
Lucario. The Aura Pokemon. It has the ability to sense the Auras of all things. It understands human speech. By catching the Aura emanating from others, it can read their thoughts and movements. A well-trained one can sense auras to identify and take in the feelings of creatures over half a mile away. Also, this Pokemon is rarely seen or caught in the wild, thus making it quite a rare Pokemon.
Beep. And just like that the Pokedex was closed, the robotic voice fading until it completely disappeared a few seconds later. Mitsu looked up from the red device to the Pokemon standing in front of her. "Tate and Liza always gave the best gifts," she said smiling, "Welcome to the team Lucario."
