Roen Jaeger Devil's going to take it all, people. You... mean... Haelstrom/Vizzle?

Well, didn't it happen to Vince twice. Kind of.
He nearly cut Arian in half and lost.
But in Round 1, he got chocked out by Gold but won.
So, the points do kind of matter. And how the other person wins matters even more. If they cheat, than they deserve to lose.

Mmmh... I'd handle it on a case by case basis. I really can't tell you anything more specific than that.... hum. If one person has been damaged moderately more, but has written better than the other, I'd want to award them the victory.
If that helps at all.

The Favored Sin Roen Jaeger Devil's going to take it all, people. You... mean... Haelstrom/Vizzle? No, I mean Roen. I'd ask if you needed me to spell it out for you; but that would be redundant, don't you think so?

Vintrict Rhoslyn Vernal
Character C has an infinite depth and can go to the well for as big of a bucket as they like. As for Character C, he wouldn't even be allowed in. Dohoho. If only I didn't put strong checks and balances on Deitric's power use.

Lemme check the matchups, and I'll give you my predictions as to who the final, say, 8 are gonna be. Give me a minute.

Just Naota Well, didn't it happen to Vince twice. Kind of. He nearly cut Arian in half and lost. But in Round 1, he got chocked out by Gold but won. So, the points do kind of matter. And how the other person wins matters even more. If they cheat, than they deserve to lose. Technically, that one was a 50/50 tie, but the judge that wrote it as a tie was forced to pick a winner, so he gave it to gold, even though Vince literally ripped into him and almost left him dead on the arena floor with no damage to himself other than being incapacitated. That was a good fight, though, so I accepted it. I did however rage about a fight that could have possibly given my team what it took to get to the finals, even though I would have been DQ'd from it.

If that helps at all. It does and it doesn't, but that's a far better answer than saying "Don't worry about it because it's unlikely to happen". So, even though you can't give us/me a definite answer, at least now I know it would be determined according to the specific fight, which is probably the best way it can be handled. I can just see a lot of characters looking for and utilizing such openings. I mean, you've got people that can see and sense spiritual energies, assassins, ninjas, vampires... All sorts of characters who by generalization are renowned for looking for openings and capitalizing on them when they find them. I'm sure even some of the biggest, baddest brawlers on the roster, who are perfectly capable of pummeling your face straight-up, would take a wide open shot over one where they have to fight their opponent's guard, especially if it meant the win.I think it's potentially a more common situation than anyone gives it credit for. <- My opinion, again. Meh, that was too long ago for me to be accurate about it.
But yeah, the semi-finals were kind of weird. It was my first tournament so I don't think I was supposed to go to the finals.
Then again, I always thought the Dream Team was illegitimate, BUT I'll take all the votes I can get with a grin.

Omi, KB, Ed, Drejak, Deitric, Roen, Joel, and maybe Vrael. Of course, I'm sort of guessing based off of perceived ability and character power...
Either way, I do solidly expect to see Omi, KB, Roen, Deitric, and Joel going on pretty far.
