Sorry. Natural instincts ftw. I'd put myself above others in that situation too. Unless of course my wife and kids were involved, but that's complicated the situation. I agree.

It's impossible for us to know unless we were the person themself. Tatsuman Fortunately, I have a few friends I can trust to help me. Diving behind a desk would give me a few seconds to get my head together and get a plan made. Then, I'd execute it. It could fail, but hell, at least I tried. And if I died, I'd die a foolish wannabe hero instead of a crouching victim. Do you have your friends in all your classes? And desks aren't impervious to bullets, not to mention if you dive behind it suspiciously, he could just walk over and blow your brains out. Yes. My Nerd alliance has about 18 members, give or take. No, but the desk would make it so he couldn't hit my vitals. Then I'd kick his knee out and hit him with the nearest thing I could find as soon as he got in kicking distance. It only works like that in video games, honest! gonk I was talking about a teacher sized desk, and kicking his leg out from under him, not breaking his leg. I'm not exactly the strongest kid in my class. xd It still only works like that in video games! gonk

I dun wanna die. Who cares about Sally and Joe next to me. Seriously when it comes to surviving, I'm number one. The rest are number two (unless previously stated circumstances were in play).

I've had the experience and hyper-extended knees. Desks might not provide bullet protection, but it would be the best protection available and be a decent place to hide. I don't see what's so unreal about that.
