Jean watched as Kashkin left-- yet the aroma of his blood lingered in his wake. Jean watched Cosette and Armand for a while, yet as he tossed a card at her, she merely smirked at the irony of it and shoved it into her pocket. But his last comment nagged at her a bit, up till now she was down with the path of death and destruction-- but now she knew it was another bullshit reason to be in power and kill us all. And sadly, that was out of the question for her, but it was better to be at the right hand of the devil than against him-- well for now at least, Jean thought to herself.
Jean slowly loosened up her neck and scuffed her boots on the gravel, beginning to walk away-- when she heard Johannes statement, in which stopped her dead in her tracks. Even though she was thinking somewhere on the lines of him, she knew when push came to shove-- Johannes would most defiantly be on her side. If she really needed him that is. Jean noticed the new comers, and like Kashkin-- she too knew when it got to crowded for her.

As Jean walked away, silently wondering where a few individuals she knew were-- the wind beckoned at her back in a comforting way had turn around and nod towards Johannes in a-- ‘I’ll see you around’ type manner. Then like a phantom in the night, Jean emerged and vanished in shadows that surrounded her delicate, yet muscular form. Almost as if she was never there at all.

"The need to kill is the will to survive, my little feline friend." Prometheus replied. "Besides, my target, William 'the blade' Bradshaw, is a Lycan who is attracted to fire, cue the NYPD." He put up the rocket launcher and pulled out a sniper rifle and mounted it to find Will. He spotted him-in a white coat with black jeans. Prometheus moved the target range to maximum and fired, nailing him right in the head. As scheduled, HISSS agents showed up and took the body.

Cosette's attention span was terribly short and already, She was looking all about the shabby little bus stop. She waited, quiet but antsy for his trivial comeback to her accusation Armand's attempts at courting her around. Distracted, giddy and in such a wonderful mood, she didn't feel it would be too awful to simply decide she wasn't in the mood to just sit around and chat when it was such a grand night out.

“You know what?” She paused, merely for the theatrical lingering of a second. “How about we fix up some time to get together, Armand” She used his name, drawing out the syllables in that sweet honey smooth voice; devised merely to hold his attention. “How's that sound? Maybe you could meet me up at Las Noches. I've a room there now. I'm sure we could have a ...wonderful time.” Another lie, A fib that she slicked over in the unmistakable truth with that classic smile of mock innocence. She leaned up, planting a single delicate feather light kiss upon his cheek before straightening up and standing.
“Talk to you later, Spanish.” Cosette waved, before skipping along down the sidewalk, looking every bit much the girl she played herself out to be.

She turned the corner and drew to an abrupt pause, instantly mesmerized by a dazzling fountain, lit up and brilliantly captivating amongst the New York Night. It was possibly the one single thing, Cosette quickly decided, that was actually pretty in the chaotic crazy overcrowded city. Sparkling enough to hold her attention for more than a flicker of a second. In fact, She was already approaching it; a slender arm outstretched to touch the cool water.

Alasdair had vanished from the Las Noches room as soon as it had cleared. He had no intention of staying with the lycan, but he was interested in the girl that was with Luther. What could Luther want with her? She must me a strong fighter is the scientist used her as posse. So Alasdair was very interested in talking to her alone.

The vampire got his chance when his watchers reported that the girl was alone in the city, she was by the fountain. Alasdair knew the place very well; he had gone there from time to time to clear his thoughts.

So Alasdair appeared behind a tree, only a few feet from Cosette. He smiled and walked up to her. “It is mesmerizing.” He whispered to the girl as soon as he got within distance of the girl. He did not turn to look at her; he just walked up beside her while his violet eyes stared at the fountain.

“Alasdair” She muttered his name, visibly hesitating with her dainty white hand remaining still under the cool flow of the fountain. Cosette very rarely called anyone by their proper name. Only when she was upset or wanted to demand attention did she use the appropriate title. It was possible that she simply hadn't had time to come up with some demeaning pet name for the strange voidmatser, but it was much more plausible that Cosette in some awkward way respected the man who'd managed to collar her new friend. Also, She didn't want to jeopardize her twisted friendship and Luther's extravagant funding....Or most importantly her chances for power and a few more tastes of Luther's addictive blood.

“Yes, It's quite lovely.” Very briefly, Cosette's clever eyes glanced towards Alasdair; swiftly trying to gage exactly what his intentions were. It wasn't every day that one of the most powerful vampires in the city approached her. After all; With her sharp tongue and cocky attitude, she probably wasn't gaining the most lovely of opinions.
“You didn't change your mind and decide to strap me with one of those petty collars, did you?” Her eyes were back on the fountain as she spoke in a calm, rather civilized manner, seemingly placing more of her precious attention on the elegant fountain.

Alasdair grinned and turned to see the woman beside him, his violet eyes falling on the woman beside him. “Should I?” He replied playfully with a smile. While he was before the fountain, he could feel the cool air being blown by the wind, and the water gently crashing against his body. He enjoyed very much to be at these peaceful moments. Everyone needed a break every once in a while, even the most sinister of vampires.

“Of course not.” Cosette simply smiled, one of those played up innocent and perfectly harmless acts. She was presenting herself to be rather composed and even inviting compared to her childish tantrums and outbursts back at Las Noches, Even if most of it was probably impart to her mellow mood. She turned away from the fountain, setting her back to it as she leaned against the ledge, nearly seated upon it in a careful balancing act.

“I'm a good girl.” She paused, those brilliant blue eyes catching the hint of mischievous delight for the flicker of a second. As she spoke again, her dainty figure seemed to blur and fade out for the briefest instant. Then, smooth as honey and less than a fraction of a second later; She was at his other side, playfully demonstrating her swift abilities. They were quite possibly the one single thing that would keep her alive should she ever find herself in any undesirable situations. “Besides, You wouldn't want to strap my pretty little throat with one of those horrible things. It wouldn't be very becoming, It would look horrendous on me.”

Soft laughter erupted from Alasdair when Cosetter commented how hideous she would look with the silver collar around her smooth pale neck. She would look rather hot with it on. The idea played in his mind for a moment, but then he pushed it out of his mind. There was no real need for him to waste a collar on her. She had not proven to be dangerous or a necessary tool. Adrian wore a collar because he was a valuable hunter, and Luther wore one because Alasdair wanted the power he was creating.

“You should consider the idea of you in the collar. “ The vampire replied with a whisper. He was still looking at the fountain; he did not turn to see how Cosette moves so swiftly, he could sense her perfectly.

“Not unless you've got one made out of pearls, Alasdair. And even so, I wouldn't be open to the idea.” She murmured, soft and compelling. The soft breeze tossed droplets of water in her hair, already luscious and golden on it's own was now sparking with the dew and lights. Cosette then boldly decide to sever the small talk and really get down to discovering just why Alasdair was here. Cosette was pretty sure he hadn't simply decided to take a lovely little stroll in the middle of the night and stop for a look at the pretty fountain.

“You do realize...that once Luther breaks the gene that decodes it all, I'll be the first one to have all that fancy, extravagant power. Not you.” Her tone had fallen flat, speaking rather dully on the matter. Cosette peered over her shoulder, Watching the elegant flow of water for along distracted moment before those baby blue's turned to Alasdair. “He needs my help to do this, And once he does...It'll be all mine.” She paused then, leaning close; pressing high on her delicate tip toes so her faint whisper could be heard over the falling water. “I'm not sure why you think you'll get any of it at all. He just needed the money from you, He could have received it from anyone.”

Alasdair laughed, the laughter came from his gut. It was pure laughter at the girls comment. He did not respond any words, no words needed to be said. Alasdair obviously knew that Luther would not prefer him, but Alasdair had not lived for so many centuries by being stupid. He knew what he was doing, so he just laughed at the girls comment.

It was blatantly obvious that Cosette didn't take a favorable liking to being laughed at. Especially not by some old voidmaster that got his kicks out of controlling others with pathetic silver toys. She frowned, pouting like a small child playing all cute and coy despite how much she itched to disregarded her clean and pristine ways and just violently tear out his lovely vocal cords. Stop that idiot from laughing at her real fast. However, She remained still and well composed; The only hint of her violent impulses happened to be the slightest twitch of her slender fingers, a savage craving to see blood fly.

“I don't see what's so funny. You think you'll just be able to shock Poor Luther into obedience when the time comes? It that your wonderful intelligent plan, oh bitty old one?” There was cold mockery in her tone, A taint that betrayed her for her deadly thoughts despite the pure and senseless act she played. “Because you are so smart and powerful with all your little cronies and shadows that no one will do you wrong, Hm? At least, with all my time being some meaningless weak little creature, I've had plenty of time to scheme without jumping to arrogant ideas.”
PostPosted: Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:58 pm

Alasdair stopped his syndical laughter when he began to sense the violent intent from the girl. The vampire did not stop because he feared the other vampire, he simply knew that if he kept laughing it could scale into something worst. Besides, Alasdair did not intend to get into a conflict with the girl or else she would do something that would end up killing the mad scientist.

Now the vampire’s violet eyes moved from the flowing fountain to the girl beside him. He grinned as he turned towards her. “Mortal life is so fragile”, the vampire stated softly as his eyes trailed to the numerous couples that were also gazing at the fountain. Alasdair despised them, how weak they were. The vampire despised how they wanted to hunt the vampires just because of their fear of them. Did they not understand that the vampires where the superior race? Alasdair was going to make sure that the city knew who the ruling class was.

Armand did not take kindly to COsette's temperment. the short silence after she spoke th first time was not enough to come up with a good answer, and when she left, his still half-mad temper had both his revolvers out and poised at the base of her spine to stop her insistantly seductive walk. instead he followed her slowly to the fountain where he watched ALasdair and her talk.
his teeth gritted against eachother hin his mouth and he clawed at the stone wall beside him.
"Luther.. AGAIN!" He scoweld silently, turning around. all the comments of doubt that had touched him flooded back in an instant, he turned red in the face and his hands where again reaching slowly for his revolvers. then without notice, lik e the wind changing directions, he stopped, and the blush faded from his face, as did all teh malice.

"Genes... again someone is trying to figure out why vampires and lycans are so powerful.... to bad." He thought, smiling as he made his way to teh coven.

"poor luther has it backwards..." He chuckled at the thought and faded into The night.

Alasdair had a way of saying things without ever having to intend the effort of actually speaking. Cosette also discovered he had the ability to perceive others, sense their intent without needing to looking look in their direction to read them. Both if which, Cosette didn't like one bit as she felt an uncertain dread creeping up her spine. Although, On the other hand, those were probably some handy little abilities. She almost had to wonder how difficult it would be to wind the voidmaster around her little finger. A dangerous game to play, But would it be such an impossible task to turn the tables on Alasdair and make him out to be one of Luther's experiments? After All, the only thing Alasdair was good for was his lavish funding.
“Oh my, You almost sound like Luther now.” Cosette said, nearly laughing as her gaze followed his eyes; catching a brief sight of the lovestruck couples before her attention flickered back to Alasdair with a small smile. “Seriously, There is nothing too terrible about the humans. Despite their arrogance, They are really very simple. It's the vampires that play naughty. They all want to dominate and play god.”

Cosette suddenly hesitated, her delicate body falling still as she turned back for a look in the direction she had come from, Back where she had abandoned Armand after her frail attention span faded from him with his silent streak. Her hearing, impeccably well developed had picked up the whisper of a voice and she could have sworn she'd caught Luther's name upon the wind. She would have to deal with Armand later.
“I think someone is up to something. See, my point proven. Vampires are the naughty ones.” Cosette mumbled all smug, turning away from the corner and setting her focus back on the fountain.

Johannes had left after Jean. This man would fail as it seemed at this point also he had no orders about this man so he did not care. He looked down on the people form his new vantage point. Fools, beggars, killers, hunters and all others. What we are defines what fantasy is. Those of you who lives in this fairy tale and want to break out of the book, have nothing to win by doing so. Reality is bright and clear as it is shined upon from the sun and fantasy lurks in the darkness of the moon. Yet the connection is still my friends because the moon glows thanks to the sun. Never think to bad of a fantasy it what keeps us alive. With those thoughts he left to get back to the bar he recently left
