Bakura looked at Rei curiously; he didn't remember any kind of house like that. That had been on Rei's first trip to the past, and it was a sort of alternate universe. He was searching his mind, trying to figure out what she was talking about, when Mariku entered again.

Mariku wasn't angry anymore as he sat down, watching the two and trying to determine if Bakura was back to normal. "What are you talking about?" "The pharaoh is going to be after me for what I did. We need to either leave Egypt or go into hiding." Bakura said, sighing. "Do you have anywhere we could go?" "Well... I know of a place, but you couldn't go there. Sorry. Maybe you could go to Nubia." Mariku said briskly, with a hint of a shrug.

Watching the two, Mariku sighed, wondering why he was getting so soft. "Hey... maybe I can get you there. I was 'officially' kicked out of my clan, but we could sneak in, I guess. See, I am-- was-- part of a clan sworn to keep the spirit of the gods and of a few select pharaohs alive. The entire clan is basically an underground town. Literally underground; carved into the rocks near the Valley of the Queens."

Rei's eyes lit up "Really? That woud be very helpful!" rei looked over and let out asqueek as she noticed both children were trying to crawl "Keep trying you guys!" she said happly.

"Hmph." Mariku crossed his arms over his chest, closing his eyes. He knew it was a stupid idea to try that, but it was too late to take back his offer. They would be safer on the streets of Thebes than with his clan. Oh well. It was their choice, he would just avoid telling all of the consequences.

Rei had turned twards her children who were still learning to crawl. she couldent help but giggle as she watched them.

Mariku eyed the children, but what was more noticable to him was the lack of attention their father was giving. Mariku got to his feet, stretching his legs, and then went over to Rei and Bakura, holding his hand out to the thief. "Come here. I want to talk to you about a few things. If that's alright with you, of course." Bakura might not have agreed on other occasions, but he decided to go then. He ignored the blonde's hand and got up on his own, glaring slightly. Mariku smirked slightly, shrugging, and went outside, gesturing for Bakura to come as well.

Rei dident mind that bakura wasent really atentive to the children. He wasent really a people person. She knew somday he would grow to like them....somday.

Akila seemed to have just woken up, despite it being almost midday, and left her bedroom, yawning widely. She jumped when she saw Rei, and then remembered what had happened yesterday. "Right... right..." She muttered to herself, scratching the back of her head. "Hey, where are the other two?"

"Outside" rei said. She had moved over and waswatching her children playing with a piece of fabric.

"Ah, okay." Akila settled down on the ground, running her fingers through her tangled black hair, trying to get it smoother. "I hope you all slept well?"

Rei nodded "Yes." Femi looked up from her brother and cooed sweetly at akila babbling happly at her.

Akila smiled at the baby, wanting to hold the sweet little thing, or at least entertain it, but deciding not to in case the mother didn't like it. "Your children look healthy. That's very good. But why don't they have any amulets?"
