Reign DeSeer

PostPosted: Wed Jul 14, 2010 2:09 pm

Reign's hunt had been a short one. Being night, His eyes, thanks to animalism cut through darkness like butter, and coupled with the eyes of a hawk, He could spot what he wanted far easier from farther away. The type of bird Reign was looking for was one that lived and hunted the waters, which meant it wouldn't be odd to see it hanging around near the docks. Since it was night, the particular bird he sought would be roosting in it's nest of twigs along a rocky outcrop near the shore.

Spiraling down ward in the night with barely a flap of his wings, Reign would drop in on his goal once he found it. An Osprey. His large taloned feet gripping the sleeping raptor before it awoke before his beak ripped into it over one of the wings. He didn't seek to kill the bird, but he needed a taste of the blood for Loki's gift to take affect. Minutes later, Reign would be winging toward the docks with his form shifting to take the osprey's shape, plumage shifting to white and gray as Reign's hunt took him after Iden And Will.

Which meant, he'd be flying about as he looked for the ugly rustbucket of a truck while, taking in the whole scene of the docks and town from the air. Getting a layout, in the off chance that He had to help from the ground, which he may very well have to do after getting a look at some of the larger buildings. Before long he'd take a roost on top of the station where the truck was found. Not Too far from the docks to make the sea-bird conspicuous where it roosted.

By the time the bird found the truck, it had already been abandoned. The sun was to rise very soon, and Iden had already gone to ground. Hidden away in the local pump station dealing with the sewer system, he would remain there for some time before the next step.

Now...it was all in Will's hands. He knew what he had to do; Iden would do his thing in the meantime.

Dirt was easy to come by here, and rather than looking for shelter it was a quicker solution. As such, reign-bird found a suitable spot to take ground with earth meld, at least until dusk. He wasn't immune to the sun like Will, so Will would be on his own until then.

Leaving the pumping station and heading up to the truck, Will checked that his things where still in the bed before starting the truck back up and roaring off back towards the town; Reign would easily see the hybrid leaving the building and hauling a** towards town, if he followed was his own choice.

Moving back into town and back into the shittier parts of town, Will looked for a place to stay at, looking for one that would actually stay standing if hit by more than a heavy wind; it only took another hour or so to find a hovel to stay at. Dragging his things out of the bed of the truck and hauling them upstairs, Will dropped them at the foot of the bed and did a quick search of the room and found nothing; his paranoia calmed for a minute William unpacked his things, stashing his guns around the room before doing all the locks on the door and phasing through it with form of ghost. With the door bolted to prevent entrance to anyone even if they held a key, Will headed back down to the truck and headed off to investigate the docks; his pistol digging into his ribs slightly from underneath his shirt.

and so on and so on.

Egypt... warm. Ice could FEEL the memories under hsi skin as he stepped out of the shadow of the Sphynx at Giza and grinned up at the odd shape.

Speaking of shapes... his body warped and changed easily as he turned eastwards and started moving through shadow to the port town the boys were in.
Reachign the dock, ti was the work of seconds to change his hair and appearance, even his gender.
And for why? To give Will a glimpse of what LOOKED like Triste, darting out of his sight down an alley way. No scent gave away the true nature under the veneer, and the goat woudl be very careful to give Will just enough of a glimpse to think it was Triste before he vanished out of sight... and waited*

Outside, hiding from the blistering sun from mid day; a small girl sat under a tarp outside the dingy building where Will had decided to stay. From the looks of it she was much like many of the other vendors only her stand was more of a cardboard box filled with semi-wilted flowers. It appeared that they had once been fresh, and quite beautiful but lack of a proper supply of water and too much sun had let them drift.

She looked somewhat depressed, sitting in the sun with her scarf over her head as most women had to wear due to their Muslim heritage. She was of a fairer skin type than most, with bright green eyes which only became far wider open when will walked into the Street.

"Ishi!"

Westerners meant tourism and that meant they brought money with them. Climbing to her feet she ran over to him stuffing handful of flowers at him in the hopes he would buy them. Her mother was sick and she needed medicine to get better, something they could not afford with her fathers salary.

Scratching at his head as he dropped down the stairs two at a time, William regretted wearing the goddamn thing in the first place; his ears where crushed underneath of it and itching like mad. Hitting the street and hurrying to avoid most of the markets sellers, Will almost made it to the truck before some woman thrust a bouquet of wilted and dying flowers into his face; yelling 'Ishii' loud enough to deafen him. Cramming some money into her hands and taking the flowers from her, Will hurriedly jumped into the truck and drove off; the bouquet laying in the seat next to him, his rifle laying on the passenger side floor underneath a shitty rug from the room.

Driving back out into the dock area, Will parked the truck somewhere easily accessible and got out, preparing to start his inspection of escape craft they could use; instead he got only a few steps from the rust bucket before seeing what looked like Triste darting away between some containers. Pausing for a second, William wondered if he had really just seen that; he had told her not to come, so it couldn't be her. Hell she didn't even know where they where going; aside from that she was kindred, and kindred had a tendency to erupt into flame in the sunlight. Giving the alleyway between the containers a long final glance, Will headed off towards the first boat he would inspect; vowing silently to give Triste HELL if she had followed them.

*Ahh, a man based on logic. Well, that could work just fine in his favour too. He had time. He'd been MADE to learn patience. Thus, what came back OUT of the alley was a small child who happily played with a hoop, up and down the dock, surruptitiously watching the Nothing hybrid.

Time and patience.*

The Girl erupted into a joyful fit seeing the large sum of western money he'd given her. Such a amount was enough to buy her mother's medication and feed her family for the next month. Joyfully running into the alleyway to go tall her mother of the wonderful news, she bumped into a stranger sending the girl sprawling on her bum.

A similarly dressed women looked down at her. Face and mouth covered with black cloth, all that showed was the gleam of brightly colored amber hues.

<"I can give you ten times that if you just do me a favor...">

She spoke in a perfect accent, so much so that the girl would hardly take her for a foreigner; except for her strange eyes.

"مرحبا?"

No sooner had the trade taken place, Will was being trailed. Blending in seamlessly with the framework of the city.

Walking around the dock, seeing all the pretty boats, relaxing in the nice hot day, and bored out of his ******** mind; was what he was doing important, yes, was it interesting at all, ******** no. Eighteen small yachts, twelve pleasure craft, twenty seven small cargo transports, and even more and larger transport vessels and oil tankers; their best bet was going to be the small cargo ships, they where big enough to drive that s**t box pickup onto but small enough to sail themselves.

Walking back over towards the truck and hopping inside, William would start it up and begin heading out of the docks; avoiding the young girl playing around. Giving her a strange look, William drove off into town to explore and see what was where; making sure not to linger in the better parts of town for too long.

Reign DeSeer

Grumbling inaudibly, the DeSeer resting in the ground wasn't really so much sleeping as he should. Maybe it was because he at anxieties about William being off alone. Actually that was the case. He'd never worked with William on a mission before; Roan sent Reign off solo usually. Despite everyone being separate right at the moment, they could all communicate thanks to the blood in their veins. But for the moment he wouldn't.

His restlessness had him surging up from the ground in the dark alley he'd taken to use as his temporary haven. His dufflebag was secreted behind some cans there, and he'd go to it to pull out what he'd brought. His eyepatch, to cover his beholder eye, then some sunglasses.

Instead of moving out, He slipped deeper into the shadows and sent out a call, low hardly audible, but it would travel quite a bit. In every city town, or other semblance of such man made there was a certain animal present. The rat. he was calling them, Not many, just a few to send out to relay his messages to others of their kind. It was simple, A brief description of a man to watch for him, William. And then, he set them forth to do his bidding hidden from the eyes of humanity. In essence, he was building a network to watch from.

Some time later, he'd garbed himself similar to the inhabitants of the down and made his way to the docks. Here, he'd do the same with the rats, but instead of rats, His particular watchdogs would be Gulls, a bird that inhabited nearly every coastal community. he made sure that whole flocks didn't fly to him, but one or two at a time would be all he needed. Several times he did this along the docks, but he steered clear of the warehouse that was the target, not wanting to get caught.

Through it all, he'd noticed that sometimes the animals he'd called to had acted a little strange as if frightened. Seeing as the animals he'd called to were really adaptable, something had to be amiss, just what though... He didn't know.

.: William, Do watch your back, something's off here... :.

Driving through town, watching for places of importance and people/things following him; William was playing over what he had seen in the dock yards once again, that glimpse of a person. It couldn't have been Triste, could it? About then Reign's message reached him, making him worry even more; this wasn't Triste, Reign would have just told him. Not even a day in the town and someone had already found them out, cursing to himself William would add on a little more gas; leaving the better areas of the town as quickly as possible and heading back towards the room. Parking outside the 'hotel', William wrapped up the assault rifle on the floor and hauled a** back up to the room; looking about the area before heading up for anyone who was watching.

Once back inside, William would prepare his things for an attack; they where spotted and it was best to be ready for an attack at any moment. Remember, you are not paranoid if they really are out to get you.

*Observation. Thats all there was so far. And what Ice was seeing....

Lets just say over a year in the strange hell like realm Ice had been banished to hadnt done much for his already lacking sanity and humanity. Thus, as he slid back into an alley after watching William reach his final destination, the smirk on the demented goat's face as he turned back into an adult male form was beyond disturbed.

He didnt go for his usual blue tinted tattoo'd look, but instead let his skin take on the olive colour of those who lived always in the sun, white garments covering his body, his head shaved save for an ornate snake tattoo on the right side of his skull.

Satisfied for now, he was off to seek his own allies in this sandy place, and he knew JUST where to find them. All he would need would be a simple resculpt as he got to where he was doing. Pointed black ears, snout, and, that deeper voice he had once used....

Time. And patience. Ice had both. And the sweet sweet taste of his desires just tantalising his tongue, barely outside of his grasp. How wonderful*

Nightfall.

Since none of the other players in this train wreck in the making were deviating from their activities, it would leave the day to end fairly uneventfully. The town grew chilly as the sun set, and those who hid from the light of day, both supernatural and mundane, emerged to do their business.

Iden, for one, roused to a familiar headache, but worse, something felt horribly awry. There was a tugging at the back of his head that was difficult to ignore; he couldn't place his thumb on it, but he knew it was nothing good. Cursing the distraction, he reached for his radio. First things first, he needed contact with Will.

C'mon...Will, you there?

Strange...Iden spoke far more short of breath than normal. As he tried to get in touch, he lifted his free hand, and noted that it was shaking...

...not good. Soon as the report was done, he'd hit his fix. This couldn't do, not now of all times.

Jumping slightly as the radio suddenly squawked and started to call his name, Will let out a deep breath trying to relax; with the sighting at the docks and Reign's warnings William was wound up tight, almost to the point of jumping at shadows. Reaching over to the nightstand, Will grabbed the radio and answered Iden.

"Yea, I'm here and I have some bad news; I think we've been found out already, Reign thinks something is up as well. I don't know who it is yet but be on your guard at all times understood?"

Grabbing his assault rifle with the newly attached M203 and wrapping it back up in a blanket, William got ready for whatever would happen tonight.

"So, what's the game plan for tonight, or are we just going to play this one by ear?"
