DDS remains my favorite series of MegaTen games, and I really wish they'd make more in that style. >.<

I will admit. I think I had more overall fun with Digital Devil Saga 2 than I did with Persona 3. And that's saying something! XD

...Stack buffs? o wo I always consider things in a "Damage Per Turn" setup - doing 2x damage every other turn is, essentially, the same as doing 1x damage every turn, so you need to increase your damage faster than that. Passive buffs are really good for this, since they don't require a "charge" time, and either Charge skill added on works wonders. It's even better if you have a custom skill with high damage output, but...
For maximum damage from one character? The power of Friendship. ^^ Somebody who's dedicated to offense, someone who's dedicated to buffing them, and someone who's dedicated to debuffing the enemy. When you work together, you can do far more damage per turn than you can while alone (although, as a few characters can demonstrate, it's possible to be ludicrously strong even when you're fighting solo).
Mind you, this isn't taking into account any completely hax items or NPC-only powers. ^^ Just what basically any character can do, assuming they have enough skill slots. But enough friendship and teamwork will give even the most powerful NPCs some serious trouble.
