I wasn't here Loli o.o I was driving to my dorm and setting up... and dammit it took too long >.>
And I can agree with that D< HOWEVER, since I'm a good nerd I did all of that ahead of time so I didn't have to do nasty lines owo
Now I'll be working on homework and lurking~

There's no point in me doing it ahead of time. D< My pass expires August 31st, so if I buy it now, I'm losing a whole day of free commuting. A WHOLE DAY.
I like my station office, though. =w= My roommate has to wait in line (though wait times are always very short) to get hers, but because I take the Tokyo Metro rather than JR East, I get to go to the quiet station office here. They're really nice, too~ =w=
Yes, Serend, you can eat all the ice cream! 9w9 But ice cream costs money. D< And you'll eventually find that it's just not worth it sometimes. [/unhelpful]

D: ...Why you crush my dreams, Loli? ;^ ;
Oh, well, I don't even like ice cream all that much. D< It's tasty enough for me to spend an extra fifteen minutes on the buses to get a cone, but not enough for me to waste all my moneys on it!
;^;' I don't even get that much moneys.

Because there are two lines that go from my station, both of which go to two different stations not that far from school. The metro goes to the closer of the two stations, and it only takes 25 minutes to get there, rather than 30 minutes on the JR line. Of course, the JR rapid is only 21 minutes, but that's during a small window, and it sucks having to ride for half an hour on a crowded train (which it usually is). And I almost always get a seat on the subway line, even if it's during rush hour, when I usually have to fight people and be obnoxious to get a seat on the JR.
I do like the JR line better, though. It stops at lots of great places (Tokyo Station, Akihabara, Ueno) and we discovered that the stop before ours is actually notably closer to our apartment than the station we usually use, and the view from the train is nice.
Oh, and the metro is about $40 cheaper.
So, various reasons! D<
But everyone looks at us weird when we tell people about our differing train routes. ;____; Last semester, we'd swap train passes to go home, since I could catch the rapid from my last class, and she had to stay late, so the metro was the best option. People were always confused.
All this ice cream talk is making me hungry... What I would do for a cup of salty butter biscuit. D=

From all that Loli, I still dont understand why your roommate would take the JREast to go to school if the other one is faster/more comfortable o-o. I'll just blame it on Japan making people act weird D<
And Icecream... I want some >> Chocolate Mint or Black Cherry or Orange D< Or the classic Neapolitan for when you can't decide =D

Better stops. She goes to Akihabara pretty routinely, and it's really convenient when you can get there for free.
And actually, JR East is more convenient. You can transfer to all of the major train lines, including the metro lines. I was tempted to switch this time, but I have a class at 10, and hell if I'm riding the Keihin Tohoku line during rush hour. D< It's one of the most crowded train lines in Tokyo. During rush hour, it has 209% overcrowding.
Look at this. Just when you think they can't possibly fit any more, THEY DO. It's awful.
Orange ice cream sounds delightful. o_____o
