Lori took the note and pursed his lips. Okay, so Luca wasn't comfortable making everyone think they were insane. That was a-ok with him. He smiled broadly when he took the pen and wrote back a simple yes.
He moved to slide it back, thought better of it, and took it back to add just relocated one. little one at work!

Luca's eyes widened. They'd relocated one? They had a little one at work? "Can I meet it?" He asked. Was it a baby dragon or did they come in varying sizes? His not so inner nerd had awoken.

"Yeah, sure," Lori replied with a chuckle. He loved how excited Luca looked and was grinning himself. "We don't keep anything captive if we can help it, but Pixie's got a depth perception problem so it was take him home or doom him. He's pretty much just a pet now." How happy would Luca be if he got to feed the dragon ham?

So they'd saved a tiny Dragon from certain death. Not being able to see things properly, at least, not being able to tell where things were... That could've caused some major falls. And he could meet him! He beamed at Lori. "Tomorrow, do you think? When's your lunch? I can bring you something."

Lori laughed. More plans already! At work too, but not about books this time!
"Sure! I take lunch when ever I can, around one? Let's call it one and we'll go looking for him. He has his own little territory. It shouldn't be too hard." Plus animal magnetism. Pixie always seemed to be there when he left the department. "You don't need to bring me anything, you nut."

"One's good," Luca smiled at him. "I could bring you lunch," He offered. At least a coffee. The coffee couldn't be that good, it was a government program. At least, the library's coffee generally tasted like sludge.
"What does Pixie like to eat?"

"Sure, if you want to," Lori said. Aww. Luca wanted to bring him lunch? For some reason he felt like that made them more official. He'd have to bring Luca lunch some time!
"Meat is good, but he'll eat fruit too. That's pretty much his entire diet unless someone decides to feed him pancakes. He's like a little wyverny thing?" He made little nubby t-rex arms, realized he was doing it, and laughed. "I mean, he's got his own genus and subspecies and so on and so forth but he's just Pixie."

"What do you like?" Luca's culinary abilities were limited to sandwiches, toast and soup, but he was sure he could find something Lori liked at the store. "Not salads," He remembered, smiling. "I can get fruit, do you have a favorite?"
Fruit and meat. He could do that.

Fruit for lunch was not unheard-of.
"I'm pretty easy-going. I don't like mayonnaise. That's about my limit. Except the spicy stuff they give you here, that's great." Not that mayonnaise ever went with fruit anyway. "There's food in the cafeteria too. It's really not so bad, if you want to just eat there. Technically it's just for staff but that's only because Pixie likes to hang out in there."

Luca smiled. No mayo, that was easy enough. He could make plenty of things. "I'll bring you lunch at one," he said. "We could have lunch together."

Lori nodded. "I'll make sure Pixie can join us."
Seamus was kind of a p***k to the poor little thing on the rare occasion they crossed paths. He didn't try to harm him, but he did like screwing with him, and that wasn't very nice. Unseelies didn't always respect disability.
"Oh, hey. A friend of mine is having a birthday party next weekend. Do you want to come?"

A birthday party? Luca paused for a moment. He nodded. How long it'd been since he'd been to one? "That'll be fun. What do you think he'd like for a gift?"

Lori shook his head. "He doesn't really do the gift thing. You could always bring booze, though. That's my gig, so if you're coming with me you don't have to worry." He smiled.
"They're all good people, I promise." He reached over the table to take Luca's hand.

No gifts? Huh. Luca found that interesting; wasn't it customary to give gifts, human or otherwise? "Booze," he echoed, thoughtfully. "Wine and things?" And Lori was bringing some. Interesting.
He gave Lori's hand a squeeze. If they were half as good as Lori was, they were bound to have a good time.

"More 'things' than wine, but yeah," Lori replied. So Luca didn't drink much. That was fine. He really wasn't much of a drinker himself, although he'd let himself get a little warm and fuzzy from time to time.
He squeezed Luca's hand back. "It's really easy-going. Just food, friends, games. Good food. I hear he's catering his own event this time with Maia."
