She walks over to him, then puts her foot to the tree, then brings her other one up andfalls down. "Owwies!"

Seph yawned a bit, but it was only for theatrics. He had posted himself on the roof again, a cup of tea in his hands.

Nyl sat on the edge of her bed, studying something she was holding. With a shake of her head, she put it in her top dresser drawer and looked at the fox on her bed.
"You coming?"
It jumped down and followed her out onto the porch.

Seph held the mug to his lips, gazing out over the field. The force he had felt not long ago hadn't reappeared, but he didn't feel good about it. He looked down.
"Hey, Nyl."

"Seph." She thought about it for a few seconds before jumping up to the roof, as well - carrying the fox, because obviously it couldn't jump up with her. She looked at Sephiroth, showing no expression except to raise one eyebrow.
"I want to know why."

"You're going to have to be a bit more specific." He looked over to her, placing the mug on the roof next to him. "Why, what?"

"Why are you wearing a mask? Why could you tell me what was wrong with me without even blinking twice? Why do you sound so flat when you speak?"
They were alone, at least. Nyl wouldn't have asked within earshot of anyone.

Had it been anyone else, he would have lied. He would've have told her it was simply a face protector, and that he was just tired of emotions. But it was her, and not only would she see through any lies of his, he also couldn't bring himself to do so.
Slowly, Seph reached up to remove his mask. The half of his face he had revealed to her was still intact, but just beyond where he had held the mask the night before, the skin melded into a lower layer of reflective, metallic material. Seph also had no eyeball in this socket. Just a red ball with golden crosshairs to act as a focusing retical.
"That should answer your first question." He said.

((Oh noes! Seph's been BORGIFIED!))
"Well...yes, it does answer my first question. And maybe also the second one. ...But it makes me want to ask a whole lot more."
Nyl didn't visibly appear the least surprised by what he showed her. In contrast, the fox - now standing on the rooftop - backed away and growled.

(( XD ))
Seph looked at the tiny fox, and this time gave a genuine sigh. He replaced the mask. "Yes, it should answer your second question, as well. This eye has different levels of vision. Chakra, Skeletal, muscular, cardio vascular.." He looked back out over the forest. "Half of me isn't real anymore.."

"Oh, I don't know." Nyl sat down, pulling the fox into her lap to stop it from getting upset. "Looks pretty real to me. I mean, that's not like...the false image of metal, right?"

Seph shrugged. That wasn't what he meant, and he knew that she knew that. He wasn't about to explain something so frivolous. He stood up and pocketed his hands. It was obvious which arm was human. The one with the goosebumps.

Nyl raised her eyebrow at him again, frowning. "Are you...cold? It's really not that chilly out here right now...wait. ...You're Sephiroth. You don't get cold."

"No, not cold. Just not used to half of me being made of something other than flesh-and-bone." His answers were very straight-forward and very to-the-point. His brain now seemed to weed out the useless bits of information before forming sentences. Apparently, half of his brain was now just a mechanical marvel as well. A CPU.
"I make myself do that." He said, speaking of the goosebumps. "It's my way of making sure that part of me is still human, without using a razor."
