"I've had nothing to change for." he replies, his eyes still tearful. He holds her hands and looks at her for a moment, then turns his head towards Rikku, wondering where she was going. "You think we should follow her?" he asks.

"Well well now...What's a Hunter doing out at this hour with a great big sword like that?"

He glances off into the distance, and catches sight of Cal holding a sword, muttering something under his breath. He had seen this person around in other places, and he wasn't an enemy then. Nothing had changed, and so he ignored him.
