Kilik merely leaned against the wall of the Center next to the door leading into the laundry room. He watched Robin go into the bathroom and out again, his eyes following her to the couch to see her lay down. The boy closed his eyes and smiled to himself. It was nice to be with someone new. He heard a ding come from the laundry room. In a flash, he was inside, opening the dryer to pull out his clothes. They were nice and warm. Gathering his belongings, he walked out of the room and shut off the light, closing the door behind him.

Once he was in the bathroom again, he dropped trow and pulled on his garments once more. It felt nice being in his familiar clothes, only clean. It had been quite some time since they were washed; at least a week. He stretched his arms a bit. He was lucky the wash hadn't shrunk his clothes. Walking out of the bathroom (with his Pokeballs attached firmly to his belt), Kilik took one last look around the room before stepping out of the Center into the town outside.

The night felt cool, brisk even. He closed his eyes and leaned his back against the Center wall. After a minute or two of thinking, he pulled Bahamut's ball from his belt and pressed the button in the center. It enlarged to fit his palm and he glanced at it. "You're going to evolve. It's what you want, right?" he tossed the sphere up, shielding himself from the bright light that signaled the coming of the Vibrava. The Pokemon flew around for a little while, completely reborn thanks to Nurse Joy's help. She flew down to Kilik and hovered in front of him, chittering happily. "Ready for some hardball?" he asked, smirking a bit to himself.

He went for Scizor's Pokeball then paused. She was already quite high level as it was. Their levels were close enough to each other as for the fight to be well off, but the idea of training two Pokemon of completely different levels was more appealing. Taking the Great Ball off of his belt, Kilik kissed it. You'd better be careful, Kilik. There's no telling what kind of rampage he'd get into if he started losing. "Lairon! Come on out!" With that command, the behemoth appeared from the light. He loosed a mighty roar and looked dead on at Vibrava. "Settle down!" Kilik barked, and to his surprise, noticed that Lairon had stayed put. "Now then. The two of you are going to be sparring partners. Follow me." The trainer began to walk towards the exit of the city with his two Pokemon in tow.

After arriving safely in Goldenrod City the night before, Miharu and her Pokemon were all rested up and fed as she stepped outside the Pokemon Center and into the light of another beautiful Johto morning. Miharu had changed her outfit that morning as well, now wearing her favourite pair of baggy jeans (the fact that the knees were ripped open didn't bother her) as well as a red-violet tank-top, and a fairly heavy silver chain-linked belt. She'd pulled her green hair into a neat ponytail, and affixed a matching flower to try and emphasize that she was indeed a girl, and not a boy. Time to try and lose the tomboy look, her thought had been, and as far as she was concerned, she'd done a fine job of it. She felt good about today, although she wasn't sure if it was just the wardrobe change, or if things really were working out in her favor.

She inadvertently found herself heading in the direction of the gym, even though she really didn't plan on challenging the leader right that second. She was dismayed, however, to find that the gym was closed, and that Whitney, the leader of the Goldenrod Gym, had been AWOL for a while now. "That's not a good way to start my day," Miharu sighed, stuffing her hands into the deep pockets of her jeans and sitting down on the gym's front steps. "I guess there's nothing left to do but get some training in before she gets back," she mumbled, hardly realizing that she was talking to herself again.

She sat there for about ten minutes, silently hoping that the gym leader (or anyone, for that matter) would approach, but there was no such luck. Finally, she stood up and pulled her compact Mach Bike from her belongings, and went about setting it up before she mounted it, and began to cycle north. Having been here before, she knew that the National Park lie ahead of her, and that there were most likely some trainers already out and about, and eager to do battle. Even though she didn't actually plan on battling anyone just yet, she figured there would be room for her Pokemon to at least get some exercise and maybe a few wild Pokemon to battle with.

((Fast-forwarding to after supper! *presses magic button* ))
Kasiya hadn't taken long to follow Keegan in from the water, although it took a bit to convince Ariel and Levi that it was time to go. Once back onshore, Kasiya wrapped her own towel around herself, and signaled to her own Pokemon to follow her. She heard a cry from Levi, and laughed as the small Mudkip was practically begging to be picked up and carried. Kasiya was happy to oblige her, although she missed the extremely jealous look that was thrown at her retreating back by Shocker.

Upon getting back to the Cinnabar Pokemon Center, Kasiya showered and put on her pajamas, content to eat her late supper in her very informal attire. She made sure each of her Pokemon had good meals, and she kept the chitchat to a minimum as she was still debating if it was a good idea to swap her entire party over in order to train her lesser-experienced Pokemon. Levi is definitely staying in the party, and Allie and Rosemary are being transferred over as well. Ada should be too, and what about Flash? Digger? Her mind was still racing even as she said goodnight to Keegan and retired to one of the vacant couches in the corner of the room. She was wise enough to pick one where the sun wouldn't shine on her face and wake her up too early, and she was asleep so fast that she didn't notice that Levi had broken out of her Pokeball to cuddle up with her under the covers.

"Say, where are the two twins?" Mary-Anne asked between a gulp of pancakes. With her stoumach a little more settled, she slowed her eating down to something that was at least decent in the world of table manners. Of course, with the Daycare Man's style of attacking his fodder, she didn't think that his wife would honestly see hers as anything noteworthy.

"Ah. . . the two left last night," the Daycare Woman answered pleasantly. "They've left some regards for your friend Ky." Before Mary-Anne could ask more, a voice floated in from behind her.

"I take it Ky is asleep."

The brunette positively jumped at Crenu's voice, turning her head slowly to meet the boy's face. Of course he was here, they'd taken him back. So why was it so surprising to see him there? Had it been a week since she'd seen him, only? No, it might be even less than that. Yet it felt like much longer, a year or more; he was like a stranger to her again (not that they'd known each other very long to begin with, but that wasn't the point). A stranger to which she knew not what to say. "Ah. . . yes," she answered instinctively, blinking after a moment. "Uh, are you. . . alright?" Her last couple of words pulled out mechanically in her awkwardness, and she wasn't exactly sure what to say. Should she be glad? Wary? Nonchalant? Concerned? The last of the adjectives seemed the most correct. Her eyes ran across his bandages on his body and face, though she could do little else than stare.

"Come, come, eat," the old man suddenly said amiably, breaking the brief silence. Upon looking at him, he appeared to be composed as ever, dabbing his mouth with a napkin as if he hadn't been flying at his food like a rabid lion a second ago. His wife promptly pulled up a plate and set it on the table, by the Daycare man and across from Mary-Anne. "Lucky we got this table, hmm, darling?" she said, smiling at the furniture as if it had been quite faithful in being able to support all who were there. "And good morning to you, young man! How /are/ you feeling?" The repetition of the question didn't seem to phase her at all, and she continued. "The nurse left before you all woke up, and said that you're stable. . . Better take it easy for a while, though! If anything acts ups, she's back in Goldenrod in the hospital."

"Thank you for the hospitality, but I'm fine." He bowed a little and took a seat, across the table he looked at M.A. and the look on her face. He winced as he sat, his body still ached but he tried to hide it as best he could. "Did your Swablu make it out alright? I tucked her in my coat when she entered the sandstorm, but that's when I got hit..." He felt awkward, but tried to remain cool under the situation. He still didn't know what to say, or even if he should say anything at all. He had left them after all, and he didn't exactly plan on meeting up with them again, not this soon anyway. He simply took a glass of juice and took a sip from it, he didn't really feel like eating, though his stomach growled quietly.

Keegan had found himself to be quite hungry, and had eaten a good deal more than he'd initially intended to. His Pokemon each seemed to mirror his appetite, and he was certain that everyone was looking at him funny as he went back for a third helping. Finally, the growling beast that was his stomach was satiated, and he put all his Pokemon back into their respective Pokeballs to rest for the night. He still hadn't figured out how he'd break it to Kasiya that he wanted to travel alone for a while, because he didn't want to hurt her feelings, or have her start worrying about him. The last thing he wanted was to hurt her. Again. He watched her curl up on one of the couches, and smiled. She'd been through a lot that day, and he hoped she'd rest well. He hadn't thought about the direction in which the sun would rise the next morning, so therefore he chose his bed rather unwisely, unaware that he'd most likely be woken at the crack of dawn by the playful sun.

And indeed he was awoken; the sun shone through the clean windows in devastatingly bright rays, and Keegan groaned, covering his head with a pillow. "More sleep, thank you," he mumbled into the fabric, although the rumbling of his stomach said otherwise. He silently wondered how he could be hungry after eating so much the night before, and he finally gave up, tossing the pillow aside and sitting up. The morning was nothing short of beautiful - all around the sun made everything shine with a brilliant, golden glow. "I'm liking this place more and more," he murmured, resting his chin on his arms and watching as the sun came up. So far, out of every place in Kanto he'd been, Cinnabar Island was most definitely his favourite (and it wasn't just the volcano that swayed his opinion, either).

Kasiya found herself awake relatively early as well, although the sun was already fully up by the time she groggily sat up and rubbed the sleep her eyes. Across the room, she could see that Keegan was already awake, and she smiled. "Good morning, sunshine," she giggled, pulling a still-snoring Levi from under the blankets. She put the young Mudkip back into her Pokeball, and stood up, stretching. "I haven't slept that well in a while," she said, thinking back to the dream she'd had the night before last. It had felt so real, but she silently reminded herself that most dreams felt and seemed real at the time. "How did you sleep?" she asked, pulling out her clothes and checking them over. They were clean enough to wear again, but probably not for much longer. She sighed, hugging them to her chest as she waited for him to answer her. She found that she really wasn't all that hungry, but she somehow knew that skipping breakfast would be a bad idea, and that Keegan would probably nag at her if she didn't eat something. It's just because he cares about me, she pondered, nearly blushing as the very thought caused her heart to miss a beat.

"Morning," Keegan replied quickly, deciding to forego his usual response of 'what's so good about it?' He scratched the back of his head, and nodded, grinning at her question. "How'd I sleep? With my eyes closed," he said, chuckling at his own stupid joke. "Actually I had a pretty good night. Just wish I could have slept in a little bit longer." He watched her gather her clothes, wondering if she'd noticed that he'd slept in just a tee shirt and his swimming trunks. Probably not; she'd fallen asleep rather quickly. He got his own clothes together and stood up. "I'll meet you in the cafeteria," he said, nodding in the direction of the change rooms. "Then we'll have breakfast and figure out what we're going to do today."

He got up and slipped his shoes on loosely before making his way across the main lobby and disappearing into the boys' side of the change rooms. He dressed himself and quickly ran a comb through his hair, deciding against his long overcoat and white long-sleeved shirt for today as well. If it were anything like yesterday, he'd feel like he was roasting within moments of stepping outside. He made it out to the cafeteria first, and he grabbed a cup of coffee before sitting down to think about his choices for breakfast.

"Very funny," Kasiya said, rolling her eyes at him. However, she nodded and made her way to the girls' change room, where she went about her usual morning business. After dressing, she brushed her hair out nicely and tied her green bandanna onto her head, and smiled at her reflection. She loved that bandanna, although she wasn't exactly sure why. She took a little longer than she'd initially planned, and by the time she made her way back out, Keegan was already waiting for her, sipping a coffee. She wandered over to the counter, and got a few pieces of toast, a bowl of yogurt, some fresh fruit and a glass of orange juice, then sat down across from Keegan, placing her tray on the table. She stared at her food for a few moments before she began drumming her fingertips on the tabletop. "I'm not really all that hungry," she admitted quietly. "I think something small for now, then a good lunch later today." She sipped her juice, and began to put a few of the smaller pieces of fruit into the yogurt. "What are you going to have?"
PostPosted: Fri Jan 18, 2008 7:19 am

"I think I'll have a little bit of everything," Keegan replied cheekily, finishing off his coffee and standing up. He grinned at Kasiya as he made his way over and began to fill a tray with good things to eat. He carried it back over and set it down, rubbing his hands together. "Nothing starts the day like a good meal," he told her, dumping generous amounts of syrup over his waffles. "Are you sure you don't want anything else?" he asked, gesturing to his own plate. "There's plenty."

He ate rather politely this time, going over the Kanto geography in his mind. Since they'd come from Vermilion City by ferry, it was logical that he could return there the same way. Or, perhaps he could even ride the ferry all the way back to Hoenn - although his stomach churned at the very thought of such a long stay on the water. From Vermilion, he could also travel back north to Saffron and catch the train, which in his mind felt a lot safer. Either way, both the ferry and the train would arrive in Slateport at some point, and from there it was a quick trip north up Cycling Road to Mauville, then north a little further towards Mount Chimney and Lavaridge Town. He had his sights set on the gym in his hometown, and he curled his hands into fists as he already had begun to think of strategies for battling with Flannery.

"Ah. . . oh! Is that what happened? Er, thank you then. . . very much, for protecting he!" M.A. said, voice earnest and eyes looking directly at Shiro. She blushed a little bit from embarrassment of her sudden burst, and leaned backwards. "Ulani's fine, she's eating over--" No, no, the bird had flew over to them by this time, first giving Mary-Anne a morning "kiss" of sorts before landing on Crenu's head gently. The Swablu crowed softly, nesting in his hair and picking out some small piece of lint. "I think she likes you plenty," the girl said, laughing just a little.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 18, 2008 5:18 pm

At this he couldn't help but to crack a small smile. Despite his serious atmosphere and lack of expressions lately, he still loved pokemon. "Either that, or she likes my shampoo." He started to scratch the fluffy wings of the cotton bird pokemon, but stopped as he returned his attention to M.A., reverting to his stone like expression. "The nurse said I was brought in by some trainers, that would be Ky and yourself I presume." His voice changed from the smooth calming tone to a colder, sharper tone. It was clearly not a happy tone, but neither was it angry or upset. "What were you doing there...why did you bring me here?"

Yume watched with a smile on her face as her and pix united, the sore in her heart was gone, it was as if it haden't been there in the first place. Absorbed by the coming of her pix her cooed and stroked the vulpix gently. Her other hand was also stroking sparky gently, oh how smooth sparky's coat was! Like butter! Yume thought to herself rather surprised. Not noticing, steffi seemed to lean down and do something to sparky, but yume was not concerned at all, sparky was her companion after all.

"10 or 20 minutes? Cool! Don't worry about sparky, Pix and i are always here to guard him." She said smiling cheekily to steffi.

Pix wriggled and purred in happiness, she was once again with her master! She smelt the scent of her owner long and hard, how different was steffi's! Yume smelt like the wind and wood she thought to herself while enjoying Yume's gentle and graceful strokes on her head and on her back. Pix pushed herself to settle on yume's soft silky mahogany colored hair, that part smelt like wood. She wriggled around again and moved down to yume's arms and sniffed, this part smells like freash air. "Voo-L!" said Pix happily at her new discovery of her master. Her ears twitched... Something was watching them...

Yume giggled and flailed as pix was wriggling all over her, soon after she broke out in tears and laughter. "AHAHAHAH!! Pix! ahahahaha!! hahaha! Stop! ahahahaa! Its tickling- ahahaha!! hahaha! hahaha! me!!" She said with much difficulty, the tears were rolling down her cheeks hot and fast. Not knowing why the thought of home came to her and she stopped laughing, home... Where mom was.. Where mom's deliscious food was.. Where the comfy soft clean bed would be, and she was giving it all up for this ; yume was distressed, but deep down.. She knew this desicion was not a mistake. She was going to make her mother proud by winning some contests and badges. She would show them boys in her little town that she could do better then them. The word determined settled in her mind.

The grass nearby rustled, pix was beginning to get worrid. She looked up to her master only to see her masters eyes clouded and misty, how well she knew that look! That was the look when her master was deep in thought and shouldn't be disturbed. So pix took things in her own hands.. or paws in any case. Leaping away from her master she went and stood in front of the grass. Poised for action, pounce, tackle, ember, anything. She was ready and oh so sure something was there.

Yume watched still a little bit stiffly from her thinking mode, as pix leaped away from her and faced the tall grass, was something there? she thought to herself as this was how pix usually acted. She set sparky down on the floor and stood up. She bent forward a little and shifted her feet a little. This was how her father had used to hold his battling stance. Never once when she watched did her father fall over from whirlwind or stagger back from fire spin. She was proud of him, and now it looked like it was going to be her turn.

Despite the fact Ky was such a sound sleeper, nothing could be said for his nose as the tasty aroma made its way under the door frame to permeate throughout the room. Opening his eyes slowly, Ky groaned as he felt various aches and pains travel through his body. Before standing, he stretched his legs a few times, trying to get rid of the soreness as he breathed in deep breaths of stuffy, morning air. "A new day..." he said with a quiet yawn.

Opening the bedroom door turned Ky's mood from sleepy to excited in a matter of seconds. First, the small aroma that could barely reach his nose before now overfilled it, followed by slight bits of drool escaping his mouth. Second, was the sight of all (well, most) their Pokemon eating along the side of the dining room. Third, was the sight of Crenu, looking beat-up but nevertheless healthy and conscious. Having walked up to the table during his last question, Ky answered with a bit of a frown in a quizzical, sarcastic tone.

"What do you mean 'why did we bring you here?' You were knocked-out, cold, and this was the closest place we could find. As for what we were doing there, well, we could ask the same. We were trying to find a lost Pokemon when we came across you, fighting a whole mess of ghosts. That's pretty much it," Ky finished, taking a seat with a grumble, his mood now in a happy-irritated kind of swing. What'd it matter how they met? They helped him hadn't they? His anger growing by the second, Ky tried to suppress it with a mouthful of pancakes, not even bothering to transfer the middle stack to his own plate. "A rittle fanks wouldn't hurt," he said as he chewed, purposefully avoiding eye contact.

Not all that put-off by Ky's lack of manners or his current mood, the old lady spoke up cheerfully. "That reminds me Ky; Niel and Ray left last night, but they left you a gift in thanks," she said as she passed Ky a small, folded piece of paper. "It's waiting out back for you as we speak."

Still chewing his first mouthful, Ky took the paper and began to unfold it. "Hm, wonder what they're so thankful for," he thought dumbly at the last fold. As soon as he finished reading, his jaw had fallen and gone numb, leading to a disgusting ball of chewed pancake to fall straight from his mouth into his unexpecting lap. Surprisingly, this didn't phase him at all. Instead, he reread the letter multiple times, slowly contracting his jaw into a smile as he did so.

"Rex..." he said softly. "I like it."

Kasiya giggled at the amount of food Keegan had stacked on his plate, but shook her head. "No thank you, I'll be fine. You don't have to worry about me," she said, her cheeks flushing a little. She wasn't used to having someone around who was always making sure she was all right. Subconsciously, her hand traced the wound on her side, but it had started to heal quite splendidly since Keegan's 'magic touch' had cleaned it up and set it right again. She smiled, swiveling her spoon around in her yogurt a few times before scooping up a piece of melon and eating it.

It was silent for a while as they ate, and Kasiya could see the pensive look on Keegan's face. She knew that look all too well, and she finished the last bite of her second piece of toast, and pushed the plate aside. "So, what are your plans for today?" she asked, emphasizing 'your' quite purposefully. She knew Keegan was quite eager to continue getting his own badges, although he'd have to travel back home to Hoenn in order to do that.
