Kyosuke looked at th beast diving toward them and then over to Hikaru. He jumped over to her and grabbed her, lifting her up. He jumped toward another branch in hopes of the beast missing it's mark. It worked, but instead of crashing through the canopy like he was hoping for it slowed and landed. He heard wing beats behind him as it began to chase them.
"Turns out this place isn't a safe as we all thought. This is a lot more fun than I was expecting."
He began to slow a little as he noticed the footing was getting weaker. He could see the ending of their escape route coming closer and closer. He could still hear the wing beats, and the were getting louder. The east was gaining. He a branch broke under his right foot and he started falling. A second later he let go of Hikaru to grab a branch and then grabbed her arm. He could still hear the flapping over head. He heard the sticks and the branch hit the ground below him and Hikaru. A second afterward an ear splitting roar rang out from below. It was so piercing it made him want to let go of Hikaru to dampen the sound. He didn't though. He looked down to see the top of a large reptile with wings. It's scales were red and black. It ran toward the tree line. There was about 5 feet of clearing before a cliff into a river valley. The beast jumped from it. It's wings open, it glided for a second before it began to flap and gain altitude. The new beast had a much larger wing span. A span of maybe 25 feet. It looked like a dragon but had no fore arms. The Wyvern looked around for a second to see where the disturbance came from and took notice of the first winged beast.

Haru chuckled. "We should be getting back before..." He was interupted by a commotion down in the jungle. His eyes focused in on the rousing Wyvern near the spot he knew Hikaru to be. Onyx flew from its home into his hands and he looked to Xiadessa, torn. He knew his sister could handle it,especially if she was with Kyosuke, and he badly wanted just to spend time with Xiadessa. But every instinct was that the twins should fight everything together.

Xiaedessa stuffed the Octoreach into her bag then grabbed Haruto by the hand and leaped out of the other side of the cavern. They landed swiftly onto the back of what appeared to be a mythological beast Kirin. She gave it a pat and it kicked off, hopping from branch to branch, reaching Hikaru and Kyosuke in less than a minute. she leaped from the back of the creature, landing on the back of the wyvern. It began to thrash back and forth, but she held on tight, and managed to send her blade into whip state. "INCOMING!" She leaped from the beast, back onto the Kirin, lashing her blad off, slicing the serpent's head clean off. The body fell to the ground with a loud crash, and they came to a halt. "Wow, Haru, that was fun, I had no idea such thrills existed out here!" She gave him a sudden kiss, then got off and patted the Kirin, then approached the corpse "Hey, Kyosuke, you don't suppose we could roast this tonight, do you? This thing looks like it's big enough to feed everyone pretty decently"

"Holy s**t... You did not just do that!"
He lowered Hikaru down to another branch and hopped down himself.
"Why the hell did you kill that?! You don't just go around killing things for no reason! The thing didn't even know we were there! And now that it's dead, no I don't think it's safe to eat. Even if it was, the thing just fell into the river about a billion miles below us! GAH! Who the hell just kills stuf like that?"
The wyvern slid off of the small cliff ledge into the canyon. He took a deep breath and placed a couple of fingers on his left, pulsing temple.
"OK, one thing Xiaedessa, you don't just go to an island that's been isolated for a few thousand years and then start killing things in-indiscriminately, that's against international poaching laws and no doubt, once things things are discovered by scientists the lack of them will put them on the endangered species list. No more killing. You could have possibly made the entire species go extinct with that one kill. We obviously don't know how many of those there are. And what's more, what the hell is that thing in your bag trying to escape and the horse thing?"

Xiaedessa pulled the Octoreach out of the bag upon Kyosuke's comment, and held it by it's tentacles. She turned to Haruto with a sweet smile "I'll cook this up really good for you once we get back to the beach, it'll be the tastiest Mollusk you've ever had, I promise!" She walked over to the Kirin and patted her on the muzzle "She says her name is Cara, she is a Kirin, and has been living alone on this Island for a long time. She has been watching all of us since we arrived, she wants to come with me when we leave."
Xiaeriene arrived back at the beach and started a fire using some rocks and paper. She pulled a large bird out of her bag, and placed it on a stick overhanging the fire.

Haru smiled back at Xiadessa, then sent a message to his sister. Something is wrong, we need to get a message to Irachu before she gets a chance to go to the ruins. I fear she may be losing control. He looked to his hand. He secretly hoped it was a possession, and she really did not think he was so weak as to need to be lead by the hand everywhere.

The first flier had flown off at the appearance of the second, larger predator, though since Xiadessa had killed the second creature, there was nothing left to watch for. Hikaru softly thanked Kyosuke as she lightly made her way to the ground. She had preferred to not kill any creatures, but it appeared Xiadessa had been a bit rash, something rather unlike her.
I'll get on it right away. Stay with Dessa-san at all times if you would. Keep an eye on her, Haru, and keep her safe, from others as well as from herself should it come to that.
Hikaru smiled softly at the two, her dark eyes giving no hints as her concern for her friend.
"I guess I'll let you two be and continue on exploring the jungle. Take care."
Glancing over to Kyosuke, she nodded, gesturing he was welcome to come with her as she ventured further. Once out of sight of Xiadessa, Hikaru closed her eyes, pausing beside a tree as she concentrated her mind on finding Irachu's aura and mentally calling out to him.
"Irachu...Haru thinks something's wrong with Xiadessa and believes she could be losing control. We're not sure it's wise to let her go into the ruins like that...What do you suggest?"

Xiaedessa crcled Haruto with a queoning face "Haru, what ever is the matter? You look all wierded out....I guess I did go a little overboard, I have not been hunting for wild game in a long time, I daresay it is fun, mother was ever so good at catching some tasty creatures and cooking them up over an open fire." she suddenly realized something, and her face went red and pouty "Haru, you're hiding something from me, aren't you? I know, you've gotten bored with me and my presence is annoying you, isn't it! Well, in that case I'll be a ghood girl and go cook up your dinner!" She turned and hopped onto Cara, and headed off to the beach. she dismounted, and her steed turned and headed off back into the jungle. She walked over to her cousin, who was bsy roasting game of her own, and pulled out the Octoreach "Hey, Reeny, that looks really good, did you catch it out there?" She placed the Octoreach on the spit to be roasted and put it over the fire
Xiaeriene turned to her cousin "Yeah, it looks tasty, doesn't it." Her eyes widened with hunger as she saw the Octoreach "Wow! You got an Octoreach! I haven't had one of those since the family dinner we had after beating Kyros....damnit, I should've brought some Nutmeg, that is the best seasoning for those!"
Cara headed through the jungle, quickly arriving at Hikaru's location. She spoke to her directly through her mind "It's no use, the mist surrounding this island prevents any sort of messages from getting through, and also prevents anyone from coming or going using powers.....frankly, it is a miracle you made it through in that machine. Anyway, I have a favor to ask. i want you to watch over Xiaedessa, she has a very weak heart, and I fear that something ahead is trying to take it from her. She is strong, but, even her visions cannot alert her to the danger she faces. However, she must head to the ruins as planned tomorrow, if not then something horrible will happen to this world. The ancients granted the Tiara of Iris to the queen of Atlantis, but the powers of it were misused by her, a mere human woman, and it ultimately led the the ruins you see today. The Magi placed the seal on it within the Shrine, so it's power would not overwhelm this world. The mist surrounding here is but a small fraction of the Tiara's power, and if Xiaedessa does not claim the Tiara as her rightful adornment, she will not only fail to be recognized by Eternity, but the mist will only grow, and consume this world. I was placed here to guard this sanctuary and see to it that the reincarnation of Iris obtained the relic, but alas, I fear something sinister is in the works, and even I cannot pinpoint it." She turned and shook her tail invitingly "You are welcome to ride me back, as a friend of Xiaedessa's, I trust you, I will take you all back to the camp, it is getting dark rather quickly, and I am sure you all have some things to plan out."

They start off in the direction of the forest. The trees looking like skyscrapers, swaying in the pleasant breeze that swept up suddenly. The breeze chilled Souda, because of its contrast to the heat of the sun. The inside of the forest looked luminous with little shines of light coming through the trees from the sun."This is going to be fun, i havent explored just for the fun of it, for a verry looonnnnggg time!"Souda said smiling widely.

"I have confidence in Xiadessa that she will be able to accomplish such a task, that I do...For now though, I think I'll walk about a bit more before returning."
Hikaru politely nodded at the unicorn before walking off, her mind sorting through her thoughts. She looked about her, seeing yet in a way, not seeing. She took in her surroundings, but she wasn't committing them to memory, using half of her mind to think.

Guraha came out into a clearing, and spotted the hot springs up ahead, where his aunt was chatting with Cosmona "Miss Souda, I believe this is where I go my separate way, I will see you later this evening." He smiled, then ran off to the other side of the cliffs, where the male Hot Springs were located. He spotted Cyrus already there, drinking from a large bottle of Sake, and Phobos and Deimos were off on the other end of the springs, their arms around each other, relaxing in their own little world. He removed his clothing and entered the water, taking a spot next to Cyrus. "*snort* eh, don't worry, I won't bite, duders, I know you are straight, but don't worry, I won't make a move on you" He let out a high-pitched squeal, then clutched his belly and laughed "Though I might just have to join those two muscleheads this evening if Miss Souda has other plans"
Cyrus eyed Guraha suspiciously, completely red in the face "Oy, ya 'etter not go 'en try makin any move 'un me, *BELCH*I got ma eye on ya!"

Xiaeriene stood up, letting out a nice long sigh of contentment. "Hey, Dess, let's go take a load off at the Hot spring, last one there is a rotten dragonball!" She stood up and ran into the jungle, quickly making her way to the Hot Springs on the outer edges of the jungle, overlooking the ruins from up above. She looked around for peepers, then cautiously and quickly removed her clothes and entered the water, on the side at the far end, away from the headmistress and the others. Instantly, she felt a rush, and she settled down into the smooth, steamy water. "Ahhh, this is so good, the ot Springs of my dreams"
Xiaedessa smiled, as she put out the fire, and discarded the remains fo the Octoreach that were unedible. She followed after her cousin, and within minutes, was relaxing in the hot, fragranced water.
Honey turned to Koori and Asuka "We should be heading down there too, the Headmistress wanted everyone to experience the vitalizing effects of the Hot Springs" She turned and headed off to the Hot Springs as well, joining Patwinka and Cosmona

Kyosuke followed Hikaru as she wandered off. They didn't know what was lurking so it was better he followed her.
"Hikaru, I think it's time we get looking for those hot springs."
Koori sat up and stretched. She stood up along with Asuka and both followed Honey to the hot springs.

Zangonya followed suit and headed off to the Hot Springs after everyone. She soon came upon the area, and she quickly got ready and stripped. She stepped out into the clearing, her manhood dangling out in plain sight, and she set foot into the water, sitting next ot Namagi
Namagi had been keeping to herself, content with watching the area toward the male spring to make sure Izumi didn't try anything. She glanced at Zangonya with a irritable look and inched herself away from the girl. Or guy. Frankly, she really did not know what Zangonya was, she called herself a guy, and had a guy's parts, yet had huge jugs and posed as a girl. Which, she found to be a bit annoying, that she would be so bold as to enter the girl's hot spring, if she was indeed a guy.
Asuka blushed when she saw Koori's naked body, but she did not further her advances and instead was content with accompanying her as was. Her face was priceless as she spotted Zangonya's manhood dangling between her legs. She turned to Koori with a whisper as they approached the spring "Um, am I seeing things, or does she have meat and two veg between those thighs of hers?"
Bardok had spent the late afternoon checking out all of the weapons in the storehouse, then had caught himself some fish in the river and had some chow. He was now in the Hot Spring, leaning back with his eyes closed, as the two masked trolls got all queer and cozy off in the corner, and Izumi was off at the other end chatting with Guraha about girls and laughing at Cyrus as he danced around in the water singing Spice Girls songs while pissfaced as could be. He wasn't big on small talk, he was simply there because it was requested of him, and he enjoyed the calm relaxation there in the water
Olivia arrived back at the beach, and without a word whisked the children up. She led them through an unused path through the jugnle, arriving at the ruins. They entered the city and disappeared into a large, temple-like structure

Koori turned to see what Asuka was talking about.
"Huh? What the hell? Why are you here? You're obviously not a woman. Get outa here ya frikin' perv!"
Kyosuke came out of some bushes at an empty hot spring.
Where the hell are everyone? This islands volcanic! There could be hundreds of these things here! How do we even know they're at the hot springs?
"Jeez... I'm lost. ******** jungle."
Just the he heard Koori shout at Zangonya.
"Yes! Found 'em."
He jumped back into the bushes and went around the hot spring and came out of the bushes at the female spring.
"Ho' s**t. Looks like I got the right one! Much better than sitting around with a bunch of nude guys!"
