I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I joined right before the guilds went down. I've been in Florida visiting my family so I haven't been online, but I'm back now.

Eh, to the item update. -shrugs-
You could look online for shower ideas or they write books on the subject.

BrokenWing My friends and I are planning a baby shower for this one girl, but we have NOOO Idea what we're doing. crying The easiest way to plan a celebration is to pick a theme first. Most party stores now have all the matching decorations and a baby shower game book to go with. I think you can also get a game book at walmart. The book will have preplanned game sheets. Or if your creative get the games offline and print up/decorate your own books. (thats what I did wink ).

For my shower when i was pregnant with naaman, we had it at my aunt's house. and.. everyone brought a dish to pass. And, what we did for prizes is went to a dollar store and bought lots of little this and that bath stuff... and made baskets.

Yay? Sort of great news for me. I was just promoted to vice captain of a guild I'm in. It's definitely interesting. I'm just hoping I can do the job very well.

For my baby showers, we just had potluck, sat around, ate, talked, and opened gifts. It was very casual. Both of them were couples showers. We didn't play any silly games for which I was very glad.
I'm going to lock Boo's guessing game later tonight so if anyone wants to enter a guess and hasn't already done so, you'll need to do it in the next couple of hours. I think I'm going to give a little prize to the person from Gaia who gets the best score on it.
The info to get to the game is in my journal.

At my babyshower we did do all kinds of silly games, I espicially liked the Name games that we played, Ill have to go back into Ayla's baby book to find what the games were actually called.
Id second the thought to good babyshower, and picking a theme for the shower it really does help, but so does making a list, much like a wedding, invitations out a certain ammount of time in advance, posting somewhere a list of what you might possibly still need for the baby, with sears or toys r us etc. So people have a general idea of what to get you.
I also suggest a varied food plan, as what happened at my shower, we didnt know that one of my friends had recently gone Vegan, and we didnt have cake for her that didnt have eggs in it.
