New decision as of this morning. Am definitely going to enter Kia Ryou's art contest. Grand prize is a Halo. There's no way I'll even manage an honorable mention type prize since the Halo will tempt so many awesome artists to enter, but I can't sit and do NOTHING when such an opportunity exists. gonk
Cheer me on! And hey, if I win second prize (i.e., if all the other artists decide to become Amish and give up being online before the end of the contest) that means Angelic Minis for Kimi without ever having started her quest. *lol*

This sounds so horribly stuck up, but I'd confidently place myself in the upper half and perhaps upper 1/4 of Gaia's artists. There are still a butt-load of artists who can school me with one hand tied behind their back though, and I'm pretty sure many of them will enter this contest. XD
I'm just going to do my best. My weapons of choice will be shoujou influence, girly little details like lace and ribbons, and a background influenced by Miyazaki anime. *flexes right hand*
Lyoko: Feel free to PM me, but I'm putting a hold on all edits and slimes until I can get this art contest entry finished. And I'm slow, so we're looking at at least two months. Probably more like three. Longer if the contest deadline allows.

*checks contest thread* Ah, deadline is near the end of July. That gives me about four months. That should be enough time for me to illustrate something that I would consider prize-worthy. At least, within the limits of my abilities. XD

Meri: Two or three months? xD;;; Errr... I think I'll just see if Kimi would like to attempt it. Do you happen to know if she's as animation savvy as you are? I sorta need this within... a month and a half or so.

Savvy, yes. ^_~ I may not be as creative or talented as Meriko in the art department, but my technical skills are pretty sharp. My major was Animation and Graphics before I switched to Web Authoring, so when it comes to Photoshop, Flash, ImageReady, and all that jazz, I know the programs very well.
Edit/CYA statement: Of course, by "very well" I am speaking from an average-Gaian standpoint, not from a professional one. *heh*
